Griffin was sweaty, smelly and he was tired but he was not about to let a captain get eaten in front of him. He took a deep breath and filled his head with calming thoughts. Which was better said than done as his heart was beating fast and his needles cracked around him.
Still, he got what he wanted. Everyone was tired and getting weak. And the monster was still strong enough to kill them. What they needed was a critical attack.
He formulated a plan. The monster had stopped blasting them with pressured blood as it was trying to swallow Fur.
"Everyone! Everyone!" The Captain froze as his voice echoed, slicing through the air like a sharp knife. "I want you to distract the monster with everything you have! Don't let it leave its current position! Do it and I promise you a dead Lacrid!"
