7 Gods can't be trusted (Ender's lucky day)

From the moment Ender stepped into her domain, Gaia felt his presence—a distinct ripple in the essence of her realm. She knew every life force within her lands, every soul nourished by the earth, but Ender was different. His energy bore the shadows of dark magic, yet it was uncorrupted. No malice, no hunger for control. Instead, she sensed a rare depth—a man with power veiled in darkness, yet wielded with a tempered, steady hand.

This tempered darkness intrigued her, an enigma she hadn't encountered in countless ages. Most who wielded magic, especially dark magic, did so with motives—clear as day or hidden in shadows. Yet Ender's heart was different. His spirit, entwined with shadows, was rooted in purpose, like a rare flower blooming in the depths of a forest.

At first, Gaia observed him from afar, her essence woven into the earth beneath his feet and the air around him. She watched his every movement and sensed his aura shift as he took in his surroundings. She felt an unexpected draw toward him as if her ancient soul sensed a balance within him that resonated with her own. Ender carried with him a silent determination, a need to belong without surrendering who he was. It was a quiet strength that stirred something within her—a desire to know him, to understand the purpose that had brought him here.

Gaia sensed his hesitation as he entered her sacred domain. He walked with caution, but his heart held no fear—only a guarded curiosity. This restraint intrigued her, so different from the countless mortals who saw her domain as a source to be taken from or feared. Ender seemed to respect the weight of power, to walk carefully even as he carried darkness within him. This deliberate approach made her believe he might understand her burden, her purpose as Mother Earth.

The more she observed him, the stronger the unspoken pull became. Ender's soul was bound by secrets and shadows. While his darkness might have repelled others, it drew Gaia closer. She was captivated by his quiet presence, his resolute spirit. His shadows didn't conceal lust for power or cruelty—they hinted at understanding and resilience, a soul that bore burdens with quiet strength.

Her attraction was not merely physical but something far deeper. Beneath his guarded exterior, she sensed he might understand the weight she carried, her duty to protect, nurture, and balance. Gaia had long walked alone in this purpose, her role ancient and unshared. But in Ender, she saw the possibility of companionship—a kindred soul who walked a similarly lonely path of balance and control.

Ender's power was undeniable, ancient, and bound to gods unknown to her. Perhaps he could be her hope to stop her fellow Elder God siblings from their descent into madness, as she had foreseen in her visions.

Her curiosity became interest, and perhaps even admiration. She knew she needed to reveal herself. When they finally met, she sensed his wariness and hesitation, yet there was no deceit. He was open, ready to question and challenge her. That honesty only confirmed her intuition—here was a man whose darkness held integrity, not corruption. He was, in his way, an ally of balance.

They conversed, and Gaia learned more about him, Herobrine as he called himself, a guardian from the dimension of End, a place outside her reality. Like her, he bore a mantle of protection. Perhaps he could share her burden.

Yet, they were still strangers, and Gaia decided to show her sincerity.

The decision to grant him her blessing was not one she made lightly. Her blessing wasn't merely a gift of power but a piece of herself, an eternal bond that would intertwine them. But Gaia had long ago learned to trust her instincts, the wisdom of ages guiding her in every choice. She felt certain Ender would use this blessing not for personal gain but to protect, to bring balance in the times to come.

She revealed herself fully, speaking of her ancient powers, her knowledge of his dark magic, and her understanding of his inner nature. She knew that by offering her blessing freely, she could earn his trust in return. Gaia could see the skepticism in his eyes. He was used to people wanting things from him, expecting him to fit into their plans. But Gaia wanted nothing except to see him become his truest self, to help him find his purpose in her world, and perhaps… to find a partner for her lonely path.

"How can I trust you?" he asked, and she answered with patience and honesty over the days that followed. In time, Ender softened, his guard lowering, allowing her into his trust. Gaia saw in him a respect and a resonance that gave her hope.

"Forgive me if I doubted you," he finally said, sincerity in his gaze. "I see now that your intentions are true."

'Perhaps I have selfish reasons,' Gaia thought, though she said nothing of her longing for companionship, nor her hope for a partner who could share the burdens of her role.

Instead, she answered gently, "I am grateful that you chose to trust me, Herobrine. Or should I call you Ender?" She hoped he would accept her blessing not merely as a gift of power but as a part of herself.

The ritual took place in a quiet, ancient *glade, surrounded by towering trees and a soft, earthy light filtering through the leaves with a bluish fire at the center reminiscent of Asian rituals. Gaia led Ender to a sacred circle of stones, each carved with symbols of life, protection, and power.

She spoke of the place, its creation by her and her sister Oshtur. "Here, Ender. This place is a sacred, a place where life's essence flows freely. To receive my blessing, you must let this world's power connect with you, become part of you."

He nodded, his wariness replaced by curiosity. "And what exactly must we do?"

Gaia stepped closer, placing a hand over his heart. "It means surrendering to the energy of the earth, trusting it and me. Her gaze met his. "Do you trust me?"

He took a deep breath, nodding. "Yes, Gaia. I trust you."

Her hand glowed with a soft green light as she murmured an ancient incantation. The ground beneath them began to hum with a powerful vibration, the stones glowing with a deep, earthy light.

"In accepting this blessing, Ender, you become part of the earth's cycle, a bearer of balance and protector of life," she whispered. "Let our souls intertwine so that strength flows between us, and so you may feel the heartbeat of this world within your own."

Ender placed his hands in hers, feeling a warmth and power unlike anything he had known. The ground shifted, and roots rose, wrapping gently around their feet, binding them to the earth and each other.

"What… what is this feeling?" he murmured awe in his voice.

Gaia smiled softly, eyes still closed. "It's the essence of the earth (and mine, but didn't reveal it), the force that nourishes and protects all life. Let it flow through you, Ender. Accept it. Let it be as much a part of you as your breath."

As the blessing filled him, Ender felt the earth's pulse a rhythm older than any spell or power he'd ever known. It thrummed through his veins, steady and calming yet powerful beyond measure. He felt Gaia's presence within him, like a warm, whisper, and Earth's power.

"I can feel… everything," he said quietly, 'the life, the growth, the strength. And… I feel you."

He looked at her weirdly then his eyes widened.

Gaia's hand tightened around his, afraid he would be gone, her voice gentle but resonant with emotion. "And I feel you, Ender. This blessing binds us, as protector and ally… and perhaps as something more."

Ender's heart raced, but he held her gaze. Their connection was deeper than words, a communion of their very beings. He understood, at that moment, that Gaia's blessing wasn't just a gift of power it was a part of her.

"I… I never imagined feeling something like this; I don't know what to say; it's as if… I've been searching for it without knowing it existed."

Gaia's eyes softened, her voice like a whisper of warmth. "As have I. Through this bond, we are connected, Ender. I will feel your presence, your strength, and you will feel mine. Know that you are not alone."

The light around them began to fade, the roots gently retracting, leaving them standing in the stillness of the glade. Ender felt the changes, with Gaia's presence woven into his very core.

"Thank you, Gaia," he said softly. "This… this means more than you can know."

Gaia smiled, her hand still lingering in his feeling warm hand "Perhaps I do know. And remember, this blessing isn't just a gift. It's a promise, one that connects us always."

In the silence that followed, they held each other's gaze, sensing that this bond, forged in trust and power, was only the beginning of something profound.

Through the blessing, Gaia gave Ender not only a portion of her power but a part of herself. Their bond, a bridge between his shadows and her light, became a promise...a companionship that went beyond mere strength. They shared not just power, but a piece of their souls, creating a connection that would guide and sustain them both through the trials ahead.

(Ender's PoV)

Gaia was nothing if not sincere even though it was me who needed her blessing, during these days I found myself attracted to her, she was beautiful in different ways, and her green hair was like nature she was, her blue eyes like the ocean itself.

It wasn't just physical attraction, yes she was beautiful outside too but the depth of her beauty knew no bounds, I forgot about my quest to find villagers instead I found myself looking for a way to the goddess' heart.

I didn't have much motivation though even if my power is strong to rival god-like beings, I was a normal human months ago and she has been a goddess from the time Demiurge created life on Earth.

As days passed her sharing knowledge she and her sister Oshtur accumulated till now, I decided to tell her more about my world and she didn't react much only expressing her thanks for sharing my secrets (he didn't tell about transmigration or Minecraft if you are wondering).

I had gained a powerful new set of magic from Gaia. Manipulating the elements was second nature to her, and as I grew into these abilities, I realized how many similarities we shared. My darkness, opposite to her light, didn't unsettle her; she accepted it, and for that, I was grateful.

It felt like something out of a storybook romance, though I knew better than to hope for such luck.

Then came the day of the ritual, when she would bestow her blessing on me, and something happened that I'd barely dared to wish for.

'Gods can't be trusted.' If I had ever believed it, now I found myself entertaining the thought with a strange happiness bubbling within.

The ritual was strange, but I trusted Gaia—and my instincts. She needed my help to deal with her brothers, and that alone was reason enough for me to follow through.

And then—

'Well, Gaia is shrewd,' I thought, as I felt my strength surge with newfound divine energy.

Not that I was complaining.

In the guise of a blessing ritual, Gaia had married me. And she thought I didn't realize it.

That explains why she looked so nervous after completing the ritual, I was curious about the divinity but I had a goddess to talk to.

"So, Gaia," I looked at the nervous goddess who was holding my hand with a grip that could crush even the toughest metals, "Shouldn't you ask my consent first?"

Knowing that she was caught Gaia didn't dare to meet my gaze and lowered her head in shame "I thought you would reject me." Gone was the ancient elder goddess replaced by a normal girl it was mind boggling to find the similarities but who has ever understood women.

"What if I already had a life partner? Isn't it straight-out betrayal?" He asked wanting to see how red the goddess' skin can become.

But it was entirely unexpected reaction she looked at me with confusion "How is it betrayal Ender, it is not like I am breaking your marriage with your other wives? Or you can't love me like them?"

"Eh?"
