"Eee...!"

Chisato was clutching Shallot so tight he could barely breathe. He was flying to Tokyo, and it had been easy once he set his mind to it. His goal was to find that old man who'd given him Xenoverse 3 and beat the shit out of him. After that, well, there was a new world to explore with the cute girl in his arms.

"Don't be scared!" He yelled over the wind.

"I--I can't! I'm so sorry...!"

She ducked into his chest and he wrapped his arms around her mid back, sighing almost in bliss. Chisato was just too damn cute. He had prime time feeling her little breasts against him, and his pelvis was throbbing, remembering the times he'd kissed her in game, even doing 'that' with her.

Ahh, that's the past. Another life.

Still...

"It's okay! I don't mind you hugging me, ya know!" He grinned.

"..."

She looked up at him, probably to avoid the scary ground below rushing past in a blur. Through her dark hair fluttering around her face he saw she was staring mindlessly. Chisato was most likely wondering just what the hell was going on. He would be, for sure.

"...We'll be there in a few minutes," he said to her ear. She nodded.

Sorry Mr. Perfect. You had your chance, and I'm not wasting my life holding back just because you love her. She's all mine, now. I'll keep her happy and safe.

At least that was the goal.

But a loud 'BOOM' caught his eye. Something big was headed his way, and Shallot gripped Chisato and barely avoided it. He watched as the grenade hit a building and it exploded. "Fuck! They're launching grenades at us now? Seriously!"

It appeared that whoever was after them didn't care about innocent lives.

She's shivering. Damn, I really should have thought this through more and brought a blanket or something.

"Hic..."

"D-don't cry, Chisato! I'll protect you! It's the whole reason I'm alive!" He assured her.

"B-But...! You'll get hurt!"

Double damn. Now wasn't the time for a first kiss, but he couldn't resist. Adrenaline had kicked his senses into high gear and he lifted her face, slowly kissing her.

She made a noise but didn't push him away, and his tail escaped and wrapped around her back, tugging her close. From the corner of her eyes she saw it and leaned away, staring at it in the dark of a winter night sky.

"Sorry! Couldn't help myself!" He shouted.

"I-Is that a tail?"

"Yep! Like I said, I'm a saiyan! Hang on, I'm gonna land!"

He hit the pavement of Tokyo with a thud. People scattered, and he could sense their life energy moving away from it. It was small. But there was one that stuck out to him. It had to be that guys, that man who gave them the game to begin with. All he needed to do was get there and smash his face in, thus preventing him from ever tricking people again.

Shallot ran with Chisato in his arms to that lone energy. It brought him to the gaming tower in the middle of Tokyo, and he held his hand out, trying to focus on raising his Ki.

"Eh-? Eh! Shallot! Your...hair!"

Too high. He was turning into a super saiyan. So be it, then.

Shallot blasted towards the gaming tower where he felt that energy and it crashed into the building. A large 'BOOM' reverberated. Shallot smirked as he felt the energy fading. A direct hit.

"C'mon, noodles. Let's go make sure that guy is dead."

"D-Dead? N-No! Don't hurt people!"

"...This guy isn't 'people'. He killed us both, Chisato. I'm just protecting you, and everyone in this world." He said, running to the tower.

Through the dust Shallot walked, following the sense of energy. It led him right to 'Master Roshi' who lay on his back, bleeding. The old man staggered to set up but did, albeit spitting blood.

"You...kililng the wrong man," Roshi said.

"Tch! You can't fool me. I know it was you who gave us that game!" Shallot set down Chisato and grabbed him by his Hawaiian shirt. "Now tell me where the rest are!"

"Cough! Cough! N-Never!"

In his anger Shallot punched him and knocked him out. "...Bastard. He's willing to die for their little cause. Makes me sick!"

Chisato grabbed his arm. "Stop! Please! He's just an old man!"

"...He's not, but he'll die from his injuries anyway. Looks like that's all I can do for now."

He needed a plan. If Trunks were there he'd tell him what to do, but Trunks had appointed him Leader of the Time Patrol. It was up to Shallot now. He leaned and shuffled through the guys pockets, finding his wallet. Within it was an ID, a passport, and money. He took them all.

"Lets go, Chisato. We need to rest up for tomorrow."

"I..I have to go home. If I don't, father will..."

Shallot grabbed her arm. "No. You're staying with me. If you go back there, you'll only get hurt or worse. I'm the only thing keeping you safe here."

"B-But--I I can't go with you...ano...w-we just met...." Her face ducked away shyly.

"Actually we didn't. I'll explain later."

He drug her tiny body away from the scene of the crime, hearing the sirens and ambulance blazing. People were gawking and taking pictures.

Shallot found a hotel. He stored away his tail again and went to the register, giving the woman the ID he'd taken. "Need a room," he said to her.

"Right away! Mr. Ren, your suite is ready. Just as you requested."

My suite? Shallot frowned. Roshi had been there, and recently. He took the keycard and Chisato reluctantly followed. They used the elevator to get to the top floor, seeing that the suite took up half of the building. "Damn. That guy must have been loaded." Shallot said, stepping inside.

Chisato didn't follow.

He turned to see she was crying. "Oi. Come on. You're probably freezing and cold. We can talk later."

Still she hung back and he ended up pulling her out of the elevator and to the bedroom. It was large and spacious, with a California sized futon bed and a long row of windows. There was a wide flat screen TV, modern furniture and decorations, and a bathroom that could fit an entire swim team.

"Go bath." He said. "I'll stand guard. Don't worry, I might be a pervert but I won't peek."

"...." Her face became red, very red.

"Chisato...go on, alright?" He said more gently. "I promise we'll talk more later."

"...Y-Yes..."

She left to the bathroom. He took the time to close the blinds and darken the room, just in case they were being hunted still, and began ruffling through the dressers and drawers in search of any clue that would help him find the others. He wasn't a genius, it was true, but that much was logical to do.

He came up empty handed.

"Noodles, you about done?"

"Y-yes! I'm sorry...I had trouble figuring out how to use this bath tub."

Cute. Probably had trouble because it was fancy and full of settings, not like one she'd ever used before.

Shallot imagined her nude in there and smacked his pelvis. "Don't! Not now!"

"Eh? You say something?"

"Just uh, talking to myself."

She came out in a fluffy towel. Her slim legs dripped with water, dark hair ruffled and unkempt but clean and shiny, and her cheeks were rosy. "...Ano...I don't have anything clean to wear."

He stood and stared. Then turned away sharply. "L-Look in the drawers. There were some clothes."

"Y-Yes!"

She found something to wear finally. It was a long shirt, and it came over her thighs. She had on long white socks and her hands were hidden beneath the large top. Shallot could see her tiny nipples poking out.

So perky...

"Ahem...looking good, Chisato. Warmer now?"

"Yes...uhm, thank you." She bowed.

"I'm going to shower. Don't leave the room, and stay on the floor away from the windows." He instructed.

Shallot quickly showered, not wanting to bath in case she needed him, and threw on a towel around his waist. When he got out Chisato was lying on the floor and staring blankly at the ceiling. She looked over, saw him, and squeaked.

"You can look. I don't care," he said.

He dropped the towel and rummaged for boxers and sweats, putting them on in a hurry. He was so bold only because he knew how good he looked.

Shallot was dressed again and walked over to her. "Now...where to begin. Oh, we should eat."

At first she didn't want to but he kept pestering until the girl agreed to a meal. He ordered four plates, one for her and three for him. A saiyan had to eat. The waitress came up and he swung the door open. She saw his nude, hard abs and practically melted. "Oh! Here you go, sir..." she said, looking at him hungrily.

"Thanks." He smirked and rolled the tray in and slammed the door in her face.

"Now. Let's talk."

He told her what he could and even admitted, "...I'm Shironui Yuusuke. Remember me?"

"Eh? You are?"

"Yeah. We both died, Chisato. And ended up in that game together."

He further explained about the game and only left out one key thing: her love for Trunks Briefs. He instead emphasized himself, not wanting her to wonder about that genius character. It was his time to shine, dammit.

She seemed to believe him. I mean, after flying and blasting a building, and saving her in the nick of time, how could she not?

Finally he was done and she grew quiet in reflection. He ate at his food, all three plates, and still felt hungry, but ignored the pangs. Chisato had a little. "Hey, eat up." He said. "You're too tiny."

"I...I am...sorry..." she obeyed and ate.

"Oi..I didn't mean it as a bad thing. I like tiny."

Her gaze went to his tail that didn't fit in the sweatpants, hanging out. He said, "You can touch it."

"I-I couldn't..!"

"Nah, really. It's super soft."

He took her hand and put it on his tail, and she slowly rubbed it. A tingle went up his spine that he liked, and his neck got hot.

So that's how it felt. When I touched hers.

Shallot moved closer and they sat together, not on the bed, but just on the side on the floor. "...We...kinda dated."

"Eh?"

"Yeah." He smirked and leaned, "....You really liked me playing with your tail. Especially..."

He leaned to kiss her and she put her drink between them. "S-So thirsty." She said, slurping the straw. Shallot sighed.

They both let out a yawn, and looked at one another, smiling. It seemed the long night had taken its toll. "Sleep, Chisato. I'll just stay up and guard." Shallot said. Chisato nodded and climbed into bed, and he waited until hearing her snores before creaking on the side of it, staring off at the wall.

Before he knew what had happened his own eyes shut and he slumped over, asleep.

"...ther!"

Trunks heard a muffled voice, as if talking to him. He couldn't open his eyes but tried anyway.

"Was I too late? No..this is the correct time."

Something warm touched his back. His strength returned, revitalized like new. Trunks could open his eyes, and saw a boy standing there. He looked to be fourteen. Long dark hair, straight at the ends, tied back low like a samurai, and spiked forward bangs. The boy leaned away and smiled in relief. "...Phew. I made it. Would suck for my first mission to end so crappy."

What...? Who...?

Trunks had a million questions but the boy looked up and away, as if seeing something he couldn't. "I'm running out of time. Here, get these."

The boy threw down a capsule and a notebook, as well as a save game watch.

Trunks sat up and looked from the things to the boy. "...You..saved me. Who..?"

"Hn. If you can't GUESS who I am, you're a total loser."

What?!

Trunks grit his teeth. This kid had a bad, bad attitude. Still...he looked familiar. Dark hair, bright blue eyes, and rusty colored skin. He had on a long vest that went to his thighs, black, and a short sleeve shirt, white. Instead of pants he wore shorts, also black with two thin stripes of red on the sides. Large, oversized sneakers the same shade of blue as his eyes. He even had a lip ring. A black tail and a thin sword at his back sealed the deal.

"...You...couldn't be...?" Trunks gaped.

"Well? C'mon, old man. Surely you can figure that out. You're a genius just like me." He smirked.

"...You're my son, aren't you."

The boy nodded. Gave him a thumbs up. "Sure took you long enough, dad. Ah, anyway. Those things I just gave you are gonna help you out a ton. You can thank me later by not dying anymore."

"What's your name?"

"It's Tie. Don't go changing it or I'll be super pissed."

Tie looked down at his watch, touched a button, and a light reflected. A hologram. Trunks could see Chisato tied to a chair in a dark warehouse. Her T-shirt had been ripped partially, and around the girl stood hungry looking business men. His girlfriends face was swollen, like she'd been smacked, one eyelid red and purple, as well as a bruised mouth.

Trunks swallowed. His energy was beginning to skyrocket, until the tips of his hair curled and flooded with red. Tie frowned over at him, "As you can see....mom is in trouble. You've got to get there before they kill her. Uncle Shallot is being kept back by Fu, and won't make it there in time. Because Shallot didn't know Fu would arrive, he feel into the trap laid by Roshi. He didn't think twice about eating drugged food. They'll both eventually die and end up here only you won't remember either one of them. Do you get my drift?"

"...Yeah. I have one shot to stop them now, or the game resets, and I'm back where I started from. I take it this isn't the first time it's happened."

"You got it. That notebook I gave you is the accumulation of every attempt you did until beating them. Use it now, and protect the real world from ever crossing paths with ours. Make sure to save right after rescuing mom and bringing her back here."

"I...have to bring her back? Here?" Trunks was shocked.

Tie sighed. "Yeah, dad, it's the only way to keep them from killing her IRL! Trust me...you've died a lot." His son pointed to the capsule, "That time machine is the only bridge without using the Dragon Balls. It took you two years in the HTC to create, and that's how peace was restored. I added a few new things to it, by the way. Don't worry, it won't cause a rift, but..." the boy paused as if feeling emotion before adding, "...but I'm telling you to keep mom safe."

It sounded more like a threat than instructions. Trunks frowned, wondering why his son would say such things. The boys voice dropped a few pegs and he glared. "If you don't, I'll end you myself."

To Trunks he was both impressed and confused, but nonetheless nodded. "I will."

Tie smirked and held out his hand. Not understanding at first, Trunks didn't raise his fist, and the boy scowled. "Fist bump!"

"R-Right."

*bump*

Tie waved and jumped up, vanishing into a hologram leading to the real world.

Trunks popped up the capsule. It was a time machine. Larger then ever before, and had definite upgrades, such as what appeared to be a Dragon Radar built in. Apparently, his future son thought he needed it now. Next he opened the notebook, seeing it filled with notes. He flipped through a few pages.

His face, ears, and neck grew red. "..."

I'll uh, just read that later, then.

Chisato opened her eyes groggily. It was like her entire head was spinning, and she blearily looked around, seeing only darkness and shadows of long cabinets. A ceiling fan above was making a grating noise.

"Unn..."

She wanted to throw up.

Where was she?

My--my hands!

They were bound. Chisato was tied to a chair.

"She's awake." A female voice said.

The girl looked around, not seeing at first, but the voice revealed themselves. Chisato sat rooted to the chair but began trembling. "E-Eh...?"

"Yes. It's me, lovely."

Matsuri-sensei! It was her guidance counselor, the half American who always had meetings with Chisato, asking about her health and problems at home.

"W-what are you doing here? Why...am I here?" Chisato asked.

And where was Shallot?!

Matsuri flicked red hair from her shoulder. "Hmm. Let's see. I'll start with the beginning this time. After you moved to Ofuku, I couldn't help but notice how dispirited you were. I pitied you, girl. Then I had the opportunity to begin research with some very interesting people. They were working on a game. A...game filled with death, which would bring life to kids who had nothing going for them. I was tasked with gathering the perfect girl to fit the role. Someone...frail. Someone nobody would miss, who wanted to die. Someone...just like...you! Ha ha!"

Chisatos eyes filled with tears.

"After I selected you, we followed you around, and threatened your father with eviction. We knew it would rile him up and cause him to take that anger out of his precious daughter, who looked too much like her mother. You see...from the time you came here, until now...your life has been in my hands."

The girl began sobbing. "W-Why?"

"Why? Oh, honey, it's simple, really! We needed a vessel who came willingly. Only, now that Trunks interfered with the plan---well, when my boys are through with you, you'll be wishing for death."

Matsuri chuckled and flicked her thumb. "Boys. I'm done chatting. Have your fun, but be sure not to leave any evidence."

The girl in the chair took deep breaths. In, out, in out--

--She heaved her weight forward but only tilted the chair. Again she tried and the chair fell over.

I have to escape! Shallot, where are you?!

"No!" Chisato screamed.

Her chair was hiked upwards. She was staring an old man in the face. Fifties. He was overweight and had eight o clock shadow, and smirked. "She's tiny. Damn, can't wait."

"N-No! S-Stay away!"

Chisato kicked his shin. It only angered the man, who slapped her face and grabbed her chin, forcing his nasty tongue inside her mouth. She bit it, and he retaliated by yanking her hair back and punching her face. "Bitch!"

Ah--it hurts--!

"Kya! N-No!"

Her strength turned to helpless sobs.

She heard the shuffling of many footsteps, and looked, seeing more men of varying age and size, all wearing business suits. They looked hungry..

At that second a loud crash reverberated from the ceiling. In slow motion the girl watched scaffolding, tin, and concrete fall around her person. She sharply inhaled dust, as a shadow with a glowing red aura jumped in and landed just in front of her into a one legged squat. It was blurry, but she glimpsed something shining and metallic on his back move quickly, too quickly to see.

In a loud growl tinged with danger she heard, "All of you will die for hurting her!"

The men took two steps backward in shock but couldn't react in time. With a 'urahh' shout, his sword arced across the room, vibrating the walls. Chisato was mesmerized by the perfect, flawless movements, seeing the business freeze. Then a great gush of blood burst from their guts as their bodies slid sideways, even more spurting up from their middle. The cabinets had taken damage as well, sliding at a tilted angle and crashing to the floor with a loud clattering noise. The wind from his one slice blew her hair into her eyes, but she squinted through her good one, seeing that red aura fading.

Whomever had saved her was most impressive. His hair, tied in a low ponytail, changed from crimson to a light shade strand by strand. The red hue around his person faded like heat rising from a car. Slowly he stood and sheathed his large blade, growling like some kind of animal.

Chisato could only tremble.

The shadow looked over his shoulder, light bouncing from his sharp pale cheekbones. "...I told you I'd find you."

His voice was raspy and gave the girl goosebumps. Quickly he looked up as if seeing some unknown danger. "Fu is coming."

What cryptic words she'd heard. The man pulled something from his thigh grazing black trench coat, which was wet with snow and shining, and held an oblong shaped pill between his dark gloved thumb and index finger.

"..." She could only stare at in wonder. What was he trying to give her? Some strange drug?

"...It's not a drug. Forgive me for being a little late, Chisato."

I hadn't spoken out loud. How had he heard my thoughts like that?

"It's a long story." He growled. "Take this."

"....I--I don't know w-who you are, but..."

"Chisato! Now isn't the time to be scared!"

The girl cowered her head. Whether it was time or not, she was indeed scared, in fact, petrified. This man was even more intimidating than Shallot, and his voice sounded like he were some sort of King or other important figure.

When she didn't look up he sighed and leaned to her face. "Then I'll have to give it to you. Sorry, about this.."

"Mmnp!"

His lips were icy cold, but soft, but the force behind his touch was startling. Her lips opened to whimper and a warm tongue slid in. She pulled away, "--N-No!"

The man growled, cupped the nape of her neck and forced her lips apart. She inhaled through her nose in fear and he took that chance to transfer salty pieces of the strange drug into her throat. He let go. "Swallow it."

"N-No! S-Stay away!"

"Chisato....I 'said' swallow it!"

She gulped it down. "...I-It's done.. T-There!!"
