Surprising The Yandere

Feng Fan stepped out of the room with a confident smirk playing on his lips. Not only had he teased a beautiful girl, but he had also taken his first step on the cultivation path by sensing qi.

'This is just the beginning,' he thought with growing determination.

His mind quickly shifted to his next objective. 'Time to get that map from Senior Brother Zhang Qi. Perhaps within it, I'll find the solution to my current predicament.'

Just as Feng Fan was about to take his next step, a chill ran down his spine.

"Fanfan…" a familiar voice called out, sweet yet terrifyingly sharp. "What were you doing in Huang Xue's quarters?"

Feng Fan froze and turned to see the owner of the voice—Xue Qiang. She wore her usual beautiful smile, but her eyes radiated an icy coldness that could pierce through steel.

The moment Feng Fan connected to her thoughts, his blood ran cold, and he nearly jumped in fright.

'FENG FAN. I'LL KILL HER. KILL HUANG XUE. THAT VIXEN DARES TO—'

Her mental scream was like thunder in his mind, filled with rage and jealousy. Feng Fan broke into a cold sweat. 'Oh no. This is bad. Really bad.'

Xue Qiang approached him slowly, each step making the air around her grow hotter. This was likely a subconscious activation of her cultivation technique fueled by her anger.

Feng Fan felt the intensity rising and knew he had to act fast. If he didn't defuse the situation now, he might not live to see another sunrise.

Before Xue Qiang could close the distance, he stepped forward, grabbed her wrist firmly, and locked eyes with her. "Qinqin," he said, his tone calm but serious, "I was looking for you. Let's go somewhere private to talk."

'Huh? Looking for me? Why?' Xue Qiang thought, caught off guard by his sudden move. Her anger wavered, replaced by a flicker of curiosity and confusion. His unexpected seriousness left her momentarily speechless.

Feng Fan didn't wait for her to respond. With a swift motion, he gently pulled her into her quarters, which were located next to Huang Xue's quarters.

Once the door shut behind them, he turned to face her, his gaze locking onto hers.

"Qinqin," he said, his tone both calm and sincere, "Today, you look even more beautiful than usual. Is it the result of your cultivation? Did you already break through the 1st Qi Gathering realm?"

Xue Qiang's cheeks flushed at the sudden compliment. Her free hand instinctively rose to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"Y-Yeah… Thank you," she murmured, her voice softer than usual, betraying a hint of flustered surprise.

'H-He thinks I'm beautiful?' Xue Qiang's thoughts swirled in a chaotic mix of joy and suspicion. 'Why hasn't he said that before? Wait… what was he doing in Huang Xue's room?'

Feng Fan noticed the doubt in her mind and knew he had to act quickly.

If he tried to explain himself, it would only worsen the situation.

"Qinqin…" he said softly, his tone tender and calming as he reached out, gently cupping her chin. He tilted her face upwards so their eyes met, the intensity in his gaze holding hers captive.

Without giving her a chance to question him further, he leaned in, closing the distance between them. His lips pressed softly against hers, capturing her in a warm, lingering kiss.

Xue Qiang froze for a moment, her thoughts scattering like leaves in a storm.

A soft, electrifying sensation spread through her body, her heart pounding wildly in her chest. Her knees weakened, and a tingling warmth coursed through her as the kiss deepened slightly, leaving her breathless.

"I was planning to tell you this after graduation," Feng Fan began, his voice soft and sincere, "but being here with you made me realize I should say it now, while I still have the chance. With my weak talent... who knows when we might be forced apart?" His words carried a calculated vulnerability, designed to tug at her heartstrings.

"N-No, Fanfan," Xue Qiang blurted, her eyes welling with emotion. "I love you. I love you so much! I'll never let anyone or anything come between us. Don't worry; I'll be strong enough for both of us." Her tone was fierce, her resolve evident as she clung to him like he was her entire world.

Feng Fan felt a wave of relief wash over him. His plan had worked. However, a new challenge loomed before him: extracting himself from the messy situation he'd just created by confessing his feelings for her.

'Well, I didn't even need to lie. I did plan to confess my feelings to her after graduation… before I discovered she was crazy,' he thought, masking his inner turmoil with a warm smile.

"I believe in you, Qinqin," Feng Fan said warmly, his smile radiating encouragement. "But I don't want to distract you from your training. I know how important it is for you to focus and grow stronger."

He gently released her hand, stepping back. "I'll head out now, but I trust you'll give it your all."

Xue Qiang's eyes sparkled with determination as she nodded firmly. "Yes! Just wait for me, Fanfan. I'll become stronger in no time. You'll see!"

Feng Fan gave her one last reassuring smile before turning to leave.

'Oh fuck, that was dangerous. I had to lose my first time to save my hide,' he thought. 'This beautiful lady took advantage of my body! She'd better take responsibility. How am I supposed to find a proper wife now?'

Feng Fan shook off the lingering thoughts from earlier and refocused on the task at hand.

His pace quickened as he made his way to Zhang Qi's place, eyes scanning the area until Zhang Qi's modest house came into view.

In front of the house hung a plaque marked 2560-2580, indicating a block of twenty disciple rooms. Zhang Qi's room was nestled among them, just one of many unremarkable quarters within the sect.

He quickly glanced around to ensure no one was watching before slipping inside with ease.

None of the rooms had locks by default. To secure one, a person would need to install a personal array or hire someone to do it, an inconvenience that worked in his favor this time.

'I'll definitely set up something for my own room later. Sneaky, shameless bastards who invade people's privacy like this really deserve to be taught a lesson!' He thought.

Zhang Qi's house was as simple as his own—barely furnished, with only the essentials to accommodate daily life. The room exuded an air of mediocrity, a stark reminder of the harsh hierarchy within the sect.

'It seems Zhang Qi's status isn't much different from mine,' Feng Fan thought, his gaze moving over the unremarkable surroundings. 'Most disciples probably languish at the bottom, while only a fortunate few enjoy the sect's full support.'

The realization fueled his resolve. He wasn't going to remain at the bottom forever. With a deep breath, Feng Fan began searching for the map that may set him on a path to change his fate.
