"The Clarion Daily News reports that since Tony Stark admitted to being Iron Man, in just one month, he has dismantled six criminal organizations consecutively. Iron Man has become the idol of the masses, and Stark Group's stock prices have soared."

"In the past six months, crime rates in Gotham City have significantly decreased, leading to overcrowding in Arkham Asylum. Rumors suggest that Wayne Group might invest in an expansion."

"Front-line reporters report that Metropolis is preparing to launch a trial against Superman, but it remains uncertain whether Superman will attend."

"Mutant-related conflicts have recently escalated, and some members of Congress propose reviving the 'Mutant Registration Act.'..."

As Lynn pushed open the door, today's news played on the TV.

"What a messed up world..."

He barely noticed a faint twitch at the corner of his mouth as he walked towards Professor X's desk.

"Lynn, you're here?"

Professor X leaned back in his wheelchair, seemingly engrossed in listening to the news. Upon hearing the door open, he turned around and asked, "Ororo told me you wanted to talk to me. Is something wrong?"

In his deep eyes, there was a hint of concern, along with curiosity.

Lynn had been at Xavier School since he was eight years old, and now, it had been almost ten years.

In Professor X's memory, Lynn was an intelligent and diligent young man of Chinese descent. He possessed a rare calmness and humility not often seen among his peers. Lynn had always been focused on his studies and had never caused any trouble, which was quite unusual in a mutant academy full of troubled teenagers. That's why Professor X held a special fondness for him.

"Professor, I would like to apply for graduation"

Lynn took a seat without any pleasantries and got straight to the point.

Before, he had tried to avoid contact with Professor X out of fear that the latter's formidable telepathy would expose his inner secrets. However, that worry was now unnecessary.

Just yesterday, Lynn had finally acquired the BUFF of [Spiritual Immunity]. Yes, Lynn was a transmigrator, and his awakened ability was the power to create Magic.

He wasn't sure If it was a supernatural ability or a mutation of the X gene, but ever since he awakened at the age of eight, he could create one spell every day. He could then select one of these spells to keep in his repertoire.

Over the years, he had accumulated hundreds of spells, covering various categories such as elements, mind, space, and soul, leaving him virtually limitless in options. However, he wasn't complacent.

This world was truly terrifying, and he would not venture recklessly until he was confident in his own strength to protect himself adequately. Low-key development was the wisest path to take.

For this reason, most of the consistent spells he had chosen over the years were passive defensive ones. He had accumulated countless defensive magics like Super Physique, Thorned Armor, Earth Armor, etc., which he ultimately fused into a new spell called [Steel Body] half a month ago. Men had to be tough, after all.

Moreover, after mastering Occlumency, Mind Wall, Mind Shield, Truth Will, and other related mind abilities, his telepathic abilities had finally reached the level of [Spiritual Immunity].

Yesterday, for the first time, when he observed Professor X, the heart palpitations he usually felt had disappeared instantly. This undoubtedly meant that he could now block the mind scan of a formidable telepath like Professor X!

A sense of security washed over him all at once and so was the reason for today's conversation.

"Applying for graduation?" Professor X was a little surprised by the request and even more puzzled. "Aren't you interested in staying in the academy and joining the X-Men?"

"I'm not in the mood for that."

Lynn shook his head without hesitation.

The situation for mutants these days could only be described as miserable!

While the students at the academy lived a relatively normal life, being taught by the X-Men themselves, mutants outside were continuously persecuted, hunted, and displaced. Almost every student at the academy dreamt of becoming an X-Men member.

But not Lynn. He knew very well that both Magneto and Professor X would eventually fail. Following either of them would only lead to doom.

"Can you tell me why, Lynn?" Professor X's tone showed fluctuation.

The students at the academy were all mutant teenagers, and the focus of their education lay more in honing their superpowers. Due to a shortage of teachers, many subjects lacked depth in theoretical knowledge.

To solve the problem, Professor X equipped the school with the world's top library using his vast financial resources. He believed that mutants should not only master their powers but also gain knowledge in various fields.

Lynn was one of the few students who genuinely embraced this approach.

He even encouraged several other students to study with the same level of enthusiasm as the young prodigy, impressing the other students immensely.

Professor X was very pleased with this, and thus, he had high hopes for Lynn.

Although Lynn's X-gene potential wasn't particularly high, being a Delta-level mutant with no special abilities other than his brilliant intellect, he could still be a significant asset to the X-Men if he stayed at the academy.

Who could have imagined that such a promising student would now apply for graduation and leave the academy?

Moreover, it seemed like nobody had graduated from Xavier's school before?

"It's a simple reason, Professor."

Lynn was frank and forthright in his response, saying, "Because I believe the X-Men have no future, and your philosophy can't lead mutants to survival. In the end, they will inevitably perish"

Needless to say, these words cut deep into Professor X's heart.
