[ Third-person narrator ]
"What a welcome… I just arrived in this world and I'm already being attacked by some weird monster," murmured Aiden, with a mix of annoyance and caution.
His eyes scanned the two wolves stalking him from between the trees.
"Strangely, I don't feel afraid… though I won't lie, this is making me a bit nervous."
He had been exploring and walking all day, but by nightfall, he hadn't found any food.
He needed to light a campfire and look for something to eat afterward.
With [Michael], hunting an animal for food shouldn't be a problem.
But who would've thought he'd run into these rabid wolves?
"Grrr…"
The wolves, a menacing gray, had blood-red eyes that glowed intensely in the dark.
Upon seeing those eyes, Aiden knew instantly they weren't ordinary creatures.
"I wonder if they're edible…" he murmured, feeling the hunger start to bite.
He had explored quite a bit and wandered far from his temporary camp.
He didn't want to find another place and have to light another fire, especially after how hard it had been to make the first one.
"Grrr…!"
Suddenly, one of the wolves let out a guttural growl and charged at him, snapping him out of his thoughts.
/Tap…! Thud!/
In an instant, the wolf reached his side, opening its mouth full of sharp teeth and saliva, its red eyes gleaming with ferocity.
Wasting no time, it tried to devour its prey.
"Woah…!" Aiden panicked, dodging the wolf's bite and rolling to the side.
The wolf crashed violently into a tree.
/Heavy thud!/
Disoriented, the wolf let out a painful whimper as Aiden stood up, pure adrenaline rushing through his body.
"Well, looks like you really want me to turn you into grilled meat, huh?" Aiden joked, not planning to let the opportunity slip away.
Without wasting another second, he charged forward.
The [Falna] had granted him physical abilities beyond those of a normal human, and with an agile move, he reached the wolf's side.
With a branch he had kept in his pocket, Aiden stabbed it hard into the wolf's red eye.
/Shhhk!/
The wolf howled in pain, its eyes reflecting surprise and fury.
"This one's for dinner," Aiden murmured with determination, as the other wolf prepared to attack.
Aiden gripped the blood-covered branch tightly and stared at the wolf watching him with a fierce gaze.
"Ugh… this is disgusting, but I guess I'll have to get used to it."
Aiden took a deep breath, trying to ignore the uncomfortable feeling.
"They're just two wolves, the typical first enemy in a tutorial. Come on, Aiden, you've got this!"
He encouraged himself, but when he looked at the blood again, a grimace of disgust appeared on his face.
It still definitely seemed disgusting to him.
The wolves, now alert, began to circle him, growling as they lunged at him at the same time.
"Grrroooar!"
One aimed for his arms, while the other went for his neck.
"Alright, I don't stand a chance against you guys if I keep using this twig!" Aiden shouted, dropping the nonsense.
He wanted to learn hand-to-hand combat, but now he realized that wasn't the priority.
If he made a mistake, those wolves would eat him alive.
And if he died to these weak wolves, how could he face all those Phrases?
First of all, Aiden wasn't a melee fighter.
"[Michael]!"
Aiden's right hand glowed with a golden light as a giant key, resembling a ringed staff, appeared in his palm.
With an agile motion, he spun the key and used it like a spear, preparing to strike the wolves.
/Heavy thud! Heavy thud!/
The wolves howled in pain, their cries echoing through the forest as Aiden used a cheat skill against tutorial monsters like them.
They could only suffer in silence until they died, their bodies falling heavily to the ground.
/Thud! Thud!/
Aiden watched as the wolves lay lifeless, a mix of relief and adrenaline coursing through his body.
Aiden looked at the bodies of the two wolves, with their heads smashed and covered in blood.
He felt a wave of nausea, but managed to hold it back.
A sigh escaped his lips.
"Maybe I can eat this or sell it when I reach a town… Although, now that I think about it, where the hell am I?"
As he turned around, golden portals began to appear beneath the wolves' bodies, absorbing them.
It was the [Gate of Babylon].
Aiden smiled to himself; having nearly infinite storage was incredibly convenient.
According to the information he had read in the [Falna], that magic could also be used offensively.
He imagined throwing a bunch of swords from it.
'That would be pretty cool.'
He continued his way toward the camp, which was quite far away.
Along the way, he encountered more wolves, which fell with a single blow to the head, thanks to [Michael], which could also shoot energy beams made of reiryoku.
Aiden practiced with those wolves, feeling his skill improve with each victory.
After finishing off all the wolves, he gathered them using the [Gate of Babylon] and continued on to the camp.
Once there, he set out to cook the wolf meat, using a sharp stone he had found on the way back.
When he tasted the meat, a single thought crossed his mind:
"Disgusting."
Despite his disgust, he kept eating, knowing he needed strength.
The concern about whether the meat was poisonous didn't even cross his mind.
According to Yog-Sothoth, Aiden's body had changed and strengthened after awakening his [Tree of Life/Death Sephira/Qlipha] magic, increasing his resistance to such things.
Although he wasn't completely immune, he was confident in his newfound strength.
After eating, he climbed a tree to try and sleep.
However, the discomfort woke him up several times during the night.
—
"Ah…, when will I reach a town?" he murmured in a whisper.
Two days later, Aiden was walking along a dirt path that showed wheel marks.
He assumed those tracks were from horse-drawn carts.
He decided to follow this route, hoping it would lead him to a town or civilization.
"But seriously? Why are there so many gray wolves? Aren't there any other types of monsters?" Aiden sighed, feeling that the monotony was draining the excitement from combat. "And to top it off, I feel a bit bad for using [Michael] for this… It's supposed to be some kind of divine power, right?" he murmured to himself while cleaning the blood off the tip of the key, a slight look of discomfort on his face.
At that moment, he felt the key respond, as if agreeing with him.
"Well, I'll try not to use you as a stick to smack these monsters," he said, and the key glowed, as if approving his decision.
Aiden gathered the bodies of the wolves and continued on his way.
Five full days passed before he finally caught sight of a town in the distance.
"Haha~, finally! I want to sleep in a bed… and eat something that isn't roasted wolf," he exclaimed joyfully.
Wasting no time, Aiden headed toward the town while humming a song from his past life.
"If the sign of our goodbye~♫"
"Echoes in the night sky~♫"
"Very soon we'll be far and weak~♫"
"And our paths will be lit~♫"
"Until we meet again~♫"
While humming, almost unconsciously, the ninth ending of Dragon Ball Super, Aiden glanced at his status, recalling the packs of wolves he had defeated along the way.

'Obviously, the stat that has increased the most is 'Reiryoku', since it's the energy [Michael] uses. The other stats have also increased a lot,' Aiden thought, feeling pleased.
He realized he felt much stronger than the first day he arrived in this world.
If those two wolves he killed showed up again, he could smack them without needing to rely on [Michael].
"I won't have to use a cheat power against those little bastards anymore," he said with a wry smile.
A few moments later, he arrived at the entrance to the town, where there was some kind of gate guarded by a few sentries.
"Ah, finally some civilization!" Aiden exclaimed, feeling a surge of joy at seeing signs of human life.

A/N:
In the upcoming chapters, there will be quite a few time skips to show Aiden's progress.
I plan to make this mini arc no more than 10 chapters long, so most likely by chapter 16, Aiden will already be in another world.
This mini arc is simply so you understand where his powers come from and how he meets the first members of his harem.
I think the fanfic cover already gives you a bit of a spoiler, and Yog-Sothoth also mentioned something about the "Egos."
Anyway, thanks for reading, and I'd appreciate it if you could tell me whether the grammar is okay, since, as I mentioned, English isn't my first language and I'm translating this with ChatGPT.
