Old Friend Sif.

Seraphine and Solaire could feel that the usually relaxed Adrian was not doing so well. They watched as he walked down the stairs weapons drawn and they went to follow him. Andre who went back to smithing called out to them.

"Leave him be."

They looked at the blacksmith while they heard the sound of combat and metal clashing. Seraphine looked down the stairs and wondered what he was fighting.

"What is down there?"

"A titanate Demon."

Seraphine was about to walk down to help, but Andre chuckled at her attempt.

"He be fine. Me pities the beast."

Just a few moments later Adrian walked up dragging behind him the crumbled corpse of a Titanite Demon. Andre looked at Seraphine as he motioned with his head.

"See."

Adrian took a deep breath as he too off his helmet.

"I got to find Sif."

Andre nods.

"Grave of Knight Artorias be out there. Old Sif, guards his grave. Ye used to be like brothers. Here, take it. Ye will need it."

He takes out the crest of Artorias and throws it at Adrian who catches it. When he looks at the item he grips it tight. He feels a distant feeling of melancholy thinking of Artoria and Sif and looked at his two partners.

"Come on. Time to visit my brothers grave."

Solaire nods as he walked out.

"Knight Artorias, The Abyss Walker? His grave is out there?"

Adrian nods as he leaves the Titanite Demon's corpse. Andre leaves him with good news.

"Go, I will have this melted down and refined by time ye get back."

"Thanks Andre."

They walk down the steps, but no one talks. They can sense that Adrian is not in the mood to talk, but it would be rude to just ignore them. He looks at both of them and sighs.

"Ask your questions?"

Solaire is the first to ask his question as he needed to know.

"Were you one of the knights of Gwyn?"

Adrian shakes his head.

"No, I was not allowed to by Gwyn himself."

Seraphine and Solaire are shocked that someone as strong as him was not allowed to join the knights of Gwyn. She feels that is extremely stupid with how much power he has.

"Why?"

"Simple, Gwyn hates dragons and my order by our respect of them. His God of war, our ancestor betrayed him for them and he has hated them ever since. I wonder if any of them are still alive."

'Drake torch them for me. I am not in the mood. I also got to give you a name.'

The giant drake flies low and breathes fire on the tree monsters killing them all. When they reach the sealed wall Adrian first destroys the illusionary wall and places the crest in the socket.

The giant gates open up and all he wants to do is get to the grave. He does not want to deal with the forest hunters so he aims his drake forward as it kills them all.

"Thank you, buddy, I got a name for you. Russ, after Leman Russ."

The drake tilts his head and he feels a closer connection to him.

<Drake named Russ, dragon bloodline stimulated slightly.>

Even at a glance, it is obviously giving him a name that was causing changes. Even though they were small it was possible to see red glowing veins between the scales. He threw it another piece of the demon, but this time a whole arm.

Solaire and Seraphine gaze at the drake in amazement and it makes Solaire think maybe Gwyn was wrong. This does not seem like a mindless beast to him. Why did he not see the potential of taming them when the Fume Knights did.

Russ flew off into the sky as Adrian sent him away. Now that the path was clear of interruptions he walked toward Alivina as he wondered what she would say about him. Every fragment he got of his memories was better to piece together his past.

As they walked through the slightly torched ground toward the building where the cat took up residence, it was obvious that Adrian had an extra jump in his step. Not literally as it would be funny to see a giant like him jumping, but he could if he wanted to.

When they entered and the cat saw him it scoffed.

"You. I guess your lot did not die out."

Adrian did not get any memories from her and it annoyed him.

"What are you doing in front of my brother's grave?"

She merely scoffed.

"We are not here for his grave Fume Knight? We are here for the forest but remember this. Traversing the dark is a myth. Though knows how Artorias ended up."

It took every ounce of self-restraint not to strangle the cat, so he ignored her. He walked out of the building as he kept walking forward toward the grave. Seraphine walked next to him as she looked up.

"Who is Sif? When you said his name Andre knew about him. Who is he?"

Adrian answered as he kept walking.

"Sif is the partner of Artorias and a friend of mine. He is a wolf, knowing how close they were it makes sense for him to guard Artorias' grave even now."

Solaire smiled as he thought of how much love it wold take for something like that.

"Most noble is the loyalty of a canine to his friend."

Adrian had go agree.

"Your right. Nothing is more precious then the love of a canine."

<New Mission: Safe Sif: Reward 40,000 souls. Sword Sheath for Sif, Loyalty of Sif, and Gacha Ticket in System.>

'Gacha, the devil's game.'

Adrian had to agree, but they arrived at the boss's gate. Not so much as he had no plan to hurt Sif. He pushed open the giant gates open with pure brawn and looked into the field. A giant sword stabbed into the ground in front of the alter.

Just seeing it made him feel sorrow. He removed his helmet as he walked toward the giant sword. When he stood in front of it he looked up and saw the giant grey wolf Sif. Unlike the game, he did not growl or pin him down.

His ears were drooped as tears left his eyes. He jumped in front of Adrian and nudged him with his giant head. Adrian reaped out and hugged the giant wolf's head.

"Sif, it's good to see you ok."

Another memory emerged from his Lord soul and here Artorias and Sif were preparing to leave for his quest into Oolacile as he was ordered. He had his helmet removed as he looked ahead at the open gate.

Beside him stood Adrian who was about the same height as Artorias. The Wolf Knight and Sif who was nowhere near as big as the present turned to look at Adrian as this would be their final goodbye. His hair is black and tied in a long ponytail while his blue eyes are full of hope.

"I am off brother. Here is to a successful campaign.

Adrian looked at the open gates and stepped forward.

"I will come with you. Together we put an end to it."

Artorias shook his head and holds him back by the shoulder.

"No brother, you must remain and guard Anor Londo. It is our mission, and we will return alive."

"Arf."

Sif barks and wags his tail as he rubs his head on Adrian's hand. He pets the wolf as he looks at Artorias with a smirk.

"Come back alive brother."

They exchange one last bro hug as Artorias and Sif walk off. As he walks away he raises his right fist and the memory fades. Adrain comes back and sees that just like before it was fast. This time he did not get a splitting headache as he was getting used to it.

Still, he finds his eyes are slightly wet with tears as he looks at Sif. The wolf is much happier to see Adrian as Artorias died here and most of his friends were dead as well. Ciaran and Gough were dead now and he had not left his post in months.

"Sif, I need the covenet of Artorias."

Sif backed off and shook his head as he blocked Adrian's access. Adrian walked forward and smiled.

"I will not fall to the Abyss. I swear it on my life Sif."

Sif looks at Adrian begging for him not to do it. Adrian pets the wolf again and takes the ring.

"Come with me. Don't stay here. My brother would not want this for you. Please."

Seraphine and Solaire do not know how to help as they do not know Sif. Eventually, the wolf relents and nods slowly. Adrian picks up the ring and places it on. Good thing he can now wear 10 rings unlike the game's limit of 2.

He grabs the handle of the Wolf Knight Greatsword and pulls it out of the ground. It is even bigger than his Ultra Greatsword. He wonders why it got so much bigger as even the one Artorias uses is not this big.

He starts to swing it, but he hears a chuckle and looks at Seraphine who is laughing at it.

"What?"

She chuckles more before she explains what she finds so funny.

"It is funny to see you struggle with that giant thing as I do."

He nods.

"I got to be realistic. I would need at least 55 strength to use it well and maybe 40 dexterity. Maybe a little lower if I two-hand it."

She sighed as she thoughts she had found one thing he could not do.

<Giving Rewards: 40,000 souls, Sword Sheath, and Gacha Ticket. Use now?>

'No, I an going to get my luck as good as I can before that.'

Solaire and Seraphine walk toward Sif who looks at them with distrustful eyes. Adrian shakes his head and smiles at the wolf.

"It's fine. They are my companions."

Sif walks over and sniffs both of them before he walks out of the grave site. He shoots it one final glance before he leaves for good. It has been long enough since then, but he will never forget his friend.

While they are here Adrian has a few things to do here. One of them was to obviously kill the Hydra as he did not have much reason to tame it. It was a water creature and he was mostly a flame user.

He looked at Solaire and Seraphie as he had to do a few things here.

"Well we got a hydra to kill."

They both looked at each other before planing how to kill it. Solaire was perfect as range with his miracles.

"I will rain down lightning down on it."

Adrian whislted and called down Russ. When the drake landed it looked at Sif, but that was all it did. Sif was used to being around dragons and drakes as he members how the Fume Knights would tame dragons.

It still thought that this drake was lacking compared to Adrian's real partner. Adrian patted the drake on the face as he wanted it to fire on it from the sky.

"I want you to rain fire on it. Be very careful while you do it."

The drake got the order and did not go yet. It was waiting to be told to go. Now it was Seraphine turn.

"I want you to join Sif to attack it from behind. Tonight we eat Hydra and Pork."

Russ nudged him and from the loo of it, it liked the idea.

"You will get your share later. Sif, I got something for you."

Adrian eqiped the sheet for Sif and on the right side a handle made for him appeared. It was comfy and from the look of it made for the giant Wolf Knight greatsword. Adrian picked up the giant sword and placed it in the sheath.

"Their, what you think?"

Sif looked at the sword and found it was perfect. Now they had to kill a Hydra so Seraphine got on Sif's back as Solaire and Adrian got on Russ' back. They flew above the hydra and it already locked on the drake.

"Solaire, rain lightning down on it."

"What will you do?"

"Jump."

At that moment he jumped off and drew both sword's while the hydra roared and blasted him with water. He ignnited the flames of the Fume Ultra Greatsword easier than when he was in the real wold and slashed through the water turning it to steam.

He drove it down into the skull of the lead head killing it, but he cut it off to make sure. The other heads snaped toward him, but blast of fire caused agonizing pain to the beast. Some heads tried to deal with him while the others on Russ and Solaire.

All the while Solaire raised down lightning spears on it's heads. While it was being attacked on both sides it did not notice Sif and Seraphine who jumped toward it from the waters edge.

The giant wolf drew his sword and slahed down cutting down a head at the same time as Adrian. Seraphine jumped as well and stand her Zweighthander into it's skull. The final head grabbed by Russ and ripped off in now swoop.

It fell down and now they had a lot of meat and material to harvest. Russ flew down and landed gently with Solaire on the beach. They felt a very large stream of souls. It was over 30,000 souls for all of them. Still now Adrian, Sif, and Seraphine were barely staying above the water.

(I inrsed it to suit the lore. Dragons are supposed to be strong, not weak.)

Adrian kicked and flops with his arms to get to land before he sinks.

'This better not rust.'

Sif goes behind him and pushes him to land as Seraphine was already on his back.
