Today's Lesson: Acts 2:22-47

* Peter Preaches to the Crowd

1. What did Peter said about God and Jesus in verses 2:22-24?

Answer: "so you took him and had evil men put him to death on a cross. But God set him free from death and raised him to life. Death could not hold him in its power."

2. Peter said that David was a prophet, what did David prophesied about Jesus that was fulfilled by His resurrection?

Answer; "the lord won't leave me in the grave, I am his holy One, and he won't let my body decay. He has shown me the path to life. And he makes me glad by being near me."

3. What did Peter said that pierced their heart and prompted the people to ask Peter what should they do?

Answer: Peter said repent & be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ that pierced their heart & prompted the people to ask Peter what should they do?

4. What did Peter said in response to their query?

Answer: "turn back to God! Be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. So that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will be given the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children. It is for everyone our Lord God will choose, no matter where they live"

5. How many believed and were added to the Church that day?

Answer: 3000 believed in his message

* The Believers Forms a Community

1. What did the believers devoted themselves to?

Answer they spent their time, learning, from the apostles, and they were like family to each other

2. How did they form their community of love and unity?

Answer: they meet together at the temple. They broke bread together in different homes and share their food happily and freely while praising God.
