"Man, that felt so real," Alaric muttered, rubbing his eyes.
He then turned his gaze to the other side of the bed where Raven was still sleeping on his stomach. Alaric couldn't help but notice how peaceful and innocent Raven looked as he slept.
"Raven," he whispered softly.
Seeing Raven's serene face brought him a sense of calm. The earlier tension and emotions began to dissipate. He sat there for a moment, absorbing the scene and admiring the beauty before him.
"How did we end up here?" he wondered aloud, trying to make sense of it all.
The room felt warm and intimate. Alaric lay down on his side next to Raven, propping his head up with his right hand while gently reaching out with his left to touch Raven's hair. His expression softened, feeling a sense of calm after everything.
"Get some rest, Raven. You need it," Alaric whispered, even though he knew Raven couldn't hear him.
