Chapter 2: Stop Presuming I'm a Hero

The two Adventurers were on their journey to Lakewood where the hydra attacks have been happening but they still had to go on a 5-hour train ride.

This train was purely powered by a special material called magi coal, Magi coal can only be discovered in caves where magic is everywhere in the cave.

However, with such a high Magic potential, monsters would want to use this magic potential to become stronger but adventurers are out of their leagues and will always be defeated by them.

Back to the story.

Kaito saw that Lotus was asleep and saw her calm face but sadly the face did not manage to show any emotions in his face and he thought of the word stats and a stats menu appeared in front of him.

STRENGTH:500

SPEED:200

AGILITY:200

MANA:4950

Kaito saw his mana stats were not equal yet, so he upgraded the mana stats by 50 points making the mana stats 5000 and you may wonder why is his stats so high.

Well, his stats were all 100 at first making him quite strong at first but after a few months, he got stronger and got quite the haul of special materials.

Kaito closed the menu and thought of inventory and saw his inventory menu pop up and he saw many items in his inventory including a weapon forged in the depths of hell called the hell breaker.

An Axe that had the ability to send those that he has killed to hell regardless of what the person did and had the ability to control a high council demon.

FACT TIME

High Council demons are the second strongest demons in hell and are able to have the ability of every class but more demonic and much more destructive.

One such skill is Inferno Blast, a skill that blasts a blazing fire at his or her opponent but if a high council demon uses the skill, the skill has a high percentage chance of staying on the opponent's body forever.

The blast will use black fire a forbidden fire that "Only Demons" can use but the drawback is that they will need to consume more souls to become stronger.

FACT TIME OVER.

Kaito saw a blade in his inventory and upgraded it till it's the highest level and took it out of his inventory and realised they had reached the station.

Kaito saw Lotus was still asleep and picked her up bridal style out of the train and bought her to a hotel but the issue was that he got stares as he was carrying one of the most famous Heroes in all of the realms.

"Hey, kid, mind giving her to us, we wanna see how much we can tarnish this hero reputation" A weird skinny mohawk looking guy said with a gang behind him.

Kaito didn't want to do anything hard and took his hell breaker out and sliced all of them with the Axe and all of them died being sent to hell and he kept the axe and continued to a hotel.

He found a hotel called Reagent which was a weird name for a hotel in Lakewood but he didn't care and paid for the last room which was a suite.

He didn't care about the money as he had plenty to spare and he didn't want to find another hotel while carrying lotus and feeling her butt on his hand anymore.

He got to the room and saw a single bed and realised that he didn't prepare for this scenario but of course he didn't care and he laid lotus on the bed and tucked her in.

He saw that it had already become night and laid in bed with lotus and switched off the light with his levitation skill and he closed his eyes to go to bed.

He woke up in the middle of the night to find out he was being held by Lotus like a bolster and he was about to escape her grasp until he heard her mumble.

"Onēsan, Dont go, "Lotus said which caused Kaito to stop and stay in her grasp and just ignored it and went to sleep in her grasp thinking that something terrible happened when she was young.

MORNING

Lotus woke up to see that half of the bed was clean while the other half was still messy as she just woke up and she looked around for Kaito and saw that he was making something.

Lotus saw Kaito holding two bowls and gave one to lotus and kept one to himself and Lotus saw that it was noodles but...

The Noodles looked ordinary and had no toppings but the smell managed to win her over and she took a fork and got a spoonful of the noodles and ate it and her eyes suddenly opened and ate all the noodles.

Kaito looked to lotus and told her to chew at least and Lotus apologised and saw that she had finished the noodles and saw the soup and she perked up.

She drank the soup within seconds as she loved the taste and when she finished, she looked to Kaito with her puppy dog eyes but she already had the bowl in her hands.

" After you finish it, we will go to the town hall," Kaito said while patting her head and she smiled happily agreeing and eating her noodles

"Thank you, Kaito, My Hero," Lotus said which made Kaito stop in his tracks and turn his head towards her.

"I said stop presuming I'm a hero," Kaito said while leaving her alone in the bedroom and lying on the couch in the hall.

The two adventures got ready and set off to town hall only to find out it was attacked by the hydra but nobody was injured but the girl was missing.

He weird thing is that the town just realised that the girls were missing and Kaito and Lotus reached a conclusion that the hydra manipulates a person mind depending on how manipulative they are.

"Do you know where this hydra lives?" Kaito asked with lotus looking around for any clues or hints

"I don't know anything but this hydra leaves behind a note every time," The Mayor told and gave him all the notes but it confused Kaito

Kaito was trying to think why would a hydra leave notes and how is it able to make these notes as monsters like this usually until Lotus shrieked making Kaito think of the scenarios she is in.
