Mo Xie and Yuhao followed Zhou Yi and soon arrived at her office.
She looked at both of them before speaking: "I don't like beating around the bush. Wang Dong's martial soul was very impressive, but I still don't know which one is yours. I want to know now." Although Zhou Yi had heard of Mo Xie, the information regarding his martial soul was not revealed, so her curiosity got the better of her.
Yuhao was the first to speak: " My martial soul is Spirit Eyes, a mental type martial soul."
Zhou Yi was overjoyed when he heard this. "A martial soul with a mental attribute?"
Yuhao nodded.
She frowned and asked, "Can you tell me what your first spiritual ability is?"
Yuhao nodded and called a pure white spirit ring and his pupils were covered by a small golden layer. He activated his ability and shared it with Zhou Yi.
Meanwhile, Mo Xie was looking curiously at that white ring. He activated his innate ability and began to observe the patterns of arrays in the ring. Sure enough, the patterns he saw looked more complicated than those on his 10,000-year-old spirit ring. Realizing the consumption of his spiritual power, he stopped his ability and turned his attention to Zhou Yi.
However, a worm in Yuhao's spiritual sea seemed to feel its gaze and its origin seemed to tremble for a moment, as if its secrets were being explored.
Zhou Yi turned his attention to Mo Xie and he also responded.
"My martial soul is called Mystic Eyes and is also a martial soul with a mental attribute."
Zhou Yi's eyes brightened even more and Yuhao looked at him in surprise.
Daydream spoke with a serious expression to Yuhao in his mind. "Yuhao, be careful with him. His martial soul seemed to have detected me when he looked at your spirit ring."
Yuhao was startled by his words and forced himself to calm down. "Brother Daydream, are you sure?" Yuhao asked mentally.
"I am sure. His martial soul is not as simple as it sounds. I even felt a terrible suppression in my soul just by looking at it." Daydream's expression was solemn.
"I will be careful, Brother Daydream." Yuhao stated.
"En."
During this conversation, Zhou Yi was still excited about Mo Xie. "Mo Xie, can you tell me what your first spiritual ability is?" Though he knew she shouldn't ask, Zhou Yi couldn't care less.
"Sorry, Professor Zhou. I prefer to keep my spiritual abilities a secret until I use them personally." Mo Xie respectfully declined. Zhou Yi thought it was a shame, but she didn't question him any further.
"Alright, you can go. Yuhao you stay and follow me somewhere." Zhou Yi spoke.
"Professor Zhou, may I ask a favor?" Mo Xie asked suddenly.
"Let's hear it first." Zhou Yi waved a hand for him to continue.
"Would you be able to introduce me to someone from the academy's Spirit Tools Department who can teach me how to make spirit tools?" That was one of the reasons Mo Xie had come to Shrek Academy. If he could get into the Spirit Tools Department, he could look at how Spirit Tools were made and compare them to creating artifacts in his memory. Mo Xie would also be able to be supported by the academy's wealth to create his own Spirit Tools and would not have to worry about lack of resources and metals.
Zhou Yi frowned and asked seriously, "Do you want to learn how to create Spirit Tools?"
Mo Xie nodded in acknowledgment.
"Why? I believe it would be more suitable for you to stay in the martial soul department." Zhou Yi asked again.
Mo Xie replied calmly. "Although the Spiritual Masters that the academy promotes are extremely powerful, I believe there will come a time when Spirit Tools will make a big difference during a fight. So I would like to learn about them and create my own Spirit Tools for myself."
Zhou Yi thought for a while and nodded as if appreciating his answer. "Follow me along with Yuhao. Originally I was taking Yuhao to the Spirit Tools Department, so I'll take you along and introduce you guys to someone."
"Thank you teacher Zhou." Mo Xie bowed in thanks.
Zhou Yi turned and led the two to another building. They went through some corridors and entered a testing room where there were some people. Yuhao looked at everything along the way and was surprised by each outfit, while Mo Xie just stared without any surprise. In his previous life, he came into contact with equipment of the same type. The only difference is that they didn't use spiritual power like the ones in this world.
"Fan Yu." Zhou Yi called a name. Then a middle-aged man came out of the crowd and approached. He was six feet tall and his shoulders were broad and robust.
"Zhou Yi, why did you come?" Fan Yu asked.
Zhou Yi, who was dominant in the class, was nowhere to be seen. "It's on the subject of spiritual masters with mental attribute using Spirit Tools."
Fan Yu looked at Mo Xie and Yuhao before asking, "Do they have a martial soul with a mental attribute?"
"Yes, they both have a body martial soul related to their eyes. They're called Mo Xie and Huo Yuhao, and they're both freshmen." Zhou Yi explained.
After looking at Mo Xie and Yuhao, he commented, "Mo Xie is okay, he has already met the necessary requirements, but Yuhao has a very weak body and spiritual power. He won't even be able to use the weaker Spirit Tools."
"Do you doubt my vision? Yuhao, show him your spiritual ability." Zhou Yi grunted.
A moment later, Fan Yu was surprised by Yuhao's spiritual ability and called He Caitou, a bald young man who was with other people. He was over 6 feet tall and his skin was a copper color. He had Yuhao follow him before turning his attention to Mo Xie.
"Tell me about your martial soul." Fan Yu spoke.
"Is it necessary for me to talk about my martial soul?" Mo Xie asked carefully.
"If you want to learn about Spirit Tools here, then you better explain about your martial soul." Fan Yu commented expressionlessly.
Mo Xie just sighed and called out to his martial soul, but didn't let his spirit rings out. As soon as his martial soul appeared, the purple color in his eyes glowed more intensely and purple patterns appeared under his eyes.
"My martial soul is called Mystic Eyes. As long as I have a suitable spirit ring, it can attack and improve my attacks through buffs as well as control my opponents with certain abilities." Mo Xie didn't tell the whole truth, but he did reveal some uses of his eyes.
Fan Yu was excited when he heard Mo Xie, but he didn't show it on his face. "Why do you want to learn how to create Spirit Tools?"
Mo Xie explained what he said to Zhou Yi and he nodded.
"Alright, starting tomorrow you will come to the Spirit Tools department for four hours after your classes in the martial soul department."
"Do you have any experience with Spirit Tools?" Fan Yu asked.
"No, but I'm almost at Master Blacksmith level." Mo Xie replied.
"What! Tell me about it." Fan Yu was extremely surprised by this.
Mo Xie explained that he worked as a blacksmith when he was younger to earn money and talked about a fake teacher who taught him some techniques before he died. After explaining for a while, Fan Yu nodded in appreciation and spoke once more.
"Mo Xie, I would like to accept you as my apprentice, what is your opinion on this?"
Of course, Mo Xie would not refuse such an opportunity. With his status as an apprentice of the next dean of the Spirit Tools Department, he would have a lot more freedom here. Then, in keeping with custom, he bowed and greeted Fan Yu once more.
"The disciple greets the teacher."
"Good, as of today you are my second disciple, so you don't have to worry about anything else. But in addition to studying here, you must not neglect training your Martial Soul, do you understand?" Fan Yu spoke.
"The disciple understands." Mo Xie talked to Fan Yu for a while longer until Yuhao appeared with He Caitou.
Fan Yu introduced He Caitou to his new younger brother, Mo Xie, and chatted with Yuhao for a while before talking that he could come back when he increased the range of his spiritual detection.
Mo Xie and Yuhao left the building together and split up.
Mo Xie walked towards the cafeteria and ate a simple lunch before waiting for the afternoon class to start.
"Sigh, the day just doesn't end…" Mo Xie muttered to himself. When he was training alone, time seemed to fly, but now he seemed to pass at snail speed.
