"Kneel," Vin commanded, his tone as frigid as the void itself, "or meet your demise."
His words hung in the air like a promise of impending doom, and those who heard them knew that resistance was futile. The gods trembled, tears cascading from their hollowed eyes, as the scene that had unfolded just moments before flashed through their minds. The gruesome memory of their pantheon leaders and god-kings lay fresh, their lives violently extinguished in a way unthinkable for their station of power.
With chilling grace, Vin continued, his tone indifferent and dismissive as he regarded them as nothing but insignificant vermin. "Submit, or your fate shall be sealed like theirs."
Vin pointed with his right hand, while his left hand, palm upturned, ascended into the air. In perfect synchrony with his gesture, the dozens of gods present found their heads forcefully lifted and their bodies suspended in mid-air, constricted by an unbreakable gravitational force.
Though in Vin's mind, he knew what truly constricted these fearfully, piss-laden gods. What gripped them was the most potent of weapons. Fear.
In that moment, Vin embodied a force beyond even divine comprehension, a being as elegant and as he was lethal. Vin's presence commanded… no, it demanded obedience, and those before him understood that defiance meant only one thing—a fate worse than death.
For death was an escape from this man's wrath.
The bloodied scene of strewn limbs and innards served as a chilling reminder, as the gods looked upon the discarded remnants of their predecessors...
