chapter 1- The calm before the storm

Colette Nash was undeniably beautiful but don't be fooled by her appearance, for she was just as intelligent. Collete was strictly educated since a young age, despite the lack of educated women in her time. Her parents viscount and viscountess Nash were unable to bear anymore children due to Collete's mother being gravely ill and constantly bed ridden, as a result Collette was raised as the one and only heir to the viscount. You may think that Collette being an only child made her spoilt and coddled but it was quite the opposite actually. Collette grew without love from her parents she matured faster than any other child her age. She is now 16 years old her hair black as the night sky that curls all the way down to her back, with emerald green eyes and fair skin. It was unquestionable that she was an eligible bachelorette, many attempted to propose to her, but viscount Nash rejected them all ruthlessly starting at them with cold icy blue eyes. Marriage for him had nothing to do with live it was a mere way to gain power and wealth.

Collette was eloquently studying in the study the room had two candlesticks which shone beautifuly giving the room a pleasant ambiance. viscount Nash slowly crept up on Collette and demanded " there is an urgent matter that needs to be taken care of in the south a carriage of ours had crashed and there were casualties".

"Alright father" replied Collette.
