Koten

You ever look at a group of people and you're like, damn, I wish I could be apart of that? Well, yeah, that's me. I wish, but I guess the Earth will never listen to me. I always feel this pit of doubt stuck in my heart, freezing and burning my brain cells. I want to cry and shed a single tear, but, well, you know. I don't want people to ask what's wrong with me. I'm afraid that people will make fun of me and call me a big baby. I'm afraid that people will call me an alien, because I'm so different from them. I'm frustrated that people will tell me to suck it up and that everyone goes through shit everyday. See?, you know the pain of that right? You get what I'm trying to say, right? You understand me, right?

Koten clicks send and signs off. It was a good try Koten thought, but he knew that the guy would never understand him. As he rolls over his bedsheets, the sound of a notification startles him. Koten rolls back over towards his laptop.

"He understands!" he whispers joyfully. "He understands..."

3 Months Back

"Another day at the trash-hole," Koten mumbles. "And I. Want. To die."

As his jaw tightens with an exhausted yawn, Koten stumbles along to room 101 just like the rest of the zombie horde he calls, classmates. He didn't know it, but the largest pocket of his bookbag was open, exposing most of the items he had brought along inside. All he had was a crumbled peice of lined paper, a pencil with a dull eraserhead, and the light gray lunch bag his mom made sure to pack and give to him on his way to school.

As he walks in and glances at the empty but free seats. He feels the rush of anxiety running through his chest. He's afraid of something, but he just can't put his finger on it. "Everything's fine, dude. Everything's fine." he says, placing a hand across his chest.

He chooses a seat on the left side of the classroom in the second aisle near the front of the room. "Oh, damn, my bookbag's open?!" His mind roars as he then zips and sets his bookbag down next to the chair. "If I fits, I damnwell sits." he says settling down into the chair, his posture laid back and relaxed.

"That's right, Koten, make an awkward joke for only yourself to hear, that's right dude."

One student stumbles into the classroom, then three, then fifteen, and then twenty-five. The leader of the massive horde walks in with confidence. Her glossy, chocolate skin, her chin up, back straight, her hands behind her back.

She's one helluva professional teacher Koten thought to himself, as he fixed his posture, putting both feet on the floor, his legs bent, his arms laid out on the desk in front of him.

"Students," the teacher boomed, her voice traveling through the entire room. "I will be teaching you this semester, and I will not tolerate any nonsense - or in your language, shit from either of you. Do you understand, yes or no?"

"And she's hella loud." Koten mumbles, wincing at her voice with his sensitive ears.

The room erupts with silent chatter, Koten discreetly laugh at the comments his classmates make about the teacher.

"Aye yo, this lady loud as a bitch."

"Oh hecks nah, bruh!"

"She said the s-word ahahaha!"

"Oh mah lord!"

'This lady's somethin'' alright."

"Did she really just say that!?"

"Oh this gon' be a fun class."

"Um, who the heck is she?"

"Uuuuh..., wow."

"Karma gon' get her ass, heeheehee."

"At least she thicc tho!"

"Ugh, you guys are disgusting."

"Have she ever heard of manners?!"

"Can she like..., not say that."

"I don't think that's appropriate, my dude."

"HEY!" the teacher shouts. The room immediately goes silent. Not even the "bad kids" Franky, and Theo continued to talk. Koten stared straight at the teacher, alarmed just as everyone else.

"MY NAME IS Ms., KOPENSOC. I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY NONSENSE..., OR DISRESPECT FROM EITHER ONE OF YOU, YES OR NO?" the teacher yells, with a serious, cold expression planted on her face. Her eyes bleeding into each and every one of ours.

The room is still quiet, until someone speaks, "Yes, ma'am." a girl with pale skin, her skin then blushed with red, says. Her hands placed below her desk, Koten watched as she began to figit with a peice of the end of her blue shirt. Most of the students in the class's eyes are sprung wide open. Whose wouldn't be?, She took one for the team, Koten thought. "I wish I could be as brave as her." He says to himself.

The class then fills the room with howls of yeses. Koten is shocked with glory at the whole class. "Yes, Ms, Cop a sock!" A dark skinned girl says, and the teacher giggled with the shake of a head.

"This is gonna be a good class." Koten says to himself. And so he joins in with a silent, and low yes as well.

"Alright, alright, lower the volume now," Ms. Kopensoc said, settling the class down.

"Here is your warm up and first assignment, I want you all to write a love story between you and a Disney princess or Disney prince, while you are at home laying in bed. But the catch is that you are stuck in your room for an entire day," She explains with a smirk curving into small smile.

"Explain to me how you break out and you get extra credit."

The student all nod their heads, giving each other that "Oh you know what's gonna go down in my story" look. Koten felt the pit of sadness and doubt in his heart again. He wished he had someone to nod to. "Well, at least we don't have to work with partners." he mutters with a deep breath.

"If you work together, you also get extra credit. Maybe, just maybe, two great minds will think alike." She adds with a quick wink.

Koten's mind burst with surprise along with an annoyed sigh. "Oh my gosh.., of course she would say that."

"Well, CHOP CHOP!" she announces with two ear bursting claps.

"Grab out a sheet of paper and begin."

Jown

"I wish I could walk with a group friends just like that. Just walking, no craziness, no spitting facts, nothing. Just peace and exercise." Jown says through the blinding sunlight, bird watching 3 boys that look like they could be in highschool, as they walk by his half open window. "I've never seen them before.., strange," he mumbles to himself as the grey curtains he held fly into his face with a slap. "Maybe they're in another grade," he shrugs.

Jown crumbles the curtains up in his fist, tying a hair tie [from his sister's bedroom] around it to prevent it from doing it again.

"Hey, they're at that dude's house. The one where Ella and Candy went to time to time." He stares deeply, wondering what they would do next. "Man.., I miss them. I miss it when they'd fight each other, or just sit and smoke with their friends at the spot [the wonderful place under the back balcony of their friend's home].

He sees one of the guys leave through the white screen doors on the back porch. He feels heaviness in his chest and mind as seeing people in general, reminded him that there were still people in the world and that he wasn't alone, as he observed the back alley of his home 24/7. The other two boys head over to the house across from them. "Damn, I can't see them over that stupid, wooden fence!" he says, his fist tightening.

He hears a small, squeaky sound from behind him. He turns and sees his cat Injest [because she eats a lot] sleeping on his bed. Jest snoring, her eyes slightly opened enough to see her eyeballs rolled up towards her brain. "I swear to god that's creepy, Jest," he says brushing her orange fur with his hand gently, as she begins to awaken. She stares at him with her marble, shiny, mint green eyes. "I bet your like 'why you wake me up, crazy hooman!'" he chuckles, his head bouncing side to side. "Well, crazy hooman woke you up because he's hekka bored!" he says, as she twist and turns her body, as she rolls over almost clawing his hand with her extended paw. "Boop," he pokes her nose with his finger. When he does it a second time, she backs her face away, and rolls the other way.

"Fine, I won't do it again," He sighs dropping his head. "Just...don't hate me, okay?"

A tings rings from his pocket, his iPhone. He turns to check, it's a message from his Columbian friend

Samuel. It reads, "Hey buddy, you got the key?"

Jown checks the box on his computer desk, and there it is. The key to a mystery box Samuel said he would show him on his 17th birthday. He grabs it's worn out figure from its molded place, and snaps a picture of it to show him. "This one?" Jown texts, making sure. "Yeah, that one." Samuel replies back. "I'll give it to you on Friday, okay?"

Samuel sends him a thumbs up emoji, and he presses the power button on his phone and plugs it into the charger cord.

A large thumping sound jolts Jowns body up. He knows it's Jest jumping and running around crazy as always. "Jest." He sighs. "I guess it's time to procrastinate instead of doing my homework, ugh!" He groans, sliding the science homework packet he needed to do off of the desk. "Sometimes I wish I was a cat. Wouldn't have to do any homework. Though I'm not not so sure how I feel about rodents being in my mouth..., or eating them." He places a hand on his chin, in thought.

"Oh well, then." He says, faceplanting his head on his [dark blue] pillow.

Daina

I don't know life very well. She writes on the lines of her journal. I don't know humans very well. I'm the fullest bit of confused about the human lifestyle. Why are we on this Earth, why do we depend on one another. Why do we have families. Why are we stuck on Earth in the literal place of nowhere. Where are we!... I mean, I know that we're here bc of the big bang theory, or bc of our animal decendants. I'm just trying to take in one big breath all at once, because I know that EVERYTHING is not okay.

She inhales slowly, her exhale rushing out. She continues to write.

I get a little scared, infact a lot scared. "What's going to happen"

"Will things be okay"

"Will this be for the better?!"

"Is THIS even worth it"

Tears form on the tip of her bottom eyelids.

Mom's hurt I KNOW, Jess's hurt I CAN SEE THAT, Brandy's not saying anything, we're SCREWED.

We don't understand each other.

We didn't ask to be on this Earth..., We still probably wouldn't ask to exist if we knew life was gonna be this hard, regardless of the good, the best, the challenges, the bad that turns to good..., It's still horrible.

No one understands..

Her body shakes with pressure and tension.

The house is quiet, the uncomfortable type.

Like something or someone could scare me at any second.

Who knew that girl would foreshadow this exact moment. "Someone. Is. Going. To. Snap." She said.

I didn't but my mother did.

She exhales again, sighing.

Tears are on sight. What will happen through this night?. I can't help but catch a site. Of the nerve racking hole getting bigger with a knife.

My role on this Earth is to be a "daughter", a "student", a "girl", a "person", a "human", an " existed, concious species"

A bad moment is here again.

And now I'm just waiting for mine.

She starts on another page:

Will we get better.

Will we change.

Will mom be satisfied.

I'm scared.

What will happen.

We have to die.

We have to exist.

This is a bad moment.

"One of many," She says standing up, pacing her bedroom.

She sits back down, writing more.

It's hard to believe anymore.

I can't, but can believe...in god, ...in Jesus, ...in science.

Humans are screwed.

I may be way over my head.

But this sucks.

I'm tense.

I can't stop feeling rigid.

"FUCK!"

"I can't believe I just cursed.., damn." She mumurs, shaking her head.

She glaces out at the street through her window.

She starts another paragraph.

Why do I feel bad for the next generation?

Maybe because their screwed too.

Mom cried.

Jess cried.

Brandy stopped talking.

I'm..the same.

She tells us to not give up, but she is...

We're here because of a reason..., right?

A stupid one.

Mom's hurt, mom's hurt, mom's hurt.

She's sad, she's sad, she's sad, she's sad.

"Oh no..," She takes a breath, releasing it.

We're supposed to have bad times, AND good ones. I can try to be a "good girl"

"BUT I'M JUST SO FUCKING TENSE!" She scream.

Korii

She's riding in her Honda, passing by the pink, and white [that look like cotton] trees, and bright, neon yellow bushes of flowers. She gazes in astonishment. Until She passes by a series of dead, broken trees that ruin the moment.

"Oh hecks nah, I'm taking the other street," She shakes her head in disgust. A white, rainbow figure stands in the street as she continues to drive. "They should move," She thinks. "Or as a matter of fact I should slow down!" She screams, her car swirving around towards the figure. "A UNICORN!?"

She wakes up. "Damn I was dreaming again."

She aches in pain as she walkes over to her bed. Her body hurts as she holds her lower abdomen. She groans, as she grabs an ice pack from the top dresser of her nightstand. Breathing heavily as she tries to contain her throbbing lady part, she holds and presses it close to her skin. She shivers, but it sure is helping to ease the pain. She just "did it" with one of her best friends in her own bedroom. It wasn't as bad as she thought it would be. For the first time ever she had exposed my body to someone she was close with. Was it entirely frightening?...definitely.

Right now he's cleaning his self up in the bathroom of her bedroom. So she can't know his reaction for sure. She just hopes that he isn't feeling any attached emotions within the moment. If he is, she supposes that there is no way for her to know.

About 3 minutes later he returns back to me. He snatches the ice pack from Korii's hands, and kisses her slipping bits of his tongue sloppily through my mouth. "What are you doing?" She asks him pushing his face away from hers. The saliva stretching as we move apart, then breaking as she wiped her lips. "What are you doing?" We should be making out right now." He grinned looking down at my lips as I look straight at his eyes. "So what if I'm not, it's over, we finished, I'm sure there isn't anything else you need to explore out of me Dorm," I blather out at him.

"C'mon, Kor," he argued . "There's so much more I need out of you, your body's so se- " he gets interrupted by the sound of my apartment's front door slamming. He looks at my bedroom door with a quick glance, clucks his tongue, and looks back at me grabbing my hips, feeling lower to my thighs.

"I gotta go, k, I'll see ya later," he cooed, kissing the side of my neck. He's leaving me now turned on again, alone in my bed.

I sigh and raise the corner of my lips into a smirk. I guess you could say that was amazing.

5 minutes later, the pain reduces as my other best friend Pam, and my "awkward" friend Lili barges into my room. I call Lili my "awkward" friend is because of the fact that we're awkward with each other. I suppose you could say that we're one of the friends that when left alone together, we just don't "click" like we do with our actual friends.

Pam who is the prettiest girl in my whole school, but also is silliest, jumps onto my bed without jumping to conclusion. My eyes are struck wide open at the fact that my best friend had jumped into a gross, moist pile of sweat, and maybe blood. Yikes you could say. Yikes indeed. I immediately push her off, and she falls on the orange plush rug I have on my floor.

"Korii?!" She exclaims, picking up her phone that had fell out of her pocket.

"I'm sorry, but you really shouldn't sit on my bed right now, I'm serious," I implore grabbing a lollipop from my candy cup on my nightstand. Yes lollipops are one of my obsessions and weaknesses. I'm gonna need them on my bad days.

"But why? I always sit on your bed" she says pushing herself up from the floor.

"Well, maybe you shouldn't always do that, especially when you don't know the background story of it," I say tearing open the lollipop wrapper, tossing it into my trash bin as I slide it into my mouth.

She pauses a moment before saying anyting, a stare. "Well this is new information Kor, I didn't know it was a crime to sit on my best friend's bed, but okay." she lamented and sat in my desk chair.

I sigh and suck the lollipop hanging from my mouth.

"I'm sorry," I say. "I'm-I'm just too embarrassed to tell you why."

She looks at me with her eyebrows knitted, worried.

"Look, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but there has to be a reason that explains why all of a sudden I can't sit on your bed."

"I know, I know, and there is..," Korii admits.

"Did you and Dorm sleep together?" Lili asks, with a smirk placed on her face. She's all UP in my business, but she can't blame her, she almost forgot she was here. She's sure Pam did too. It happens pretty often. We don't mean to, it just does, Lili's sneaky sometimes.

"You sure are, uh, good at guessing" She look over at her. She's leaning against the back of my door, on her phone, possibly texting someone.

"Thanks," she smiles, stepping closer to her.

"And that's why you won't let her sit on your bed, because you effed a boy!" She crowed, grinning happily.

"Oh my God!" Pam screeched, gasping. "I sat on all of that!" She gestures, hovering her hand over the spot.

"Whoa, just hold it right there!, you guys already knew that I was playing around with Dorm. Besides Pam, you've been sleeping around with Avory and I didn't say a word about that,"

Pam blushes and looks at the ground.

"Well, you did now." Pam muttered.

So whose story part did you like?
