It all started in the year 2015, when humans finally reached mars with thier rovers with the hopes of colonizing it in a few years but ended up discovering alien technology far greater than thier own there.

For the first time ever, humans had strong proof and evidence that they are not alone in the seemingly infinitely big universe.

However, while they were trying to bring that alien tech on earth, a gate was opened to another universe by mistake.

It made Humanity realise two things, one that they are not alone not only in the universe but an even bigger multiverse waiting to be explored, and second that... they are weak.

There are alien species exploring multiverse but humans on the other hand can't even go out of thier own planet without using almost all the best resources they had.

The very next year, 2016, an alien spaceship arrived on earth and made the famous announcement that... "PLANETS WITH NO INBORN LIFE BELONG TO THE UNIVERSAL COUNICIL"

Soon after that, a treaty was signed and earth was given to Humans as well as the rule book of the universe stating that planets like mars could be purchased from the Universal Counsil if the price was paid correctly.

However, even all the money on earth was not enough to buy a spaceship, much less a planet even though it was so near... yet far so distant.

However, these 2 back to back grand turn of events certainly pushed humanity to its limits as they started re-engineering the alien tech they found with everything they have.

Finally, in year 2020, humanity finally managed to take a step and learned how to use the multiverse device, through they were yet to decode a single wire worth of it.

It was just like how majority of humans uses tech like even mobile phone without knowing how it was made or even how it works on inside, but they still benefits greatly from it.

Ever since that day, humanity started exploring universes other than thier own, as they travel to another Universe and started bringing back treasure which was just seen in fantasy, sci-fi or such fictional works.

However, even through humans travel through the multiverse, it wasn't so easy to do so, as almost 90 to 99 percent never make it back alive, if not more... Not to mention other restrictions which came with it.

"Well, that's it for now, make sure to read about all the restrictions and such on your way, you won't have much time to prepare after the surgery after all," The women in the military uniform said so.

Her name was Major Amara Winterfrost, a member of the Winterfrost Family, one of the 13 houses which has been given the title of noble.

They were given so, because of the ability the first member of that family bring to human race from a fantasy universe, A Frost Domain, through the information about it is classified and not known to many.

Right now, only 4 people on earth have this ability and one of those is right in front of me, the women with silver hair in the military uniform, Major Amara Winterfrost.

It has been 25 years since the multiverse exploration started and only 13 people has been able to claim the title of nobles and made houses for themselves.

The head of all these houses, are those people who have travelled through the multiverse atleast once and have survived it and managed to kill thier counterpart in that universe.

However, even they have rankings and the difference in top 3 and last 10 is said to be vast, with the top 3 heads being part of military structure too.

"She is lucky, all she did was be born with the ability, while we are here risking our life, and don't even know if we will get anything or not even if she don't die."

Someone in the back said as I just ignored him and focused on the tablet in my hand and started re-reading all the things again, just to make sure I don't miss anything.

Even though I agree with that statement the guy in the back made, it is not time to focus on it yet as a single slip up could close my chapter called life in some unknown universe far from my own.

Right now, we were on our way towards the place where the device is kept that will open the gate to another universe for us and I, Evan, am the part of one of the people who will be travelling to another universe.

What's our mission in that universe? What we have to do? The experience of the past survivors, everything was in here and I have to make sure that I absorb as this only way, I can get what I have always wanted.

"Do you think we'll survive, Evan?" The boy beside me asked, through he tried appeared to be casual, I know that he was as afraid as I was, if not even more than me.

"Of course Max, we will, and after this, we will finally be free," I said to him, not even knowing that wheather will we be truly free or not, it was after all just a promise made and nothing else.

Well, we should think about surviving this first, who knows how long it might take for us to return? So we should focus on what's right ahead of us now.

"Yea, after surviving this, we will finally be able to do anything we wanted, I'll be able to finally see the world and you too Evan, you will also be able to get everything you wants. Am I right?"

Max said as I nods, though the way he said that sounded a little ambitious.

As for what do I wants? Its nothing complicated, all I want is rights equal to a normal human, so does a life which I deserve, a family and lastly, power to get all that.

And there is only one way to get it all, through the gate and so, I'll get it, thats what my goal is.

"Oh, we are here," Max said as the doors opened up of the vehicle, which we don't even know was a flying one or not. No one even bothered telling us about it.

"Everyone, Make sure to stick close, you are now at the safest place on the planet, but also the most dangerous one of you don't know how to behave." Major Amara said as she stepped out of the opened door followed by everyone seated beside me and Max.

"Batch AF-51 here," Major Amara said as she stepped aside and showed her I'd to the soldier present with gun whose eyes twitched a little at our presence and at the mention of our batch but he still nods and then looked towards us.

"Stand in line," he said coldly, as if he hates us to his very core but everyone including me was used to such treatments so we did just as he asked as to and we made the lines going at our place in the formation just like the hundreds of time before we have done so.

Suddenly, cameras appeared on the top us as green rays scan us from head to toe before the disappeared in the ceiling again, it was startling to the the least but no one dare move a muscle and just waited.

Soon, the watch of the soldier ringed a little as he looked at it for a moment before stepping aside.

"You may proceed." He said stepping aside as everyone started walking again ignoring the looks that could murder that the soldier was giving us.

"This place is really enormous," Max, who was beside me said so as I too nods looking at the state of art facility, which is famous throughout earth for its alien defence systems.

"Of course, it is said that it take humans 20 years to collect enough UC (Universal Currency / Coins) to buy the defence system here from another galaxy, through its not the best in the Universe."

"Yea, but it's still better than any defence system humans could develop in next thousand years, right?"

"Of course, if you look at it that way, but it's certainly a waste of all the UC, isn't it? Those could have solved many humanity problems like poverty, unemployed, diseases."

"Hey, that problems will eventually be fixed with time, it's a lot better to spend them in doing something better for the species at a universal level?"

"Universal? Don't joke max, Those at the top can't travel to other universe due to the age limit of 20, so all they want is a group of strong people they can use to earn more UC and buy that Life Extention Serums they love so much."

"Well, I can't deny that... That's why I'll choose to be with one of the noble houses if possible, the other two factions are not my thing."

As I was about to reply to Max, everyone came to sudden stop causing me to hold my breath due to the sight in front of me.

Thousands of people in doctor clothes were running around and even more people were there in patient clothes waiting for thier turns to get thier surgery or already had thier surgery performed.

"Your turn will be up in 15 minutes, wait here till the nurse came to pick you guys up. We will meet again if any of you managed to survive." Major Amara said before she looked towards us.

Putting her fist on her chest near her heart, "Glory to Mankind." She said followed by everyone including me.

A/N:- Author here, tbh, I don't know what am going to do with this work, I have really no idea what's gonna happen even in next chap so I'll just go with the flow. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask, I'll try to answer with the best of my abilities.

As for the schedule, I won't have any atleast till new year, busy times right now, so I'll just write whenever I felt like it till then.
