Ahhhh!
Rolling to the side, he fell harshly on the ground as he pressed his hands on his ears as he heard a loud scream. A scream that felt as though it was right in front of him but he had been in his room, alone, trying to rest. But this hadn't been working lately.
He had been feeling odd lately since he left her and moved with his uncle. Moved to a different country and tried to start over yet with the habit of still walking at night. Yet this all of this was becoming too much since she had marked him on his chest.
Just as he thought of that, he felt his chest begin to burn and he didn't know why. "Ahh!" he screamed as he felt the scream in his head get louder and the pain become more intoxicating.
He heard the door open and he turned to see his uncle give me a worried look. "Josefa!" he yelled from shock when he noticed me on the ground. Yet as soon as he tried to take a step forward, he immediately fell back from fear and I looked to the mirror.
My eyes were glowing and the mirror seemed to be shifting. As if a vision of where the pain was coming from. As soon as it compeltly shifted, he saw her. She was held by a species that he knew. One that was the cruellest and was meant to devour anything it desired.
And because of the mark, they were chained together and he didn't know how to stop it. All he knew was that the more the creature hurt her the more it hurt him and when he noticed it bite above her breast. He felt the pain twice as much and he let out a painful cry.
Feeling his body shift, he quickly pulled out the tools necessary and drew the symbols that would lead him to that realm. The heard his uncle's muffled warnings and shouts but it didn't matter. Had he not known about this, he would have easily overlooked this but this time he couldn't.
He felt too much and was way too connected to the fallen angel. "Tell her, I need her to bring the package to me." he groaned out as he felt the pain increase and just when his uncle was about to stop him, he drew the final symbol and the burn spread. He could feel his true form slip through.
And when he opened his eyes, he was falling backwards in the realms sky, turning to the side. His wings spread and he flew straight to where he knew she was. His body was starting to burn and he knew he was running out of time to get to this fallen angel.
As soon as he was close range, he dropped down and his wings pulled back when he felt something prick his back, the damn creature was trying to pull out her true form so he could torture her differently.
Falling harshly, he crashed into the trees and the bushes and fell on top of something wet. When he looked to the side, he noticed a head and body spilt open as though someone had just ripped it open for certain parts. It didn't even finish though as he noticed the part that had been half eaten on the ground.
The scent was horrible and he knew it would only get worse. When he felt the pain again, he rolled to the side and crawled at first waiting for that open window so that he could get up and move quickly. When he felt it subside, he hurried forward and reached the very same place where the scream was loud as the one in his head.
"Somnum exterreri!" he shouted and immediately the creature stopped its doing. Slowly turning to the side, it turned to be and gave me an angry look. "Another meal." It said out loud, "But one I will be sure to finish before this one." It said.
Dropping her, it walked to him slowly but stopped a distance away. "Step out of the shadows as it does not suit you. Plus everyone who is wise, knows the dark is only meant for those intended for it. So step out." It snapped.
Taking a deep breath in, I stepped forward and immediately they locked eyes. The creature's eyes snapped open wide and slowly realized who I was. "I hope I wasn't too loud with my meal to disturb you." It said.
"Finish the one I had the decency on falling upon, this one is off limits." I said as I let out a tired breath and tried to stretch my back. "B-but…" it stuttured. Then stopped and looked away. "No." It suddenly said. Arching my eyebrow, I dared him to repeat it. "You heard me, I said no, in fact, I should eat you too."
And right then he lunged for me.
