Your in a dark green forest the sun is just setting with its usally orange glow in the background

As your walking through the forest you here a baby crying your wondering why there would be a baby in this forest as this froest is one of the most dangerous forest in all of the kingdom of glacius and the surrounding kingdomth

you walk closer and closer the crying baby and as your peer throu a clearing you see a wolf eating a mans corpse it seems this man is an adventurer you look a little forther and you see a wrecked carraige down a slop

you decide to scare of the wolf by blowing a little bit of wind magic at it you aim for just to the right of the wolf and dirt goes up into the air scaring of the wolf as you approach the mans body you hear the crying again so you approach the crying coming from the wrecked carraige you see a blanket cluched in a womens arms and as you peer deeper into the carriage you see the baby in the blanket being cleched by the women

you and the baby stare at each other for a few seconds and then the baby reaches out to you and grabs your thumb you feel a warm feeling run through out your entire body

after starring into space for a minute you pick up the baby and bring him home to your at that time wife

" Melinda im home "

" Merlin finnaly your home your were suppose to be back almost an hour ago"

Melinda is a five foot eight inchies tall pearlish white women about in her mid fifties with black hair

As melinda walks into the entry way from the hallway she see's the baby in merlins arms a shocked face come across her face

" I know melinda i know let me explain before you say anything "

Melinda has both a worried and shocked face showing as she thinks about where this baby came from

Merlin says " on my way home throu the Mellowthorn forest i heard a baby crying and i followed the cries and after a few minutes of walking i came upon a wrecked carraige and a adventures body being eaten by a wolf so i scared it off and went closer to the carraige and found this baby in what seem to be it's mothers arms and then came staright here "

Melinda spoke in a sad tone " oh the poor thing loosing it's mother like that "

As melinda finished her sentence the baby started to cry

" what's wrong why is he crying again "

" dunce he's probally hungry ir needs to be changes give him to me you big oaf "

" here you dont got to be so mean about it it's not like we've ever had a child before nor even taken care of a baby

" be queit stop complaining and go get some milk "

" milk milk were do you want me to go get some milk "

" I dont know but you better figure out how cause we cant feed him hole food and i aint making any breadt milk so go get some so the poor thing can eat "

Merlin leaves the two story wooden house and head's back into the mellowthorn forest

Merlin looks around for a few minutes when he gets lucky and runs into a trader he flags down the trader and begins talking to him

" Hello my names merlin and i was wondering if you possibly have any milk with you that i could possibly buy "

" hm milk i might have some in my personal supply but sonce its apart of my personal items it will cost extra "

Merlin shakes his head in approval the merchant ducks back into his carriage and after a few seconds of hearing things hit each other and making noise the merchant reappears

" here you go its still really fresh thanks to that new magic device that keeps things cold i think they called it a refrigerator ? "

little did the merchant know melinda merlins wife was the one who created that device it uses a magic stone to constantly cast ice magic to keep the items stored inside cold

" so how much extra will this be only an extra 50 copper "

" fiffty copper your really going to charge me the price of two bottles of milk "

" Hey it's not like i was transporting milk i quit like milk and now i only have one more bottle for this journey and its going to be another five days till i reach my destination "

its not like merlin couldnt aford it but to most people one bronze is two days worth of work

the currency in this world goes 100 copper equals one bronze and one hundred bronze equals 1 silver and one hundred silver equals 1 gold which most common people wont even make in a year as bread only cost five copper

Armine take's of in his catraige deep into the forest on the dirt road

ok time to get home hopefully melinda isnt to mad with how long im taking let me use wind magic to get home a little faster

Merlin arrives home and he can already see that melinda is mad for how long he took so he quickly dashed gave her the milk and ran up the stairs to his bedroom as soon as he got to his room he heard melinda shout " merlin ill deal with you later " after a few minutes merlin heard the crying start to stop he peered out of his room and saw that the hallway was empty so he proceeded to head down stairs to see melinda sitting at the kitchen table holding the baby in her arms feed him with a makeshift bottle

Merlin says " i see he's finnaly calming down "

" yes no thanks to you though "

" what im the one that rushed back into that dangerous forest to be lucky enough to find a merchant that hand milk on him "

" Dangerous then why are you hailed as the kingdoms strongest mage i guess that title dosent mean anything "

"why you this is why your a single old hag "

Merlin hangs his head in defeat as he heard these words

" fine you win you old hag now make me something to eat im getting hungry "

" feed yourself im taking care of the baby "

" but im hungry and i cant cook " merlin puts on a sad and pouting face

" stop doing that that face dosent look good on a sixtie year old man whos the strongest in the kingdom "

Merlin once again hangs his head in defeat as this really wasnt befitting him and his status

" But fine ill make dinner im starting to get hungry to here take the baby and keep feeding him

" ok " Merlin replies

Melinda stamds up and hands merlin the baby

she starts to cook and a half hour later she comes into the dinning room with a pot full of curry

" here eat and stop compalinign and give me the baby back "

merlin carefully hands over the sleeping baby and melinda heads up stairs where she had created a magic trinket that when activated it forms into a crib and automatically rocks she lays the baby down and heads back down to merlin

" This curry is quit delicous melinda "

" of course it is it was made by the great me "

melinda sits down and eats with merlin they talk and finish dinner and then both of them head upstairs to bed
