The will of fire

A week has passed since I went beserk, and no one has mentioned on what happened. I was worried that they would see me as a monster, and would chase me off.

But that's not what happaned, both Ilia and Sienna were calm, but Blake would wake up crying, so I had to stay up late in order to help her sleep.

I asked them if they remembered what happened when, but they all saw that it was Grimm that attacked them.

I was confused on what had happened since that day, but my mother stayed silent and didn't come out.

However, another family member appeared and told me that she is having some time to herself.

I was worried about her after she took over, but what she said got me curious on what has happened to me when I was younger.

I couldn't do anything now since she didn't want to talk, so I kept training with Sienna and Ilia.

Blake was also training, but she would focus more on agility by climbing trees and dodging.

As for the Faunus slaves we freed, they gave us thanks and left us. I didn't want them to face other humans who could capture them, or Grimm.

So I had a few of my family memebers from my mothers generation to protect them, they gladly left to help the Faunus and soon left us alone.

After a few minutes of training with Sienna, the two of us stood still with our hands raised, and our feet apart.

"Remember, always have your guard raised and use your senses to help you." She said, she then knelt down and grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it at my face.

I was slow to close my eyes and some of it landed in my eyes, since I was blinded, I had to use my ears to listen.

I raised my ears and moved them in each direction, one of my ears twitched, hearing the sound of cloathes rustling, and the wind being parted, I rolled to the side and heard the sound of feet on the floor.

"Good, keep listening." I did as she instructed and soon leaned to the side, I heard the wind rustle pass and I jumped backwards.

From where I was, I heard the sound of a whip being cracked. Know what is coming, I quickly covered my entire body with my tails.

"Not bad, using your tails as cover, but it's not enough!" She cracked her whip towards me, with three wooden knives attracted to the end.

But they harmlessly bounced off me, this made Sienna surprised, but she shook it off and launched her whip at me again.

Like last time, it bounced off me fur. While she was distracted, I took the chance to rub my eyes to remove the dirt.

I blinked a few times to make sure I could see fine, once clear, I turned my body and grabbed a few stones underneath me and had my tails sweep the ground.

"Improvised smoke screen, not effective when your tails expose you." Sienna disapproved of my actions and tried to look for me.

But after looking around she couldn't see my tails of my hair, she began to take light steps to sneak to where I was, but a stone flew out of no where and hit her on the shoulder.

"What?" Another then flew at her from the right and left, the two stones hit their mark and small bruises began to appear on her body.

"How are you doing this?" She growled, but the only answer she received was a stone to the forehead.

"Alright, enough already!" She shouted, as the dust settled, she saw me on the tree that was around us.

While in my hand were the stones I grabbed from the floor. I laughed at what happened and nearly fell, but my tails grabbed the branch and I was hanging upside down.

"That's it you little shit!" Sienna cracked her whip towards me, but my tails pulled me up, barely getting hit:

"Sorry, it's just that, I just wanted a good laugh."I replied and jumped onto another branch, avoiding her whip, the branch I was on broke from the force and fell into the floor.

"Why don't you laugh after I beat you?!" She screamed, and we spent the next few minutes of me avoiding her whips.

Once Sienna calmed down, I jumped in front of her with a smile on my face. I had sweat running down my face and back, but I was breathing normal.

"H-how are you not tired?" She asked while panting, I just shrugged my head and began to pat my tails.

"I don't know, guess I'm different." I said nonchanatly, Sienna just sighed and shook her head.

"I swear, every since we saw those humans die, you've been acting different." What she said made me silent, she wasn't wrong.

But she was wrong about one thing, I was the one that killed them. In a blinding rage, their blood is on my hands, and yet, I'm acting like nothing happened.

I feel more optimistic and saw things in a better light, but in reality, it was to hide the trauma was facing.

I killed not one, not two, but multiple people, humans to be exact. I used to be human, but the fact that I'm a Faunus and I killed, it was something I'm trying to bury.

But during the week, I keep walking up from the nightmare. I could see myself murdering them, tearing their flesh.

And I enjoyed it, every time, I smile, I laugh, I could feel happy. This scares me to this day, and I have to figure out what the hell is wrong with me.

"Well, I guess seeing those humans die, made me have nightmares." Sienna looked at me with concern and sighed.

She soon sat up and sat next to me and placed my head on her chest, whilst playing with my hair.

"Can't blame you for that, your still a kid, seeing people die in front of you is something to get used to." I just stayed silent, hearing her heart beat pounding against her chest.

I felt safe when I heard it, a soothing melody was all I heard. After the short break, Sienna pulled back and made her way towards her bag.

"Here, there's a lake down the left, don't take too long." I nodded my head and began to walk towards the lake, once I was far from ear shot, I finally spoke.

"Mom, how long are you going to hide?" The only sound i heard was the sound of birds, and my footsteps.

But I soon felt her appearing behind me, she had her head lowered, but she spoke with a hollowed voice, and her eyes were lifeless.

"I don't wish to remember about it." She said, hearing her say that I wanted to pry the information, I wanted to order her, but I couldn't.

If I did that, I'd be acting like the humans who treated us like slaves, I just sighed and kept walking towards the lake.

Seeing how I stopped trying to pry the information, she smiled at what I did and walked along side me. She began to hum a tune that I didn't know, but it was comfortable.

Once we arrived at the lake, I took off my clothes and dipped into the water and sighed at how comfortable it is.

As I relaxed in the lake, I decided to try to use my fire, and to do so, I have to ask my mother to help me.

"Mom, can you teach me how to use my flame?" She nodded her head and began to walk on water, but looking closer, I could see a thin platform underneath her foot.

She was creating stepping stones for herself to walk, once she stood in front of me, she sat down and smiled.

"The fire we use is much stronger than normal fire." She said and held out her left hand, and a small blue fire hovered above her hand.

"It represents our will to burn those we deem as an enemy, but to our ally's, they heal and rejuvenate them." She pushed the flame in my direction, once it made contact with me, it dispersed and covered my body.

Once it finished, it disappeared and I I felt my energy return. I nodded my head and held one of my hands and stared at it,

"But, I tried to summon my flame, but nothing came out." I said, she giggled at my words and placed her hand on mine.

"That's because you don't imagine it, you can't force the fire to come out, you must guide it." She then made her flame wrap around herself.

Seeing her do that, I sighed and closed my eyes. Once I closed them, I began to imagine myself in a dark room.

I light, no sound, and no distraction, I began to call out to the fire, trying to find it in the darkness. But no matter how long I tried to look, all I kept seeing is the darkness.

After half an hour of trying to find the flame, I saw a small blue dot. Looking at it, I could see the dot getting bigger and bigger.

It was flying towards me at rapid speeds like a bullet fired from a gun, but when it arrived; it instantly stopped in front of me.

Parts of the flames passed by me, and the darkness disappeared. The only thing that was between the two of us was the gap of air.

I slowly extended my hand and placed my palm on the flame. It shuddered at my touch, but it soon wrapped itself around me.

It was warm and comforting, like I had a companion alongside me. As I opened my eyes, I could see my entire body on fire, but I didn't panic.

The water that was surrounding me was pushed back, and evaporating at a face pace. I moved my arms and hands in a fluid motion and the flames detached itself from me and began to dance around me.

My lother was smiling at what I was doing and used one of her tails to throw a branch towards me.

While I was observing the flames, I felt something in the back of my mind speak to me.

'Danger, cut.' My arm streatched to the side and I swung my hand in a downward motion, cutting the branch in half.

"That's it, now slowly put it out." Said my mother, I began to breath deeply and guided the flames to die down.

It resisted at first, wanting to burn everything around me, but when I tried again, it listened to my guidance and slowly died down.

Once it disappeared, the water rushed back to me, but it was boiling hot when it touched my skin, yet it felt nice.

While the water was boiling, it felt like it was a nice warm bath. Sure this would give others a burn mark, but to me, it was something that I could get used to.

"Now that you summoned your flame, it's best if I teach you how to create things with it." She said and held out her hand.

She placed her two palms together and began to pull them apart, while she did that, she made them move in a half circle.

Her flames soon created her signature weapon, I was curious on how she was able to do so, but I had an idea.

"When you create items, you imagine what you want, then you mold the flames like clay." She said and showed of her chakras.

I summoned a bit of my fire at first and imagined a sphere, the tip of the flame that rose slowly went down, smoothing itself until a sphere was in my hand.

"Good, now try a cube." I nodded my head at what she said, I looked at the sphere in my hands and imagined a cube, I slowly began to mold the flames.

But when it came to making the corners, it was harder to mold it. Not only was I creating a third dimension object, I had to keep imagining the shape.

It was like holding the illusion back in the city, but I wasn't forcing myself to keep it up. After a few more seconds, I finished forming the cube.

I wanted to celebrate my accomplishment but it began to warble, I was about to try and keep my focus again, but it soon bursted like a mini bomb.

The force wasn't strong enough to harm me, but it was enough to make the water get pushed back.

"Now now, just because you can form a cube, dosent mean you can't lose concentration, once you can form the cube with ease, you'll be able to continue on the next step." I smiled at her words and continued to practice on molding my flame.

Once I spent enough time, I finished bathing and dried myself with my flames. Since I had my flames covers my body, it was easier to control than forming something.

I soon made my way back to camp and began to get ready to sleep, we all had a nice dinner thanks to Ilia, who kept staring at me most of the time.

"Ilia, do you need something?" I asked politely, but her skin turned pink and she became flustered.

"N-no, sorry about that, goodnight." She said and entered her tent, once we all finished and disposed of the makeshift bowls, we all entered our tents to sleep.

As we all slept, the sound of footsteps were heard, and a group of humans surrounded our camp.

"You sure you saw the nine tailed freak?" Whispered one of them.

"Yeah, if we get him and the three lady's, the boss will be glad, imagine how much lien we can get for selling the boy." The rest of them murmured silently and agreed.

"Alright, remember, quick and quiet."
