THE HAUNTING TRUTH-I

An old folktale that was just a bedtime story to many children who love the taste of murder-mystery or fear. In other ways, the best remedy is to put their children off to sleep. But, not every folktale is true but what if it becomes a reality? This could erase the existence of science. Everything disappears to dust and there's no way that you can retrieve the real facts because it's too late. This story is not about quantum reality but a folktale which was said to be just a bedtime story turns out to be a reality in this small town known as Brightbury located in the countryside to the east of London, blessed with magnificent waterfalls and nature is always grateful to the people of Brightbury. But, even though it's blessed with the beauty of nature, the town shares a dark history that was buried by the government to tackle the financial crisis. Everyone knows the truth but no one can reveal it to any tourist. Not every story has a happy ending or sad ending, but everything is just a mystery. Well, this story will reveal the mysterious scenes which are highly depicted in the past. The whole town experiences the pain of suffocation as the truth is finally revealed to the world but the question is do the town suppress the truth or does the world aides them to safety? It's not easy to trust anyone in this story, but how the world works is different. The truth, the betrayal, the hope, the friendship, the trust, the loyalty, and everything is shattered due to some folktale. They say it haunts children but as an evolution of the world is possible, the evolution of monsters is possible. Things are not the same as it was but the question of the story is will they survive or perish?

Shattered Minds

He stood there, lurking in the shadows like the demons that haunt my mind. "You're worthless," he spat at me as his eyes roamed my bruised body in disgust, "No-one will ever love you." Even though the words hurt, I knew they were true. And that is what destroys me the most. "Repeat it after me, brat," he sneered as he came closer, holding a knife. I kept silent, frozen in fear of what's about to happen next. "I said say it, bitch!" his voice was now loud enough to shake the entire cell. But after I would not open my mouth, he brought the knife and plunged it into my leg. I cried out in pain but he did not stop. He took the knife right to my throat and began to press it in until - nothing. I screamed. I don't know when he began to join in with me. All I know is opening my teary eyes to see the same man lying beside me, barely breathing with his eyes completely blank and blood coming out of his mouth. I didn't stop shaking, even after they rushed in to save the man I had somehow nearly killed. The tears fell almost as easily as I thew the man against the wall without lifting a finger. Now, I was alone, broken, beaten and starved. Yet somehow, the silence provided some comfort while I shivered in the cold. "I'm worthless," I whisper in the dark as sleep comes to relieve the pain only for a few hours. I had hoped to never wake up again but I learned long ago that there was no point in hoping. I'm cursed, after all. ▫◼▫◼▫◼▫◼▫◼▫ Amala was a monster - or so they said when they threw her away like she nothing. It was written into skin that she did not deserve kindness or hope. She didn't deserve to live; she didn't deserve to die. And she believed them. Until he found her. He called her ‘mine’, picked up her broken pieces and loved her when no-one else would.
