The End and The Beginning

I was just like the usual hero, I was a fool.

I sacrificed my own bliss for them and yet all I got back was a betrayal.

Why did I get this treatment? I didn't deserve this, I should be receiving tons of compliments! So why, why are you condemning me.

As I crawl to the bottom in my grave state, I couldn't think of anything else besides my tragedy.

Is it the end? The only word that's consuming his mind and nothing could stop him from his misery.

He turned his body and face the ceiling, he placed his hands and tried to stop his tears but it was too strong and so, he cries until he was spent.

If there's a second chance, I'll take it any day. If there's redemption, I'll choose it every time. If there's revenge, I'll give it to them.

To the people who used me and act to be my friend and the foes that planned this in order to take me down.

I promise you, I'll come back from the dead.

And I will kill all of you.

He searched for his sword in the darkness until he founds it, he grabs it while he was shaking because of losing too much blood.

He coughed and raised his sword upward.

He then turns the end and faced him, he smiled as he stabbed his sword in his heart.

His mana slowly let loose as the sword's end deepens in his heart.

Until it stopped beating.

I want a change, please, let me correct my mistake.

One, last, time.

Decatria, city of skies.

The place where our hero was born and raised, but this is also where the tower made its first appearance.

A tower where the danger lies ahead, it's also known as God's Creation.

The mysterious tower where strong monsters and presumably unmatched loot lies.

The tower's floor limit are still yet to be known as humanity hasn't climbed high enough yet.

It's also the culprit on why people decide to make a team.

And those teams are called Factions which consist of players who climb the tower for whatever reason.

Some climb for wealth, money, or exposure.

Out of all the players who tried so far, one particular individual manage to shake the world by his own abilities.

And he was no other than Seul Woo.

The man that led humanity to the tower's many secrets and conquered many trials along the way.

He was a monster.

He's quick-witted and well-coordinated abilities were the reason why his run was successful.

His signature Tenryou Shaku can split mountains and seas and his mana manipulation that can obliterate anything.

He was, unmatched.

But it's not always a happy tale, because of his god-like abilities.

Many people envy him, some try to threaten his family just to get an ounce of it and multiple attempts of assassination.

It wasn't new for him.

Floor 146, Floor of misty fog is the place where he met a faction named Ruven Dare.

A unique name but a group full of scumbags.

A leader named Gwan Chul and their vice leader Ji-ah led this team to its popularity now.

But they almost met their end because of encountering the great boa.

Half of their infantry was massacred by the giant snake and none of them were strong enough to stop the monster.

But because of him.

They were saved.

Seul Woo saved the unit and let them join his journey all the way, sharing loots and merit.

Those were all provided to them.

Solely because Seul Woo was attracted to their vice leader.

And that's when they climbed Floor 308, Floor of Tombs.

A cemetery and rumored to be the home of a ferocious woman.

Hel.

A monster that existed during the Norse mythology.

Seul Woo entered the floor and guides the crew as usual.

But this time, the atmosphere is distinct.

Seul Woo couldn't shake the uneasiness when they entered the floor.

The floor is separated into three parts.

Criple Tombs, Morpheus Tombs, and Hel's Tomb.

Criple being the easiest and Hel being the hardest.

Seul Woo cleared the two parts efficiently without the help of his companions and made their way to the last part.

Haenami walks up closer to the crypt to check but Hel wasn't there anymore.

" Behind you! "

Gwan Chul yells and Seul Woo deflects the claws from a demon.

Once the demon lost its balance, Seul Woo dives in and cuts it in half.

The blood spills on the floor, the ground suddenly shakes and a monster on the ground rises.

A beautiful woman flies in the air with her wings while she stares at Seul Woo.

" What a hot man you're, mind if I add you to my collection? "

She said as she fires five rays at Seul Woo.

He then shifts his body as he runs towards her to avoid the rays.

Once he closed the gap, he hold onto his sword and slashed her.

It managed to graze her chest but she pulls her body back and smacked Seul Woo.

He flies in the air up onto the ground at a fast rate and his body was slammed.

He jumps up and flashes into her.

Once the gap was closed once again, Seul Woo exchanged strikes with her.

A large amount of energy was leaking out from every exchange that push everyone away.

Both of them pulled back and Seul Woo glided his palm on his blade triggering a hex in the metal.

Once activated, Seul Woo flickers multiple times to confuse Hel and reappears at the top to deliver the slash.

He gritted his teeth and the sword slowly penetrates the toughest skin of Hel, the sword goes down all the way splitting her in half as she screamed in pain.

He was panting heavily as grabs the core of Hel.

An exclusive item dropped only on this floor and by defeating the boss.

He goes down and regroups with the team.

He smiled as he met Ji-ah's eyes.

I defeated her, we can now go back.

Stabs, he slowly looked back to see Gwan Chul shaking as he gripped the sword tightly, pushing it at Haenami's back.

Gwan Chul then pushed Seul Woo as he slowly drops to the ground.

What's going on?

Aren't we friends?

Why are you doing this to me?

" Friends? Are you kidding me? Do you know how much we're trying so hard just to earn your trust for one year? It was so disgusting. "

Says Ji-ah as she runs and wraps her hand in Gwan Chul's shoulder.

What? Disgusted?

This is all a ploy?

What about the time we spent together?

" Don't make me laugh, we're all terrified because of how you can just end everyone if you're pissed. " Gwan Chul scoffs as he placed his foot on Seul Woo's body.

So I was just used in the end?

Pathetic.

You bastard are, all the same, I should've never trusted you.

I should've just let you die back then.

I should've never met you.

Gwan Chul tries to get Seul Woo's sword but he was suddenly zapped by it.

" Ow, fuck! " he kicks the sword and focused his attention on the other one that's stabbed at Seul Woo.

He smirked and adds a burning effect on it, Seul Woo groaned in pain as everyone was in joy watching him suffer.

All of this is my fault.

What a clown.

" What was that? "

" I said, you're a clown. " the flames in Seul Woo's body suddenly disappeared and he grabbed the sword and pulled it as he stands up.

Once he swings his sword horizontally the bodies of Gwan Chul's crew fly in the air as Seul Woo turns his head and looked at him while smiling.

" Where do you think you're going? " Gwan Chul blocks Seul Woo's sword as both of them exchanges sword strikes.

Ji-ah sneaks and tries to stab him but Seul Woo casually kicked her stomach and makes her fly onto the wall.

He overpowered Gwan Chul despite his grave state and slash in his direction.

It only managed to graze his left eye.

Gwan Chul groans in pain as he holds onto his eye whilst bleeding.

Seul Woo jumps and tries to end Gwan Chul's life when suddenly a loud throb in his heart paralyzed him.

He rolls on the ground as Gwan Chul takes Ji-ah away.

" This is the end, Seul Woo. "

" Too bad for you, but don't worry. Everything you have will be donated to our Faction. "

Seul Woo forced his arm to move but his body isn't listening to him anymore.

He faced the ceiling and looks at the orb.

" Consumable? "

He didn't hesitate any further and swallowed the crystal.

As it slowly goes down in his stomach.

Violent dark energy destroys everything on the floor.

Gwan Chul managed to escape using a teleportation ticket and flees.

Seul Woo was left creating havoc until he was exhausted and then he found himself once again lying on the floor.

His body was numb at this point and he lost too much blood.

It was beyond help.

He could only wait for his death to come.

Once he accepted his faith, he killed himself.

Seul Woo's death was spread out everywhere whether it was outside or inside the tower.

Everyone knew his downfall.

And just like what Gwan Chul states, every property of his was transferred to the Faction.

No one knew what actually happened.

Seven years later, in the north of Antaria.

A rumor was formed of a mysterious young individual to be the next generation of Seul Woo.

A very similar wit of the legend and handi-craft abilities.

He might be the next guy who will lead humanity once again.

But mostly the one who will continue his step.
