••ROXANA••
His words definitely hurt my self esteem however I endure it. Maintaining my calm composure, I assured him, "Of course I can't do anything now but if you allow crown prince Raphael Clifton to inherit the throne, your community will suffer worse than now."
"Not only your community but every citizen of this empire who does not possess mana power in their bodies. Genocides will occur in the name of natural selection."
He clenched his jaws and hesitantly muttered, "What can we both do? I can't even provide you enough manpower to fight against the emperor's huge army!"
I nodded curtly as I stepped close to face him. "Revolution is not done in a day. We will need to get enough power, wealth and strong allies," I managed a smile and instinctively held his right arm.
"And you are my first ally."
"What if I decline your offer?" He jerked off his arm from my grasp. "Because I don't believe in empty talk. You must already have personal propaganda!"
"Damien, I don't ask twice. You'll be my knight, my ally. Together we will achieve greatness."
He hesitated, taking steps backwards by my audacious declaration. "I'm not sure…"
"This is not a request, it's a decree. I traded my pride and honour for getting you free." I inched closer, my voice taking on a commanding tone.
He swallowed hard, probably intimidated by my change in tone. Looking the other side, he indifferently argued in his raspy deep voice, "But what about my own path? Why should I allow you to rule over me just because you rescued me, freed me?"
Managing a smile on my face, I poked my finger between his exposed shaft of chest muscles. "Your path is mine now. Together we will forge a new world where everyone will be given equal rights of living."
And without giving him a second to talk, I rose onto my toes and cupped his face into my palms. My lips parted slightly as I reached for his.
He, caught off guard, didn't move. His eyes widened in surprise as my lips brushed against his, sending shivers down his spines. I knew beastmen are weak to physical intimacy and would give in to the temptations.
But he surprised me by wrapping his big, strong arms around my waist and continued deepening the kiss. His height and strength enveloping me in his possessive embrace.
I felt the thrill as we stood lost in a kiss. He was weirdly gentle with me and I felt loved for the first time in my life. After a moment of intensity, I broke the kiss and smiled at him.
"I've always wanted to do that for a long time."
He wipes his lip, and getting on his knees, he firmly replies, "Princess, I'm at your disposal. Use me however you want."
His drastic change in attitude left me speechless and I delayed no further. I brought him to my palace and asked my maids to groom him well.
A week later, the rumours of me making a criminal beastman a personal knight spread like forest fire all over the empire. And I was tagged as an officially retard princess, not that I really care about. It's better than being called as dumb abandoned princess.
I summoned my lady in waiting, Mary, and asked her to prepare for my departure.
"P-Princess, you can't do that!"
She reacted shockingly after realising what I was going to do. But before she could say anything, Aloysius entered my bedroom.
"Princess, the car is ready, we will head to Holy Land Selena."
Aloysius was given a displeased look by Mary. "Bravo to you Sir Damien for encouraging the princess to do something she shouldn't be doing."
"Thank you for your compliment Lady Mary, I appreciate it," Aloysius was sarcastic which crackled Mary's smile and looked dead in his eyes.
"Alright, I'll be leaving. Mary, pass this letter to my father. You'll not be punished," saying that I handed over the envelope and left with Aloysius.
I had to leave my car because we were in disguise of common people and took the traditional carriage for further journeys to the Holy Land. Surprisingly the horses of Holy Land could fly and so it was quick to arrive at the border's town.
Upon arriving at an inn, I intentionally asked Aloysius to act suspicious.
Everyone turned their faces to us, scanning us up and down. We were dressed in black knight uniforms with black cloak flowing over our back and hoods covering my head.
"Why are we acting like assassins, princess?" Aloysius murmured, walking closely to me.
"Isn't it happening according to our plan? Now all is left to get arrested by the Holy knights."
"Y-Yes? Arrested?" Aloysius reacted shockingly. "Didn't you say you were here to solve your biggest obstacle?"
"Well it's similar."
I fastened my steps as I didn't want to explain everything to him. After a few minutes, we were walking through the deserted street, fortunately there were lampposts on either side of the road.
THUD
Getting alerted, Aloysius opened his claws and unsheathed his dagger blades and whispered near my ear, " They are behind us, princess."
I nodded and turned back with a smile, "Aloysius make sure to show your best version today because our goal is to meet their Paladin Aaron Wilder."
"I understand," Aloysius bowed before sprinting towards the approaching Holy knights.
"Now should I do some warm-up since I will be facing Aaron soon?" I chuckled, tilting my head sideways and swung my hands in the air.
Two rods of sharp golden lightsabers appeared in my clenched fists and I lunged at the knights. Unleashing the strong flames from my sabers which I directed towards the incoming knights.
ARGH
Two of them went flying after receiving the critical blow on their bodies, others gasped in bewilderness. They were definitely surprised to see the elven mana power in Holy Land.
"Now your turn, Aloysius."
I got back and he leapt forward, with his sharp electrocuted dagger blades. The knights trembled in fear because they were not able to keep up with Aloysius's quick reflexes. One of the knights shouted in terror, "Mages of the Elovera empire have entered our land. Lord Paladin, help us."
That very second, the atmosphere changed into a silent night. The wind turned cold as I heard the flapping of Pegasus' wings in the air.
"What are mages of the Elovera empire doing here?" Familiar voice thundered and I instantly knew that Aaron Wilder had arrived.
I gulped in nervously, clenching my fingers around my lightsaber's hilts. I was going to face that man again who in the first life treated me like trash, non-existent and agreed to execute me.
