''Haha you bastard, you are definitely going to die this time!'' Marcus shouted angrily, his body slowly turning into dust.

The large creature let out a shocking roar. Its arm raised to the sky as it slapped out aggressively.

The ground shook, this creature was definitely a powerhouse above Rank 5!

Samuel quickly ordered the Dogs of War to retreat with the three girls.

Some of the Dogs of War that tried to escape were directly turnt to dust before the palm even hit the ground.

Samuel looked at the large palm heading towards the ground and was terrified.

Although he was immortal as long as Dogs of War are alive, this palm would definitely destroy the entire city.

With desperation on his face, Samuel began to use the Horned Charge Skill along with EG1 aiming towards the falling palm.

The palm fell and countless buildings in the surroundings crumbled into dust. The earthquake spread out killing countless mortals.

At the same time the thousand Dogs of War in the courtyard area immediately fired arrows and attacks towards the giant palm, stopping it as best as possible.

Obviously it didn't work. The Rank 1 Warriors couldn't withstand the pressure, with some Dogs of War even exploding directly.

Samuel hurriedly pulled out the Frozen shield and injected as much aura as possible, but the instant it reached the air it evaporated under the pressure of the palm.

Just as everything was hopeless, a deafening voice rang out from within the City Lord's mansion.

Everyone across the city looked up collectively. A crooked ancient man appeared floating gently in the air.

But with his appearance, a shocking aura spread throughout the city. All the mortals who were earlier pressed down suddenly felt the pressure be relieved.

But the shadow seemed to be angered. Its palm rapidly fell.

Just as it was about to crash into the first towering skyscraper, the small wooden walking stick in the old man's hands swung out.

With the swing a air bending cut flew out. The previously domineering palm was shattered instantly.

But the blade didn't stop there, the figure roared violently and punched it's other hand towards the floating cut.

To the old man's surprise his cut was actually stopped!

This shadow's strength had far exceeded his expectations, but the man wasn't worried.

No matter how powerful the creature in front of him once was, he is nothing but a shadow now.

The Old man's keen senses could tell that the shadow was running off of some supply of energy, once it ran out the shadow would crumble.

With a calm face the man's stick floated in front of him in the air, this time he was going to take it seriously.

The stick floated and spun repeatedly in circles. A faint light spat out of the tip of the walking stick, causing a flood of runes to appear in the air.

With a tap of the stick a blaring light appeared. The runes condensed into a large orb. The old man simply placed his hand against the orb, what followed was a shocking stream of light bursting through the air.

Samuel had only ever seen something like this when the death star fired in a Star Wars movie!

But the old man wouldn't have been able to activate such an attack if the shadow seemed to have no intelligence.

The light poured towards the giant shadow, however it wasn't so easy to be defeated.

It's previously shattered hand condensed into a carved shield in front of the shadows body.

With a heaven-defying shake, the pillar of light burst out and scattered across the city.

Dozens of buildings where directly evaporated under the power, Samuel even saw an unlucky Warrior Compound be completely disintegrated!

Now it was the shadows turn, it's furry ears shook as it faced towards the floating old man.

It pointed out a finger, and spiritual energy condensed around it. Suddenly a giant finger condensed from spiritual energy pushed forward towards the Old man.

It was like an elephant next to an ant, he looked as if he could be blown away in seconds.

The next second the Old man reached his hand out and tapped gently in the air. Spiritual energy converged from all directions and formed a giant shield in front of the attack.

Shockwaves spread out from the impact, even more mortals suffered. The large city walls even started to crumble.

Such an intense battle wasn't what this city was designed for. The most it has seen is Rank 3 warriors competing, Rank 5 warriors fighting is unimaginable for them.

Samuel took every chance possible to watch the moves, watching this battle seemed to open a gate for him.

He felt the puddle of Spiritual Energy inside his body, which had at least tripled in size from when he first broke through, rapidly growing in size. From a large puddle, it quickly grew to a pond!

Small watersprouts appeared on top of the previously peaceful spiritual pond. The water got sucked straight up and spread throughout Samuels body.

His body was strengthened and reinforced rapidly, a thin layer of skin peeled off and bright red skin regrew.

The surrounding dogs of war realised that their master was breaking through, and they quickly surrounded Samuel in the centre.

However no one had time to pay attention to Samuel, everyone was watching the fight as much as possible.

You could see that some of the surviving warriors were sitting down breaking through quickly. Such a battle was incredibly beneficial for warriors.

It allowed them to see how a strong warrior moves the Spiritual Energy around their body. After they copy it, it can potentially help them breakthrough.

It even lets them bypass the limitations of their Spiritual Root.

The dogs of war massively benefitted from that. At least 13 Dogs of War broke through to High Rank 1.
