The Awakening

"Kendo , you mean so much to me. I would like to worship you everyday, honor you,build a shrine in your name and lie at your feet. Please let me be your servant" said Albedo. "Oh don't worry you can serve me forever my slave" Kendo retorted. " Wake up , wake up you lazy ass " shouted Albedo . "What !!, what!!" Kendo exclaimed and finally woke up. "Damn it all , it was a dream. But yet the best part of my life even if ain't real" Kendo said in his answered with a smug. "But that was necessary ...." and this isn't" said Albedo cutting Kendo short . " Today is the third day after the exam and you overslept, boy you are hopeless " said Albedo with a sad look . "You sure one to talk " Kendo said coyly. "What did you just say? You are dead " Albedo screamed. " I call a truce " Kendo with a swelled face squeaked.

"Alright , off you go and one more thing , I know u are supposed to show how good you are and all ain this test but please keep the damage real I mean REALLL low ", Albedo calmly said. "Oh God he has a look of death on his face" Kendo said in his mind.

Kendo headed to the academy afterwards and remembered he left something behind and went back to the house for it and saw Albedo fast asleep and went in to retrieve it. Whiles heading back he was tempted to strangle him but the heat he emanates whilst sleeping is unbearable for any normal human being. He literally changes the hay he sleeps on everyday because of that and nothing else is kept in his room. "Well am off again" Kendo said and left. He arrived in the academy 20 minutes after . When he arrived he was already late and Beldwin announced he was examining the A listers. "Thank Heavens, I made it" Kendo remarked. There he was again Chief Examiner Beldwin , a mage whose power is recognized as one of the best in the Meldin kingdom. Beldwin was explaining the test to them glancing at kendo who was approaching the group with a look that clearly said "You are late". Kendo joined them and he restarts the rules for his sake . Other examiners who were watching were disgusted by how Beldwin gave him equal attention as other students even though he is the son of the kingdom's greatest mistake. That was one of the reasons Kendo admired him. "If there are no further questions, let the test begin" Beldwin announced. Culin the braggart as usual rushed forward saying shouting he is the best around so he should begin this and show the losers referring to the rest of the group how it is done. Beldwin nodded to affirm it and Culin started. He made magic circles appear in his palm and touched the ground and just like in the previous test several rocks rode up and reshaped in the form of bullets and we're ready to be shot. Culin gave a smug and fired them simultaneously at Beldwin. Beldwin stood there and suddenly the earth beneath his feet shot up with him on it into the sky dodging the rocks shot at him. Culin got a little pissed and many more and began to shoot them at Beldwin who dodged them on the floating earth without breaking a sweat. This made Culin more angry and began to shoot more of them at Beldwin faster than initially whiles simultaneously running around him. Beldwin got bored of the attack and carefully calculated the next area Culin would pass whiles running around him and made a small rock stomp there , which Culin who was full of rage and not focussing on the road tripped and slammed face first into the ground breaking his nose. Beldwin said the the test was over and he passed. But Culin still shouted " It ain't over . I can still fight . Let's do this all over again" . Beldwin asked for the medics to hold him back and they did and someone used a magic circle which after it disappeared caused Culin to faint. He was taken away to be treated for his broken nose. Beldwin beckoned the next student. Orin the elf came forward trying to act all bold and brave but rather appeared scared to a near death experience. Orin made a stance and magic circles appeared in his palms and disappeared. He stretched his palm and a short but spear like rock shot with great speed towards Beldwin who caught it still whilst in the air. It was so fast even the examiners didn't see it coming and they were all surprised at how Beldwin easily caught it . They guessed by how much speed it was moving with it would surely possess at least some power but Beldwin did it like it was nothing at all. Orin became drowsy and Rosalia came forward to help him stand well. Beldwin asked him " If you could do this even if it leaves you in your current state why didn't you use it in the first test " . "When I use this I can't use magic for 3 days so I guess I couldn't take that chance" Orin answered sadly. " This was my chance and I blew it. I'm just foolish and weak " Orin said tearfully. Rosalia was about to take him to the medics but he refused saying he would stay and watch the rest. She agreed without hesitation. She told him she would solve this and quickly at that for their elven honor. "Look at that , once again she cleans my mess , I'm useless " Orin said with more tears streaming down his cheek. Maybe they were right he finally added . As Beldwin was cleaning Orin off the list to show he was disqualified Rosalia launched an attack out of nowhere towards Beldwin who managed to dodge the first strikes but Rosalia who was still running towards Beldwin with a deadly malice intent launched an attack of water dragons with incredible speed at him. Beldwin couldn't dodge all on time and got hit in the rib area injuring him. An annoyed Beldwin made a magic circle appear in his hand and disappeared , he stretched it and all of a sudden a gigantic hand rise up and held Rosalia who couldn't move an inch now. She still had a look of malice in her eyes. Beldwin simply shook his head and told her it wasn't her turn yet so she shouldn't have attacked him without permission and passed her and let her go. "Damned Beldwin he's doing it again. He's letting the student have their way She could have been sacked immediately for what she just did if he made it sound like what really happened and that is the girl wanted to kill him as revenge or something. I'm sure he saw potential in her and that's why he did this . Who am I to oppose him in the first place? I'll just watch quietly from here" remarked an examiner to himself. " To care for his injuries he left the rest of the test to another examiner. The examiner who came in his place was the 2nd deputy chief examiner Maximoff Bolken. He beckoned the next student to approach him for the test and the blue haired girl Lisa came forward. "Don't worry little girl , I won't hurt you.Just try your best . You can go all out it won't hurt me." He coyly said . Before the other examiners could warn him . BOOM . Blue fire shot from Lisa hand but before it could hit him the 1st Deputy used magic to create 8 layers of water ( a great protection magic spell )which lined his body to protect him but the blue fire burned through them and him in an instant. He fell to the ground burnt to a crisp . Luckily for him the water spell didn't just protect him it created an aura to boost his healing also hence it was a close shave from death. The medics rushed to him using all sorts of healing spells on him to keep him alive .Other examiners praised her for her strength and an examiner took the list and passed her at once saying she is one of the strongest students the academy has ever received. Kendo was surprised to hear this from them . In his mind they nearly lost a mate of theirs and they are praising the person who is responsible for it. His killing instinct was rising but he remembered Albedo's words and cooled off. The 1st Deputy Chief Examiner called him forward saying she would be the examiner for his test . "Get over you filthy rat. Vermin like you shouldn't even be here . I can't believe I'm wasting my time on you. You and your filthy father can just go to hell. " she shouted angrily. Suddenly Kendo's face changed to a dark look and he began to step forward but once again he remembered Albedo's words to him as a child. "Kendo always remember, don't let your rage control you . Be your own man . Take actions when you are yourself or you would regret whatever you do after because IM GONNA BEAT YOUR ASS after whatever you do. Kendo smiled and came back to normal. "Begin" the 1st Deputy shouted . Before Kendo could even think of what to do she shot water slashes against him he dodged gracefully and this made her angrier she began to shoot them furiously in any direction in an attempt to hit Kendo who continuously dodged she included water arrows and shot in all directions regardless of both teachers and students around. One stray arrow was heading towards the elf Orin. Kendo sped over quickly and took the arrow with his body . He calmly looked over at Orin and said " I'm sorry for bringing you into this .As atonement I'll use my blood" . With that the arrow disappeared. He looked over at the 1st Deputy and began approaching her. She felt chilly all of a sudden and a swarm of fear enveloped her . She looked at him whilst shaking and slowly stepped back . "Your problem was with me and my father even though I have no idea what we did you disrespected me and tried to kill me.I believed we had wronged you and so I didn't retaliate.But you included innocent bystanders your own students who had no part in this . That was your mistake " - Kendo .

He rose his head up and looked at her .She saw the look in his eyes that malice she wanted to run but she was frozen on the spot , scared if she moved she would die. Kendo's right hand from the elbow down suddenly transformed into a structure that could only be called a demon's hand. He lifted his hand and a large magic circle circle appeared beneath her the deputy's feet and charged to fire . She instantly formed a 20 layer of water magic( highest water protection barrier in the world) around her and as soon as she finished the spell fire shot out from the circle like an erupting volcano destroyed her barrier by simply burning through it and burnt her all the way through the sky. She dropped onto the ground with a huge thud as the fire went down . "That's one, don't you die on me yet " - Kendo
