022: He is a Legend (4)

The leader was a young man dressed as a bodyguard, one that Tara Summer immediately recognized as the man who had knocked her unconscious yesterday. She rushed towards him with haste.

"Take me home!" She demanded, chin held high, her gaze fierce.

"I'm sorry, Miss Summer, I'm afraid I can't do that." Fierce Eagle's handsome face remained as serious as ever. Standing at 6-feet-tall, he towered over her, a slap from him probably capable of killing her.

Upon hearing his response, Tara was livid, her attempts at maintaining composure dashed. "Is this not an abduction? Have you no regard for the law?!"

Fierce Eagle remained silent, his eyes flickering with a hint of admiration. "Miss Summer, you have quite the courage. Please, do maintain it."

He hoped she would continue to assert herself in such a haughty manner when she faced the young master.

"Spare me your nonsense!" Tara said, pointing at her swollen, bruised wrist, "You've not only abducted me but also abused me. I'm calling the police, right now!"

She refused to believe there was no justice.

"Miss Summer..." Fierce Eagle began, eyebrows slightly furrowed, "If I were you, I would behave myself and find out who the other party is before making such a call."

"I don't care who you are! Give me my phone back..."

"This is the Yancey Family property." Fierce Eagle said curtly, his five-word statement immediately quieting the young woman.

"The Yancey Family? Which Yancey Family?" Tara asked, her voice quivering. She knew the answer but asked anyway. In the whole Night City, the only ones who lived on the island and owned an airport were the Yancey Family of Saint Emperia Group, weren't they?

"Miss Summer, please." Fierce Eagle gestured, not answering her question but from her expression he knew she had figured out the answer.

Tara bit her lip, reluctantly inching forward when what she really wanted was to retreat.

Fierce Eagle and the various servants followed closely behind, making Tara feel like a head of state. These people were truly good at following orders to a tee!

"Hey, can I ask a question?" After ten minutes of walking around the huge, circuitous Villa House, Tara, feeling slightly dizzy, stopped and turned to face Fierce Eagle.

Fierce Eagle remained silent, his expression seeming to encourage her to speak.

"Is there any chance I could go home today?"

"Miss Summer, please." Fierce Eagle always had the same response, his demeanor cool and aloof.

Tara pursed her lips, realizing there was no use arguing further.

She strode forward, each step heavy and forceful, almost as if she was stamping her feet. Yet, those trailing behind her remained unaffected.

Five minutes later, Fierce Eagle led Tara to an open-air balcony on the third floor of Villa House. The balcony, the size of a football field, was occupied by dozens of bodyguards.

In the center of the balcony was a crystal-clear dining table, covered with a white brocade tablecloth. The spread was lavish, the assortment of food exquisite and plentiful.

Next to the table were just two leather chairs, placed opposite each other. Taking meals in the open air, by the sea in the early morning was indeed an unparalleled luxury; you could even hear the sound of the waves.

There was no one at the table yet. Tara walked over and was about to sit at the place facing south, but Fierce Eagle held out his hand to stop her, "Please sit on the other side, Miss Summer. This is the seat of honor and please do not sit before the young master arrives."

So many rules? Tara Summer frowned but nonetheless moved unwillingly to the opposite seat. She stood in front of the table waiting, her bright eyes darting around to take in the sea, the island, the bodyguards, and Fierce Eagle while waiting for the young master Fierce Eagle referred to.

But as time passed, the so-called young master still had not appeared.

Tara's mind was racing, several keywords jumping out at her: Yancey Family, Saint Emperia, the island, the young master...
