To this day, they hadn't even finalized the terms that they wanted to agree upon in addition to those they wished to change. But it's for a fact that the contract was already in effect. That was the understanding that the two had. Still and all, Konrad didn't feel the need to control Syn's everyday life. The man believed that it would be best if they both have the liberty over their private lives, sharing merely a piece of it to each other. 

Be that as it may, Konrad was slightly bothered about who Syn was talking to. It was easy to ignore his urge to ask, yet his curiosity only grew by the second. The nuisance that the unwelcomed aggressors had given him vanished the moment that he saw her face. Hence, out of respect and gratitude, the man chose to keep his reticence. He just motioned for his guards to get a move on so they could depart right away.
