Alrighty, yes, an author's shameless self review, here to tell everyone, I love this series... It is a source of immense joy, and happiness.
TLDR is at the bottom!
Though, that's not to say there weren't a fair bit of challenges... If I had to say what the biggest challenges were with the series... I'd have to say getting the birthtime of the main character just right was the absolute largest one... I simply had far too many things I needed to have fall right in place, and then... I found it!
Going into this series, I had good general idea of what I was shooting for, and over the course of writing this story, some of my original loose plans did change, some more than others. I often mull around future events in my head, making amendments as I go to make everything fit as well as I can.
Another challenge was balancing what the original series had to say about Telskyura in the first place, with what I needed... When I first read up on it, I was completely floored, right there in plain view was the perfect starting point for my character. After all, what better way to numb one's aversion to death, while simultaneously suffering as the noblesse oblige born from deep within one's genetic code kept clawing at the surface, than to be raised in what is effectively a country sized death cult? With a side of a whole lot of other terrible human rights violations.
That said, there were many things I had to do for Telskyura to really make sense to the average reader, and truly convey just how intricate and organized of a death cult it really was, combined with the Amazoness natural urges, and instincts. I feel I did a good job in highlighting just how insane these people actually are, a lot of what they do seems horrible, and potentially stupid from an outside perspective... Which I have to add, if that's how you're viewing the series, you're not experiencing it in it's entirety.
All aside, it was the perfect starting place... Now I just had to get him from place to place, and I solved that too, with an albeit, really horrible experience... However, it has a very real world message behind it, and one that will last through out the majority of the beginning parts of the series. No spoilers as to what that is... You'll just have to read it, sorry xD lol
TLDR: I sincerely hope that everyone who reads this fanfiction, will experience at least half of the joy I've experienced while writing it. And while there is required background knowledge of Telskyura, you can get away without it provided you understand that it's country sized death cult, with all types of crazily different people.
Finally, thank you for taking the time to enjoy this series! I've got so many new chapters on the way too! Story all the way to the start of the great feud has been written, and is already scheduled for release!
