Chapter 40

The Pokeball flew toward Ophis only to hit her in the head.

"..."

Azazel's eyes widened as he saw Akira throw a sphere at Ophis' head. In his mind, he was already saying goodbye to his friends.

"Hm?"

Ophis didn't move and let the Pokeball hit her, and just as she was about to reach out to grab the Pokeball, she saw the Pokeball open up as she sucked it in.

The Pokeball fell to the ground as it swayed from side to side, flashing with a red light in its center.

Sweat dripped from Akira's forehead as he watched this scene, he knew that if Ophis came out of the Pokeball, it would mean he had failed.

The Pokeball kept swinging from side to side, until finally it stopped, indicating that he had successfully captured Ophis.

Walking over to the Pokeball, Akira picked it up gently. His eyes contained a strange glint.

"YATTA!" Lifting the Pokeball high into the air, he couldn't help but exclaim in happiness.

Azazel seeing all that was happening was confused.

All he saw was Akira throwing a sphere at Ophis, only for her to be sucked a few seconds later into the sphere.

"Where does this item capable of sucking in one of the strongest dragons in the world come from?" He couldn't help but look with certain greed at the Pokeball in Akira's hands.

This was an item that could capture a Dragon God, so it was not ordinary.

Poor Azazel, if he had known that this was a common Pokeball...

...

At that moment Akira lightly pressed the Pokeball as he placed it on the ground.

In a few moments, an Ophis came out of the Pokeball.

Her expression was still stoic, but one could see a certain gleam of happiness in her eyes as if she had finally achieved the silence she so desperately desired.

"Hm?"

Looking to the side, she saw that she was no longer in her silent place.

"Is it time to pay the rent yet?" She asked in an innocent tone.

Akira looking at Ophis' cute expression, had a strange feeling welling up in his heart, but he soon slapped himself in the face.

'No, that's wrong!'

Turning his gaze back to her, he said, "No, I just wanted to see if everything was okay with you."

"Everything is fine." Saying those words, she touched the Pokeball that was on the ground, returning to her silent place.

Ophis' actions showed that she had no interest in continuing to talk to him, especially now that she had gotten the place she so desired.

"I guess that's good, at least now I have the most powerful person in the world by my side." Akira muttered as he picked up the Pokeball from the ground and placed it back on his neck.

From a distance Azazel saw Akira place the pokebola on his neck, causing him to almost faint from shock.

"What does he think he's doing? The Infinity Dragon is inside that thing, and he still dares to wear it as a necklace?" Azazel didn't know how to react.

Moving closer to Akira, he decided to warn him.

"Child, be careful with that around your neck, the person inside that object, is one of the two Dragon Gods." His tone showed that he was not joking.

After warning him, Azazel expected to see a surprised or even shocked expression, but all he got was a smile from Akira as if he didn't care.

And well... He didn't care.

Ophis' actions showed that she wouldn't do him any harm she might help him deal with other powerful people. Hell, he might even use her to intimidate the other Gods.

Akira couldn't help but already he could imagine himself invading the Norse pantheon and proclaiming himself the new father of the Gods, and once the other Gods of the Norse pantheon showed up, he would summon Ophis to scare them to death.

'Looks like luck has finally smiled on me.'

Shaking his head in happiness, he looked at Azazel who was standing in front of him.

"Oh, right! I almost forgot."

"Azazel, I wonder if you are interested in doing some work together with me?" Akira asked.

A trace of surprise flashed through Azazel's eyes upon hearing Akira's question, but he soon gave a smile, "Why not? But that will have to wait, as I need to help Vali recover from his injuries." At the end of his speech, he pointed to Vali who was lying unconscious on the floor.

Azazel being friendly with him, was already something Akira had expected.

This leader of the Fallen Angels was indeed an easy person to befriend.

"In that case, why don't we go to Grigori? I've always wanted to see the place where the Fallen Angels live." Akira said with a smile.

Hearing Akira say that he would like to meet Grigori, caused Azazel to have an idea to try to lure him to his side. He knew that the Fallen Angels were the weakest force among the three powers, but that didn't mean that he was anything but able to attract Akira to his side.

Besides, if he could attract Akira to his side, he could show off to the Angels by saying that the True Longinus bearer was an ally of the Fallen Angels. He could even imagine the expression Michael would have at this moment.

"Alright, once we get there we can go to a bar to talk." Azazel said as he conjured a magic teleportation circle.

'Go in the bar that belongs to Grigori? If I'm not mistaken, the people who look after that bar are, Tobio Ikuse and Lavinia Reni... This is getting interesting.'

The image of two people appeared in Akira's mind, and his interest in visiting Grigori increased by several folds.

'If I do things the right way, then I can get a bishop.'

With these thoughts, he soon entered the magic circle that Azazel had made. All that was missing was Vali who Azazel grabbed in one of his arms and led him into the magic circle.

"All right, let's go!"

Saying this, Azazel activated the magic circle, causing everyone inside the circle to teleport to Grigori's headquarters.

Akira just felt the space around him change, and when he blinked his eyes, he was already at Grigori's headquarters which was located in the human world.

"Alright, we're here! You can make yourself comfortable, I'll just take Vali to another room." Azazel said as he walked out a door with Vali in his arms.

Seeing Azazel leaving the room they were in, Akira shook his head as he approached the window.

Looking out the window, he realized that he was in a huge building of the human world.

'I didn't expect Grigori's headquarters to be so exposed.'

It was likely that the Fallen Angels were using some kind of magic to hide.

"I guess I can only hope."

Saying those words, he sat down in one of the armchairs that were inside the room.
