The Fall of Bloodshadow Tower

The five elite assassins made their decision without hesitation, choosing to leave Blood Shadow Tower with Nanmen Yu.

"Good. There's no time to lose, we leave immediately," Nanmen Yu ordered.

Quickly gathering their belongings, Nanmen Yu and the assassins departed from Blood shadow Tower's headquarters. Meanwhile, Guan Zhiyun remained completely unaware of their betrayal.

Half a day later.

Inside his quarters, Guan Zhiyun was still tending to Guan Xingyu's injuries when a panicked assassin burst in.

"Tower Master, something's wrong!" the assassin exclaimed. "The Deputy Tower Master and assassins Zhou Qing, Bai Xu, and the others are missing! They're not in the headquarters, and we can't contact them!"

Sweating profusely, Guan Zhiyun, now slightly weakened from using his spiritual power, replied dismissively, "Don't worry. I sent the Deputy Tower Master and the others to hunt down Xu Bai. That's why they're gone. You can leave."

"But…" the assassin hesitated. "If they were just chasing Xu Bai, why are their rooms completely emptied of belongings?"

Hearing this, Guan Zhiyun's body stiffened, trembling as his pupils constricted.

"What did you just say?! Their rooms are empty?"

"Yes! All their belongings are gone, including a large portion of the treasure from the vault," the assassin explained, puzzled.

Realization hit Guan Zhiyun like a thunderbolt. His face contorted with fury.

"Nanmen Yu!" he roared. "You dare betray me too!"

Furious, he ended his spiritual healing and stood, his expression twisted with rage. His mind burned like a volcanic eruption, consumed entirely by wrath.

BOOM!

Suddenly, a deafening explosion rocked the underground palace of Blood shadow Tower. The tremors shook the entire headquarters like an earthquake.

"What's happening now?!" Guan Zhiyun shouted, his face pale with alarm.

Another assassin rushed in, his face filled with panic. "Tower Master! It's the Jiang Empire! Their forces have breached the headquarters! All the escape tunnels have been destroyed, and they've already entered the underground palace!"

"What?!" Guan Zhiyun's heart sank, but then he frowned. "Impossible! Jiang HuanYu is still with the Qian family. How could the Jiang Empire have the strength to attack Blood shadow Tower?"

"Tower Master, the Jiang Empire has hidden experts! Several of Jiang HuanYu's personal guards are Heavenly Realm experts. One of them, an archer, collapsed three of our escape routes with just three arrows!" the assassin explained, his voice trembling.

BOOM!

Another explosion echoed closer, accompanied by anguished screams. Guan Zhiyun's complexion darkened further.

"We need to leave now!" urged the assassin. "They don't know our location yet. This is our chance to escape!"

Without hesitation, Guan Zhiyun picked up the unconscious Guan Xingyu. "Let's go! Retreat immediately!"

The once-mighty base of Blood shadow Tower had turned into a battlefield of carnage. Six Godslayer Guards, five of them at the Third Stage of the Heavenly Realm, unleashed unrelenting slaughter.

Corpses of assassins lay scattered, bathed in pools of blood. No one could withstand the overwhelming strength of the Godslayer Guards. Buildings, pavilions, and artificial hills collapsed under the force of the onslaught, reducing the once-grand underground palace to a wasteland drenched in blood.

Hovering in mid-air, the Archer God guarded the entrance to ensure no one could escape. The escape tunnels had already been destroyed, leaving the entrance as the only way out.

Wielding his Flame Bow, adorned with the flaming shadows of a phoenix and a vermilion bird, the Archer God rained fiery arrows onto the battlefield. Each arrow incinerated hundreds of assassins, creating walls of flame that engulfed the palace in an inferno.

"Hmm?"

The Archer God's sharp gaze shifted to the left, spotting three figures fleeing from a collapsed building. Among them was Guan Zhiyun, clutching his son.

"A Third Stage Heavenly Realm cultivator," the Archer God muttered, his tone calm but deadly. "You must be Guan Zhiyun, the Tower Master of Bloodshadow Tower."

Locking onto Guan Zhiyun, the Archer God drew his Flame Bow to its fullest, forming an arrow blazing with crimson flames.

"Sixth Stage Heavenly Realm!"

Guan Zhiyun instantly felt the Archer God's oppressive aura. His face paled as he realized the vast gap in their strength. Without hesitation, he veered away from the entrance, desperately fleeing in another direction with his two subordinates.

But the Archer God's arrow had already been loosed.

The fiery projectile streaked across the air like a soaring phoenix, hurtling toward Guan Zhiyun at breakneck speed. Despite his frantic efforts to escape, the arrow struck him squarely in the back.

BOOM!

A fiery explosion erupted mid-air, engulfing Guan Zhiyun in a blazing inferno.

"AAAAAHHHHH!" His agonized scream echoed briefly before his body was consumed entirely by the flames, leaving nothing but ashes.

The two assassins accompanying him met a swift end as well. Intercepted by a Heavenly-level Godslayer Guard, they were beheaded in an instant.

The massacre in Bloodshadow Tower's headquarters was over in less than the time it took to burn a single incense stick. Not a single person survived.

After securing the treasures from the Blood Shadow Tower vault, the Archer God and his team ascended to the surface. With a single powerful arrow, he collapsed the ground above the underground palace, burying the ruins beneath a mountain of debris.

"Let's go," the Archer God said, leading the Godslayer Guards away from the scene.

Before long, the entire Northern Domain was abuzz with shocking news:

The Blood Shadow Tower headquarters in Boruo Lands had been utterly destroyed!

Not just the headquarters, all their hidden outposts and branch strongholds had been uprooted by the Jiang Empire. No one had been spared.

The revelation sent shockwaves through the Northern Domain.

"The Jiang Empire found Bloodshadow Tower's headquarters and wiped them out completely?"

"But Jiang HuanYu is still with the Qian family! Who could have led such a devastating attack?"
