The Leaf.

The day started off crisp and cold for the first day of school. The trees were red and gold mixed with green. The mountain air was crisp and Ruby had just walked Kyoto a beautiful black golden doodle with amber eyes. He was full of sass and ready to hunt rabbits.

"Ah!" She sighed as Kyoto pulled she tightened her grip falling into a horse stance. She wore her sky blue sneakers with white tips, skinny light blue jeans, a pink shirt, and light blue jean jacket. Ruby had got her back pack, her lucky jeans with her favorite character patched on- a silly white rabbit with its tongue sticking out on the bottom corner of her jeans. She lived in a cottage with briar roses that smelled really nice in the summer and a real stone chimney. The air was very clean. She always took a big deep breath when going outside to fill up on good chi.

She just turned 14 two weeks ago, Virgo and proud, laugh out loud. Ruby had got her hair cut in a large lion mane accidentally, puffy, it was suppose to be a page boy, but her hair was thick. Instead it was fluffy and it already had grown out. Her eyes were brown with flecks of gold. She had decided to walk to school instead of riding in the warmth but she was determined to start independent and be one of the cool kids on the bus even with a lion mane.

Ruby had kissed her mum and dad goodbye after having a large breakfast with pancakes, eggs, and bacon. She made sure she had her key gave them one last hug and off she ran with her friend Carmen who was waiting for her outside. Carmen lived next door and they walked to the bus stop together. Carmen was very into Country music while Ruby could say house music or techno.

Carmen had cut her hair into a page boy but it was more 1920 flapper with the close to scalp wave. Ruby's hair was too thick it didn't happen.

The added benefit was her crush would be there at the bus stop. Her crush... She decided not to worry about that and start the year with a clean slate. Lion mane and all, lucky sneakers, lucky jeans it would cancel out the hair Ruby thought. Rabbit back pack check. She was ready for adventure. The wind blew and leaves fell. Ruby reached out to catch a red leaf and everything went black.

She woke to a surprising light and pain. "What?" Ruby looked around to her horror she was wrapped in a cloth, hairless, wrinkly with a small fist she wailed. "How did I become a baby...? Where's Carmen, hold up did I die?" No one understood her after all it was baby garbles.

A man came up to her with a stone, a small red crystal that when her fist hit it, a blinding white light appeared. The man looked shaken and a woman beside him looked very pleased was she suppose to be my mum? What about my Mum and Dad? How can I get back or is this my new life? That doesn't sound like English. Oh boy how will adapt what do I do I'm a baby- "ahhhhhhh!"
