The Reborn Crown Princess (2)

Yin Zhi leaned back as she placed her head on the edge of the pool as she let the warm water ease away all the tensions she have.

While the familiar scent of her favorite flower, the purple orchid with the warmth surrounding her made her feel safe for the first time in fifteen years. This is her home.

Yin Zhi's lips curled into a wide determined smile. Since she is back, she would take this chance with everything she have.

No matter how difficult the journey would be, She would not let history repeat itself, nor allow herself to be betrayed again. She would use every painful lesson she had learn from her experience for the past fifteen years to protect herself and the people she cared.

She would not trust blindly, nor would she protect those unworthy of her sacrifice.

This time around, she would be more ruthless and heartless if she needed to save her country. She can't just raise useless people like before.

She would still save the citizens of her country and bring them back to her base, but that was it. Providing them with a safe living environment away from the threat of zombies was enough. If those people don't want to get hungry, then they need to work and earn their own food.

Yin Zhi's mind raced with countless possibilities.

She knows what will happen in the future. The time of the apocalypse, and the identity of those traitors who betrayed the royal family and those people who betrayed her that she thought that was on her side.

In this life, she would make sure that these people would be eliminated before the apocalypse, or at least kicked out in the imperial region as the imperial region base would be her strongest backing in the apocalypse and she wouldn't allow anyone to contradict her in running the base in the future.

As the crown princess of this country, she would still do her responsibility to protect Huxia from threats posed by both the zombies and humans, but this time, she would do it without sacrificing herself and her loved ones.

Yin Zhi opens her eyes, her gaze cold and unwavering.

"I will make them all pay, one by one." - Yin Zhi promised. Her enemies should pay for the pain and betrayal that they had inflicted upon her. But, She knows she couldn't act hastily. She mustn't let them and get alerted that she knows their disloyalty against the throne.

She has a advantage and it's the fact that she knows the future happenings. This people thought she was still the 18years old crown princess who didn't suffer any maliciousness of the world. Well, they were wrong.

Yin Zhi stood up as resolve sparkled within those mesmerizing purple eyes. Even if there was still more than a year before the apocalypse, it was still not enough. There was so much to prepare for.

Steeping out of the pool, she grabbed a bathrobe and wrapped it around herself as she walked back to her room before entering another open door. It was her walk-in closet. She walked a few steps and stood before the wall mirror.

She barely recognize the young girl staring back at her, with smooth pale skin unmarred by scars, and a healthy complexion.

Before she died, she was already almost skin to the bone because of being locked up in the laboratory for an entire year. So she couldn't believe her face looked so ethereal. Her whole being screamed of nobility, pure and untouched by suffering.

Seeing her look, A malicious smile tugged at her lips. She will wear this cold, noble, proud yet kind mask. A mask that no one could see through until it was too late.

Yin Zhi turned around as she went and grabbed a simple white nightgown. Tomorrow, she will need to start her preparations so what she needs right now is to rest and sleep.

With a small smile, Yin Zhi climbed back to her bed, pulling the blanket around her.

Yin Zhi open her eyes as her brow wrinkled as she raised her hand and grabbed her phone from the bedside table to check the time.

2:25 AM - Monday, October 4, 4028.

Seeing the time, Yin Zhi thought she could have a nice and peaceful sleep this time, yet she barely slept for an hour because something was bothering her.

Yin Zhi sat up in her bed as she close her eyes, her breath calm and steady as she concentrated. After a few minutes, Yin Zhi opened her eyes again and hesitation flash in her purple eyes. Something was really calling her attention, and she didn't mistake it. It was from the underground palace.

Thinking of her past life, this kind of thing did not happen on her 18th birthday. No, this kind of thing never happened even once in her entire life so Yin Zhi slid out of her bed without even bothering to wear her sleeper or change her clothes as she left her room hurriedly.

Now that she is back from the past, she knows how mysterious the underground palace really is. Because the ancient magic spell she used came from there.

And now that something seemed calling her from there, she knew that it must be something important.
