New Team

Sasuke activated his Sharingan and charged towards Mira who had a confident smile on her face. This irked him since he knew she was stronger than him. But that didn't mean she should mock him about it.

He launched his first attack, a feint towards Mira when his actual plan was to hit Mira's stomach. However…"

"Too predictable." Mira said. She parried the feint causing Sasuke to be off balance and sweeped his feet which made him land on the ground. "Is that it?"

Sasuke's eyes got angry. The burning desire of killing Itachi flowed through his veins giving him a boost of adrenaline. If he couldn't defeat Mira, how could he even dare to challenge his older brother?

"Fire Release: Fireball!"

"Earth Release: Impenetrable Wall!"

Mira countered Sasuke's jutsu by creating a wall to take the blow for her. When it broke down, there was dust everywhere. Mira used this to her advantage and charged right through the smoke causing Sasuke to be off guard.

"Take this!" Mira exclaimed as she threw a punch.

Sasuke was quick to duck and send a counter attack. He was able to land a kick towards Mira's stomach, but it suddenly turned into smoke. His eyes widened when he realized what happened.

"Tricked!~"

Mira appeared behind Sasuke and kicked his back causing him to stumble forward. She knew she was starting to get onto Sasuke's nerves now.

Sasuke couldn't believe what was happening. How could he have been tricked? He had his Sharingan active and everything, so why couldn't he do anything?

Mira smiled at Sasuke's frustrated expression. She needed to do this in order to progress Sasuke's growth rate even faster.

Everyone surrounding them couldn't believe what they were watching. Sasuke was known to be a genius, after all, he was the "last" of the Uchiha clan.

He was proficient in ninjutsu, taijutsu, and was ahead of everyone back when he attended the academy.

Yet, against Mira, he didn't stand a chance. Simply put, Mira was leagues ahead of Sasuke. After all, she was trained by the genius Shisui Uchiha who became a Jonin at the age of eleven.

"Sasuke, you have too many flaws." Mira said as she dodged another one of his attacks. "Even with your eyes, you still can't see what's wrong."

"Shut up!"

In one swift move, Mira punched Sasuke in the stomach causing him to fall back.

"You focus too much on reading what I'm going to do, too tunnel visioned. And when you're about to attack, your eyes give it away. Try to stare straight at your enemy instead of looking at the place where you're going to attack."

Sasuke was too dependent on his Sharingan. His ego had caused him to believe he was stronger than everyone else and he had no weaknesses.

"Alright, that's it." Kakashi said as he appeared in between the two. "We can all tell who the winner of the battle is."

Mira smiled, she had achieved a flawless victory against Sasuke. In reality, she was just happy to fight one of her favorite characters in Naruto.

This battle would force Sasuke to train even harder. He would add Mira onto his list of vengeance because of the humiliation she caused him to suffer.

Once again, Mira reappeared on top of the Hokage Rock. She sat down and used Kamui to place her mask back into the other dimension.

Mira wanted to see Shisui again, but she couldn't. She decided to kill Danzo and take his eyes before she could see him. After everything Shisui did for her, it was only right for Mira to return a favor back.

As she was mindlessly thinking of future events, she sensed a familiar presence appear next to her.

"Kakashi, what is it?" Mira asked.

"The Hokage has called for you, your team members will be announced." Kakashi replied as he disappeared into smoke.

"Okay, I'll be right there." Mira mumbled as she used Kamui to appear behind the door that led to the office.

"Come in!"

When Mira opened the door, there was the Hokage, Kakashi holding a book, and a girl with light brown hair and blue eyes.

"Let me guess, I'm going to be paired up with this girl, and we're going to take on missions together." Mira said in which Sarutobi nodded.

"But where's the third member? Didn't you say two more will be joining me last time?" Mira asked.

"He's right there." Sarutobi said as he pointed to Kakashi.

"Eh?! Kakashi is the third team member?! Doesn't he have to train Team Seven?" Mira asked.

"I do, but that doesn't mean I can't go on missions, and fight bad guys." Kakashi said. "I can always create a clone of myself to teach them anyway."

"And the girl with light brown hair is Hinoko. She was a former ANBU member and I decided to pull her out of it to join the team. She may not seem like it, but she's very skilled." Sarutobi said.

Mira was confused, this has never happened in the anime. There wasn't a girl named Hinoko as far as she could remember.

'Butterfly effect…it's starting…huh.'

Mira held out her hand to Hinoko.

"Hello, my name is Mira, I'm looking forward to being your teammate, and working with you in the future." she said with a wide smile.

Hinoko reluctantly took Mira's hand, "I'm looking forward to working with you too."

"And since you've all met each other. I'm going to be assigning you an A rank mission." Sarutobi said.

"That fast? We just met." Mira said.

"That's true but this is urgent. You all will be going to Kirigakure to apprehend assassins. This is a request from the Mizukage herself." Sarutobi said.

"But since she's the Mizukage, can't she take them on by herself, or with her shinobi?" Mira asked.

"That's right, but lately, there has been a shortage of shinobi in their land. Their tradition of producing strong shinobi is not very efficient." Sarutobi said.

Mira understood what he meant. She had learned that in order to graduate in Kirigakure, they would have to kill each other, and the last one standing would graduate.

"And who are we targeting?"

"Assassins and shinobi who are targeting the border of Kirigakure. They're trying to breach through the gates and we need to kill all of them."

"When do we start?"

"Now, get there as fast as possible."
