Bandits are Neanderthals, prove me wrong

As I was convertible sleeping, I was jolted awake when I landed in something rough. I quickly sat up and looked around me.

I found myself in a small cage, while Sienna, Blake, and Ilia were in another cage. Blake was silently crying and held onto both Ilia and Sienna.

Sienna glared at our captors, who were just grinning and laughing at our situation, I wanted to ask my mother on why she didn't tell us, but she responded before I could ask.

'Don't worry, they don't mean harm to you or the others, but I will not help.' This made me confused on why she didn't defend us.

'Mom, why didn't you tell us if you knew they wouldn't harm us?' I asked her, she didn't answer at first, but she soon replied.

'You need to face everything yourself, if you rely on us to fight your battles, you will never grow.' I wanted to argue with her, but she had a point.

If some of the enemy's got passed my family, I would be defenseless. I didn't have much experience for a real battle, so I had to use my own skills.

'Since you can't help me get out, can you at least scan the area?' She stayed silent again at my question.

'Make an illusion to show that you are alone, then I'll scan the area.' I quickly crossed my legs and closed my eyes and began to imagine the scenario.

Once it was done, I stayed still for a few seconds, waiting for her to leave and scan the area.

I heard small footsteps leave me, and I knew she had already left to explore our location. Once I dropped the illusion, I turned towards the girls and placed my hands on the bars.

"Aiko, I'm scared, I want mom." She silently sobbed, Sienna looked away from the humans and started to comfort Blake.

"It's okay, we'll get out of this." The two humans began to laugh at us, and one of them slammed their weapon at the bars.

Blake screamed in fear, while Sienna and Ilia glared at the human. I also glared at him, but he didn't even care.

"Shut up, your just freaks, animals to be killed!" Before he could continue, the tent door flapped open, and came in a woman.

She had black hair that reached her knees, and black high boots, she wore a red shirt and in her hand was a katana.

"Shay, what did I tell you on messing with the merchandise?" Said the woman, the man now named Shay moved back and looked away.

"Sorry boss, b-but you kno-." Before he could continue, the woman drew her sword and aimed it at his throat.

"Leave." The two guards soon left us; and the woman knelt in front of me, she soon removed her mask, and I saw her red eyes staring at me.

"You are an interesting Faunus, I almost feel sorry for selling you, almost." She emphasized the last word, and I wanted to just run up to her and claw at her face.

But I couldn't do anything in this situation, so I stayed silent and glared at her. She smirked at my glare and stood back up.

"You know, I could have you join my tribe, you can train under me, and no one will lock you up again." I just narrowed my eyes and looked away.

"You filthy human, let us go!" Sienna shouted, but the woman ignored her and kept staring at me.

"What do you say kid, you want to be strong? To show the survive and the weak die?" She asked, but I just turned away from her.

"Fine, then don't blame me for being weak." She said and left us in the tent, the two men from before soon entered and grinned at Sienna and Ilia.

"So, you take the big one, I take the kid?" Shay looked at the man in disappointment and shook his head.

"Sorry Jackson, we can't touch the merch, you know how mad the boss gets." The now named Jackson sighed and scratched his head.

"Yeah, I remember, I don't want to get my ass beaten from Vernal." Shay nodded his head and grinned.

"This is why I'm the smart one." Jackson then looked at him in anger.

"Well at least I don't get my ass handed to me at every raid." Jackson refuted, Shay wanted to make a comeback, but he lowered his finger.

"Shit your right, w-well at least I don't have schizophrenia!" My ear twitched at what he said, and an idea began to form in my mind.

"Shut up, we didn't raid a village in a while, so I can't find any meds!" While the two argued, I began to use my illusions again.

As the two argued, I made the sound of a kid laughing, but only Jackson would hear it, he just shook his head and groaned.

"Damnit, I was hoping the last village we raided had any meds, and now I'm hearing things again." While Jackson was groaning, I placed Shay in the same illusion.

"Shhh, did you hear that?" Jackson just looked around and looked at Shay in confusion.

"You hear it as well?" Shay only raised his hand to look around, and the two began to

"It sounds like…..a kid laughing?" This is when I had Jackson enter the illusion as well. As he heard the kid laughing, he looked around to find the noise.

"Y-your right, but there's only the two brats, one teen, and one adult, there's no one else." He said with a worried voice, Jackson then sighed and wrapped his arm around Shay.

"C'mon, I'll help you get through this." The two of them left the four of us, giving us the chance to talk.

"Aiko, was that you're doing?" I nodded my head and soon, my mother returned.

"Good news, it's a small camp, even better news, they aren't that well trained." She said, while she spoke, both Ilia and Blake looked at her in shock.

"Aiko, is that your semblance?" Ilia asked me, I nodded my head and looked at Blake.

"This is my semblance, I don't know what to call it." I lied to them, they were curious to name it, but were brought back when Sienna coughed.

"For now, it's best if we figure out how to get out, Ilia, do you still have that kit you received?" Ilia dug her hand in her back pocket, and she pulled out a small lock pick.

"How did you have that?" I asked, Ilia flashed a quick smile and began to pick the lock.

"They only took our bags and weapons, they didn't bother checking our pockets, pretty stupid if you ask me." She whispered, the sound of the lock clicked, and she slowly pushed the door open.

Once she got out, she rushed towards my cell and began to pick the locks. Sienna then rushed towards my cell and began to check in me.

"Aiko, are you alright, you're not hurt?" I moved my body, not feeling any discomfort or pain.

"How were they able to capture us?" Whispered Blake, Sienna frowned at her question, but soon began to sniff.

"That smell." This made the rest of, except for Ilia, to sniff the air. Sienna then scowled and looked to the side.

"They used gas bombs." She said with a scowl, we all looked to the side and saw multiple cylindrical bombs, all covered with holes.

"But how? We could have heard them setting them off." Ilia said while opening the door.

"They must have someone with a soundproof semblance to cancel the noise." Sienna guessed, I had to agree, that was smart in a way.

"But that doesn't matter, we need our weapons and supplies, if we can cause some damage, that's better." She said while peeking through the flaps.

"Aiko, I need you to use your semblance to scout the area." I did as I was told and summoned more family members to scout the area.

All of them left quietly and disappeared in front of our eyes, after a few minutes, they all came back and found where our supplies are.

"Alright, like always, keep close." As we snuck out of the tent, I used my illusion to hide us, making us invisible to others.

Sienna was the one leading us through the camp and would stop us to let the bandit's pass. But not even a few seconds have passed, the guards that were with us rushed forward.

"Boss, the merchandise escaped!" The woman from before had her face hidden beneath the mask, but her voice and body showed how furious she is.

"Damnit, I can't even take my eyes off you for ten minutes. Lock down the entrance and search for the boy!" All the bandits began to run around, searching for me.

"This made our escape much more difficult." Sienna muttered; the bandits had passed us multiple times.

But they didn't see us thanks to my illusion, once we reached the supply tent, we all looked for our belongings, while also looting extras for the road.

You know what they say, an eye for an eye, they tried to rob us, we'll rob them. Once done, we all made our way out, but this time I had to do something.

"Sienna, I don't think we can all get out if they are looking for me." I said, Sienna's face show determination, but her eyes showed her true emotions.

"Nonsense, we're getting out." I shook my head and placed my hand in her arm.

"We all know they'll focus on me, you guys get out first." Before they could say anything, I snuck off and began to hatch a plan.

'Son, what you are about to do is reckless, yet mischievous, I support you all the way.' I smiled at what she said and began to tell the rest of my family that will listene to me.

POV 3RD

As the camp scrambled to find the boy, one of them spotted him running past. She quickly followed him, and called the rest of her companions.

But another voice was heard, saying they found him, only this time he was across the camp. Multiple voices ran through the entire camp, claiming to see the boy.

They were confused and started to grow furious, they began to argue with one another, all they needed was one, last, push.

"I saw him running to your tent!" Said a male

"But I saw him running to the kitchen!" Replied a female.

"No, no, I saw him run into the boss's tent!" Said another man.

"Well maybe you should get your eyes checked!" Said the female and pushed the second man, he retaliated with a push of his own.

"I can see fine, you should keep looking at your nails that you oh so care about!" The first guy then swung his fist at the female; thus, a fight began within the camp.

As the entire camp fought with one another no one noticed many small blue foxes running around and lighting parts of the camp on fire.

"Enough!" Shouted the leader, everyone stopped fighting and looked at the leader in fear, but one fo them began to sniff the air.

"Is their something burning?" This made everyone look around them, tents, weapons, supplies, and the walls were on fire, burning what the fire can touch.

"Everyone put the fire out!" The bandits scrambled to grab ice and water dusts to try an put out the fire, but a part of the flames made contact with a fire dust.

The entire dust supply exploded with lightning, ice, wind, earth, fire, water, and gravity. They all panicked at the sight and began to flee from the burning camp

"Raven, we have Grimm heading this way!" Shouted a woman, the woman growled at the sight of her entire camp burning to the ground, she soon sighed and turned toward the woman.

As she did so, she saw a lone boy with nine tails and white fur, he turned around to face her and had a smug smile on his face, and one of his hands was raised to show a rude gesture.

"That damn brat." Growled Raven, but she composed herself and focused back in her subordinate.

"Evacuate everyone and have them grab what they can, we're leaving." She said and rushed towards the small group of Grimm.

The boy was laughing at their misery and disarray, while also passing Grimm with ease, the boy was Aiko, who finally regrouped with the three girls.

"Aiko!" Blake was the first to rushed forward and hug him, Ilia was the second, while Sienna ruffled his hair.

"Good job Aiko, now let's go." The four of them nodded their heads, leaving the burning and screaming bandit camp behind them.

"My leg!!!"
