Bangawoyo...Park Jimin

The car emits smoke. So does he.....

There appears at least one moment in our life when we don't like what we are, what we have done or what we have become, when we just want to throw ourselves into a closet out of embarrassment and remain hidden in there forever, or at least find a stone nearby to shoot ourselves beneath it to find a suitable shelter booked for our craving souls, which no one can ever find.

Verily...

It was...

...

Perhaps...??!

The worst embarrassing moment of my life.

He stood immobile in his position, enjoying every bit of time passing as my face kept on gaining shade after shade of red. The hotness spreading over my ugly face just ignited their accumulation.

Other times I am pretty sure I would just brush it off and give a neutral look with a smile on the face like nothing happened at all, and who cares anyway? But now... I just...couldn't. Why? Maybe because...it was him... the Park Jimin...

The whole aura of him was so daunting and I...

Ugh!

Brushing off the sheepish screen conquering my face, I managed to smile, even though in the most awkward way possible, 'Haha, Jimin...ssi, I was just er...umm...how long have you been standing over there?'

'From the time you started dancing...? I didn't wanna interrupt you, so...' the smirk was bound to never leave his face. rather growing wider with the passage of time, 'And woah! I see you are really good at it. I wonder why you haven't applied for an audition yet. You could easily get through any if you had wanted.'

His words sounded like an extreme devilish mock rather than a bunch of compliments to me, rankling and poking right onto my thin skin. I mentally cursed at myself, being fool enough to even come in here. However, he wasn't supposed to be here either, so why was he?

'Wasn't your practice over? Why are you still here?' 'I stayed back for more practice.'

'Don't overwork yourself. You practiced all day, you need to rest.' I faked a smile, thinking that I was succeeding to divert off the prevailing topic but-

'If I had left with others before, then would I be able to witness this hidden talent of our manager at all?' The absurd smirk now was turning into a grin. Teasing me, huh? Better know the price for it before as you do. I scoffed inside.

'I must be interrupting your practice. I shall leave now.' I did a bow and shot myself towards the door. 'I am done for today. Let's go.' with that, he accompanied me on the way out, the last thing I had wanted. However, I wasn't allowed to protest, so my mouth kept shut to maintain my first day at work's humbleness.

Both of us stepped into the elevator and pressed the button to reach the ground floor. I stood facing the steel door of the elevator, trying to be unaware and unconcerned of the figure standing behind me with a face of impassiveness. I could see his partial reflection on the elevator door, I could feel that piercing gaze on me from my back. I could see the 'him' him from the night of that mission. And the one from the fansign event. He still remembered at me, not well but partially, that was enough to get me most restrained at myself. I knew I had to be more careful. But now, the uncomfortableness inside me was rising and making an effort to push off my neutral expression to break into pieces.

Calm down Y/N, I said to myself, he's intimidating but, still, one of those targets you need to tame by yourself. Keep your professionalism On. Point.

'Y/N,' His voice was low when he called me from behind. I turned back in a trice as if my mind was in wait for his call. I was surprised enough to my own reaction, 'Ye?'

He stared motionless for a moment before asking, 'We've...surely met before, haven't we?′

Met before...?

I was afraid of this...

Yes, we did. Twice. But for you to know, we did once. Once.

I asked, 'You mean, the fansign?' He was put at a stop for a mere second, probably because this answer wasn't the one he had expected. Then, he regained himself, 'Yes, I mean...'

'Yes, I was, with my friend Liza, if you remember that too.' 'Uhh...so...you are like our fangirl huh? That's pretty cool.' his lips curled up at one side smugly. I wasn't going to let him assume things on his own, so I spoke, 'Please don't take me as a casual crazy fangirl of you boys. I am here to work as the manager associate, so seeing me as a fangirl from immature category would not be fair, in my opinion, Jimin ssi.'

'Hmph, I know I know. By the way, I needed to ask, did you accidentally drop anything over there, I mean in the fansign?' 'Huh? Umm...' I paused for a moment due to the sudden question. That bracelet of mine...

'Why do you ask? Did you find anything?' '...Uh, nah-nothing.' He looked away in another direction as if trying to avoid what he raised to talk on himself. For one second, I was getting delighted that maybe he had found it, but all the expectations went down at once. I shrugged a bit and turned front. The rest moment inside, it was all silent.

When the elevator reached the ground floor, I stepped out and waved back at him, 'Annyeong Jimin ssi. See you later tomorrow. Take rest and remain well.' With that said, I exited the building with traces of long steps, leaving his figure behind as quickly as possible.

It was time to go home!

I searched for my bike around while the cold night breeze bashed against me in glee. Securing the helmet over my head, I keyed on the engine and positioned myself on the bike ready to hit the street. The first day here was not incredibly fruitful, but I was able to find one thing at least to report about to the base. There was Momo waiting for me now to get a call. I must hurry.

The engine made a loud roar, however, immediately going back to sleep afterward. I twirled the throttle again, having no effect. I was appalled, and confused. Checking if anything was stuck on the exhaust, I kept on throttling but the more I tried, the more the engine seemed to get stubborn, not willing to wake up at all.

Crap.

Giving seemingly hours of efforts, I finally hopped off in surrender and furiously kicked its wheel.

'The engine has jammed. It seems like it didn't get used in a while.' 'Er..yeah...' I smiled awkwardly. Eyes of a mechanic though.

'It will take some time to get repaired. Come back after a week and it will get done, ma'am.' 'A week?!' I exclaimed. 'Can't you get it repaired now?' 'No ma'am. I am sorry. It will take some time.'

'Fine. I guess I can wait until then. Thank you very much.' With a grave and annoyed mind, I exited the shop. It was apparently late, the night was passing away in full motion not willing to let the time wait for anyone, so as it never does. There was barely any car on the street. The ones that were present were in the speed of lightning, taking a chance to spread their wings on the empty street. I was already perturbed, seeing their high speed let the expletives themselves pour out of my mouth, then I gave a jolt to myself. Not that it was gonna come to work anyway...

The bus stop on the other side of the road was standing as the only glow of hope in my so far eye distance to reach home safe. I took a step forward to cross the road. The moment, a grey sedan screeched to stop just beside me, making me flinch and step back on the concrete path. The smooth metallic surface shone under pale street lamp light, the glasses rolled down, letting the light travel in to reveal the driver's face.

I was beyond surprised.

It was him, again.

Park Jimin.

Silver hair swung in the air as he turned his face to my side, observing me with his lips curled up a bit.
