TELL ME A STORY
I've never been the one to believe in the word 'love', but like any novel lover out there, I dreamt of a love so fierce and earth shattering that it felt like a dream.
They say love is giving someone the power to totally destroy you and trusting them not to. That love is a risk, but I on the other hand, I believe that when the person is 'the one', it doesn't feel like you're talking a risk, it feels normal, like you're doing the right thing.
I've always liked the idea of love as a game. I knew I was self confident when I needed to be so I enjoyed flirting. I always thought I could never have "boy problem", that I had bigger issue than worrying if a certain boy liked me or nonsense like that, but with him it was never intentional. Then again that's what love does, it takes you by surprise.
That was why when he placed his head gently on my lap, at what seemed like the end of our lives and said, "tell me a story..."
I told him about a girl, who had a prince that was never meant to be hers.
I told him about a boy who never wanted a princess but he got one anyway.
I told him about the love I never knew, but had hoped it existed.
I told him about us, hoping that he'd fight.
But did he?...
