The big problem was the mechanism not working in synchrony, so the runic blacksmith has to send mana directly to specific points in the tool and table at the same time.
At first, was hard for Gremory, but soon he realized that was still manageable and spent the next days creating the tools needed. The runic blacksmith tools need to also be self-made, to have a complete understanding of his mechanism, since it varies from rune to rune, even when using the same concept. So a tool of another runic blacksmith can't be used by Gremory if he doesn't know exactly how it will perform.
Morning after morning, he started to arrive early in the forge, earlier than most runic blacksmiths there. Tool after tool, failure after failure, luckily for him, metal was very abundant there and Nogand didn't mind since his forge is not very busy anyways.
