Something to lift the mood.

It was 6:30pm when Archer returned home that day. He sat in the room, on his bamboo bed, thinking about his messed-up day. The door creaked, and opened slowly. Shania walked in. she walked towards him quietly.

"Archer?" she called out in a low tone. He did not respond, he was deep in thoughts. She tapped his shoulder, and he turned to her.

"Shay..." he said in a low tone.

"You've been upset since you got back, are you okay?" she asked.

"Where's Leelam?" he asked, glancing around.

"He is out"

"To?"

"No idea"

The room once more became dead silent.

"I really don't like this mood Archer" Shania complained.

"What mood?" Archer asked with a small smile.

"This... whole thing!" She yelled, waving her arms. Archer chuckled.

"Then change the mood" he said.

She sat, thinking for a while. She tried making some jokes, but he wouldn't laugh, and even if he did, it would sound insincere. She got exhausted, and something popped up in her mind.

"I have an idea!" she exclaimed.

"What?" he replied groggily.

"Get up" she ordered, standing, arms akimbo.

"What...?" he dragged.

"Up!" she yelled, and he obeyed.

"Good, follow me" she said, and ran out of the room.

"Don't ask where we're going, cos it's a surprise" Shania explained, as she walked out of the house.

"Don't worry, just keep coming behind me, when we get there, you'll be amazed!" she added with her head facing the road, while she strolled happily.

"Do you know, if I were to choose between staying with you and

staying alone in the forest, I'll commit suicide hehe" she teased, and still got no response.

"Why are you quiet?" she asked, turning back for the first time since the journey started, and that was when she realized that she had been alone all along.

Meanwhile, Archer laid on the bed, sighing hard. He smiled, and pulled the blanket over his shoulders.
