Stay for the Night

"Lu Li, what are you doing here? It's been some time. Have you been missing me?" Jiang Qiling tilted her head and asked. She paid no attention to Jiang Hong and Ming Yu's presence.

"Yes!"

Lu Li felt sorry for Jiang Qiling, recalling how alone she was. Out of instinct, she reached out his hand to stroke her hair and said, "I hear that you have failed to reach the Noble Lord Realm and you are hurt. I am here to check on you. Now I see you are still full of vigor and you can drink. I can put my mind at ease."

Lu Li stroking her hair was an action taken without thinking. He was treating her like his younger sister. Jiang Qiling's smile froze, though and she paused for a second. But she didn't move away. Her smile came back bigger.

She twitched her pretty nose and said, "I was too anxious. Hmm, wait till I am all healed. I will keep on trying soon and I must reach the Noble Lord Realm."
