The Death Warrant was not just a normal treasure. It was considered one of the many deadly treasures. However, it was mostly useless at rank 1 and almost had no value. But, its value would keep on increasing with every increasing rank.

But the lifespan it consumed also kept on increasing with higher ranks. However, the massacre it could produce was beyond imagination if it advanced to higher levels. What was more impressive was that the more it killed, the stronger it would become. It was a double edge sword and was considered worthless. After all, by the time it advances to the higher ranks, the owner would already be dead because of lifespan consumption.

Nevertheless, it would still be protected as to not let it get into the wrong hands. However, someone wanted to steal the Death Warrant tonight.

A man wearing a veil on his face cut the neck of a cultivator from behind. The cultivator could not scream as his face was covered by the hand of the man. After a while, the cultivator fell down to the ground and died.

The knife that the man was using was made of a very sharp rock. It was of a high rank.

The man kept on moving forward and killed everyone who came his way. It could be seen that the man was very powerful compared to the cultivators that he killed.

After a while, the man arrived in front of a gate. On the gate was written, "Return If You Value Your Life".

"Hmm, if I valued my life, I would not have come here to take the Death Warrant." the man grumbled with a sinister smile.

The man pulled out something and placed it on the gate. When he did that, the gate opened slowly and a dark place appeared in front of him.

The man entered the dark place and disappeared into the darkness.

Meanwhile,

"Brother, what do you think about this?" Zihao De asked the clan leader.

"Nothing, I am thinking of doing nothing at all. Let him do whatever he wants to do." Tai Qi replies with a calm face.

"Are you sure about this?" Zihao De did not understand and asked with narrowed eyes.

"Yes, I am. Why should I fight with him for a traitor who betrayed me? But, we can let him steal whatever he wants. He won't steal anything that is valuable to the clan and to me, I am sure he realized that we already know about him. However, he is still going at it. He will only steal something that can be helpful to him. And, won't this benefit us?" Tai Qi said with a confident smile.

The man came in front of a shelf. On the shelf were placed many things, but the man was not interested in them. He looked at a black spider and it was four inches long. This spider had dark black eyes and was silent like a rock. It did not move and looked like it was lifeless.

It was the Death Warrant that Yang Zhai was after. It was a treasure and one of its kind. Treasures were mostly used for defense and over a few were for other purposes and were rare, the Death Warrant was one such type.

The man picked up the spider and examined it.

"Now you will know the meaning of pain, Ma Wan Liu." The man muttered. An extreme hatred was present in the words spoken by the man.

The man left after picking up the spider.

"Cu Gil, don't disappoint me. I hope you create a massacre worth watching. Your revenge should shake the whole Ma clan, haha."

A red glint appeared in Tai Qi's eyes when he said this. He even laughed in a low voice at the end, as if he was the one who succeeded when the spider was stolen.

The man removed the veil from his face. He was standing in the woods. The man who stole the Death Warrant was Cu Gil.

"Get ready, Ma Wan Liu. You might have thought that I would attack you, right? But that's not going to happen, I will make sure you regret what you did. I know my limits and that I will die in just a minute if I go against you." Cu Gil murmured.

He looked back at the Bai village one last time and left.

When he looked at the village, regret had appeared in his eyes.

"I am sure Cu Gil wants to create a massacre at the Ma clan to take his revenge. But first, he will have to make the Death Warrant strong enough to create a massacre. This is good for us as well.
