The shareholders ambushed me the next day at the office as they all arrived at the same time.

"Please have a seat," I instructed, as they all walked to sit on the two office couches. I pulled the chair from the desk and sat down facing them. Anisha and Zeeb joined in the meeting and stood by the office window, watching. 

"To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?" I spoke up before any of them could speak.

"Lucian, why would you ruin your future by marrying that murderer? "One of the old female shareholders asked. 

"Ruin and murderer are words I will not let anyone use in order to describe my husband-to-be," I asserted. Wide eyes, jaw drops and shock were all the emotions and actions of each shareholder. 

"I agreed to this marriage with a sound mind. They did not coerce me. I will marry Conri Dolf' 

"What about the company's reputation?" Another exclaimed.
