"So? We had a map. Should we go now?"

Laurence asked.

"Wait. We don't have any kind of items. We must buy some."

Rai replies.

"For what? We have you."

"Just some mana potions. If this world is the same as the game. It definitely does have. Also, since this is the adventurers' guild. There must be shops nearby."

"Yeah, you're right."

Meanwhile in an open field. There is a heavy cavalry.

"Commander. We are too late."

Said by a soldier on his horse who just arrived.

"What do you mean? We have over one hundred and fifty thousand troops! What do you mean we're too late?"

"It seems they are killed by an unknown enemy."

"Unknown enemy?"

"Yes. We found their bodies in an extremely weird position. It seems like the culprit arrange their bodies into different symbols. If we had just arrived yesterday… Even all the opposing troops are found dead."

"Who the hell must be this enemy? Also. It does seem unlikely to be only made by a single person. Handling over three hundred thousand troops is absurd."

"What if it is a magic caster!? You know their power! They could achieve such a feat if it is a powerful magician! But still commander. They are finished using blades and unknown weaponry. We found this. So it really must not be just one person."

The soldier then presented a small metallic piece.

"Hhmm… This looks odd. How did you found such a thing?"

"We do not know it's purpose. But it is found in many corpses. Deep within their bodies."

"Really? Is this a new weapon then? We must investigate this further."

"Yes!"

"Recover their bodies. Take carts to carry them. If we can't carry all of our soldiers in one go. We'll go back again later."

"Understood!"

The horsemen of over seventy thousand soldiers go on to collect bodies with carts to put them.

After walking a while. The group found a shop that sold items that they needed. Clad in their powerful equipment except for their weapons that are currently in the inventory. They head inside.

"Hello, customers."

A bearded man greets them.

"Hello. We do need some mana and also health potions. Could we have some?"

Rai asked.

"Oh, sure, sure."

"Rai. You said we only need mana potions."

Asser asked.

"Just being careful. We're still level one after all."

"Oh yeah, you're right."

"Here. Are the potions. There are different portions, please check them out."

As the man presented them different types of potions which he took from the shelf behind him.

"Then. We'll take every potion you have, is that alright?"

"Oh… Sure! Of course. If you also need more kinds of items. Please check out in the store. I also sell buff potions."

"Buff potions huh? Let me see."

The man took another tray and presented it.

"There is strength, endurance, intelligence, agility, and god potions!"

"God potions?"

"Yes. They basically awaken somebody's Godkin abilities. Though it could only be used effectively by those who possessed the blood of the gods. This doesn't really make them permanently awaken it but rather it just provides them the ability to manifest and control those powerful abilities residing within them for less than five minutes, but this potion could only be used three times a day. Any more than that and it could be fatal. Also. Awakening your god-kin abilities is extremely hard and there's no apparent real method of awakening it completely, but we could have them use it for a total of 15 minutes a day."

"Tell us more about such Godkins please before we pay."

"Well. As I said. Godkins are those blessed beings for having the power of the gods. It's said that 1 over ten thousand newborns have Godkin heritage. But only 1 over a thousand of them could awaken it at some point of their age. There are specially made items to detect these dormant powers within them that are proven effective. But there is no way of awakening them. If only there is. Our country has the highest number of people that had Godkin heritage. There are over a thousand of them, but only six of them are currently awakened. But even not awakened. Having godkin heritage also gives them a boost in power like their control over ki or mana, strength, or agility, they are more powerful than the average person."

"I see. Then. Who exactly are the gods?"

"Well. The gods are the mystery everyone wanted to know. The bards sing about them but there is no description of what they look like. The only thing described about them is how they are extremely powerful and gave, taught magic to the whole world over a thousand years ago. The only description of what they actually look like is that their leader is a ruthless tactician that has an exquisite robe and a ruler's sceptre. Utilizing everything even dirty means to accomplish his mission. That's all there is just have some bard sing for you their stories."

"Alright. Thank you for that. We'll be paying then. Give us everything of those buff potions too."

"Thank you so much. Please come again."

"Also thanks for the info."

Rai then tossed a bag with twenty golds which for this world is enough to feed a huge family for a half a year.

"Thank you so much!"

The man bows as the group head out.

"Big bro! Isn't that description a bit like you? A ruthless tactician that uses dirty means?"

"Hm. Doesn't seem like me."

"Hey, guys. There are buff potions here. Didn't we patent it for our guild? Why do they have it? Especially, some person is selling it. There is also this god potion."

Asser said as they are putting their potions in their quick slots.

"Yeah. Also, Benedict is the one who invented its recipe. Every guild wanted a partnership with us for the dwarves' works. This world is truly weird. Are we really in another world?"

Rei replied.

"Right. Rei is right. How come there are such things here? Even the devs are not allowed on doing such thing by the law."

Niel also spoke up.

"This world truly is a mystery. It seems it wanted us to explore its everything."

Rai replied to them.

"Very well! Let's just go over that quest!"
