6. Compensation and Rewards

I have secured Tsunade's protection and should be able to learn everything from Tsunade within a year. Afterall, Sakura was a beginner and didn't have the Sharingan helping her.

Well, I probably wouldn't be able to master the Yin seal and Creation Rebirth if my chakra control isn't good enough. But, the other things should be enough.

Now, what should I actually demand from Hiruzen?

As a 'retired' ninja now, I am sure that he wouldn't give me any important forbidden jutsu. And Hashirama cells? There is no chance. And well, I can get Hashirama cells later by myself. Afterall, I have Kamui. And probably Orochimaru may give it to me as well?

Well, first of all, I should ask for all the research that has been done on prosthetics.

I remember that Sasori made a puppet prosthetic hand for his friend, and Chiyo herself had replaced some parts of her body with puppets. There is no way the wealthiest Konoha wouldn't have some research in it.

I will rather ask Kushina and Minato for fuinjutsu. I doubt Hiruzen will give me much.

Due to the war, I haven't been paid much, just like the rest of the village. So, I should cash out my contributions and buy enough chakra metals myself. I am sure Hiruzen will try to scam me.

But, what more should I ask from Hiruzen? Just prosthetics research wouldn't be enough.

I would have liked to get Kabuto and his adoptive mother to be my assistants... but they are under Danzo right now. And I wouldn't be able to explain how I know them.

Sigh... I will just tell Hiruzen to give me his stamped scroll promising me that I will be able to ask some favours from the Fourth Hokage.

I would rather have Minato teaching me fuinjutsu than getting anything from Hiruzen. When Minato becomes the Hokage, things will get better for me. There is probably less than a year left before the war ends. Afterall, Itachi is three years old and will soon turn 4.

I am sure Onoki will attack and kill Third Raikage sooner or later, and after Third Raikage is killed, the war wouldn't last much.

Soon enough, Hiruzen arrived, and I didn't say anything to him.

"I am sorry-"

"Don't say things you don't mean. Mei, go to my study and bring out my accounts notebook."

I hate that I can't get up myself to the second floor...

"Alright. You two chat, I will go to the hospital."

Tsunade left with Shizune, and we were left alone in the living room.

I turned my face away from him, looking at my garden from the window, and waited for Mei to get my accounts notebook.

Soon, she came down and handed me the notebook.

I took it, and read through it. Hmm, I have done quite a lot in the Third Ninja War.

Aside from Onoki's son, whose dead body I sold in the black market, I have taken out several Jonins of Iwa, confused Roshi and Ham into firing the Bijudamas at their own camps, and though I managed to rain down Kirin at them, it didn't have much of an effect.

Only Han, who is a steam release ninja with a water type bijuu got injured, but I barely survived him when he recovered in no time and almost kicked me with his ridiculous speed.

Still, Han and Roshi haven't been on battlefield after I used them against Iwa.

That's a great achievement in itself.

I wrote down surviving Onoki and confirming that someone leaked the location of my camp to him, and that someone was Danzo.

"Let's see, if we count all this... 245 million for surviving Han and Roshi and removing them from the battlefield, delivering Onoki's son's brain for Intel, killing atleast 80 Iwa jonins, destroying Kannabi Bridge, ensuring that Kusagakure's leader doesn't have any thoughts about allying with Iwa...

500 million for surviving assassinations from Danzo.

2 billions for loosing my limbs because of him leaking my camp's location...

And since I haven't received any jutsus from the village despite me repeatedly asking for Flying Thunder God that is my right because of my contributions and would have saved not only my limbs, but several ninjas like Hizashi...

2.745 billion Ryos, in cash or gold, not checks that will surely bounce on the excuse of war.

And your approved stamp for the Fourth Hokage, whether it will be Fugaku, Minato or Orochimaru, to agree to three of my compensations and rewards within agreeable terms to them exclusively, without you and your friends suggesting or pressuring them.

And all research that the village has about prosthetics."

I handed the notebook to Mei, and she handed it to Hiruzen.

Even without looking at it, Hiruzen looked at me as if he has lost any pity for me.

"Danzo never-"

"Don't try to fool yourself. I myself extracted the information from Onoki's son with my Sharingan. And his brain must have revealed the information. The Aburame that attacked me with him was Danzo's subordinate. I don't see why Aburame Clan will try to assassinate me. And the Aburame clan head has told me that he is Danzo's subordinate."

"Danzo's subordinate was the one who betrayed the village. Not Danzo-"

He is irresponsible. That's why, he should leave all the troublesome tasks to Fourth Hokage. I gave him a way out. 2.745 billion ryos isn't a big deal.

After some thinking, he agreed.

"Alright. I will have the money and the agreement delivered to you by tomorrow.

But I don't approve of your retirement-"

"You still want me to fight-!"

"What I meant to say, is that you should become an academy teacher and take in some students. You are the best genjutsu user in the village."

"I don't have the time right now. I will be training under Tsunade-sama for a year.

And I don't want to deal with brats from the academy. I am not a good teacher.

I have already selected who I will teach. Mei and Shisui. They are already Chunin, and are good at understanding things fast. I will see if I want to teach in the academy after the war ends."

"You will be training under Tsunade?"

"Yeah. But that isn't a reward or compensation from the village. It's just that she lost a bet against me, and I will feel safer with her by my side so that another one of Danzo's subordinate doesn't betray the village and tries to assassinate a potential candidate for the Fourth Hokage."

Hiruzen shut up, and decided to just leave.

"Then take care."

Good thing I kept Mei, a kid, by my side during the conversation. He wouldn't want to appear bad in front of kids.

After he left, I resisted the urge to use Kamui on him and slam a Rasengan.

...I guess getting Mangekyo is making it harder to control my emotions.

Sigh... Now, I have to start focusing on making the prosthetics and mastering one-hand signs.

The doorbell rang.

Who is it now? Hmm... Judging by the chakra signature, it's Mikoto and Itachi. And Kushina as well.
