For a moment, Elisa was stunned at her stepdaughter's words, she couldn't believe Harlow would choose to lose her inheritance over something as common as marriage.

She even proposed remarrying Alanis just to escape it. Elisa frowned. She would never allow it, her Claudia wanted Alanis and him she shall have.

"You've made your decision Harlow, and we will grant your wish." Elisa started.

"If you do not marry Nathan Eagle, you will no longer be a part of this family, your inheritance will be taken from you as well as your stay in this mansion. You will need to fend for yourself from now on so that you will see what I and your father have to put up every day to provide for you." Harlow smiled and Elisa frowned.

It seems Harlow was yet to understand the gravity of the situation on the ground. Does she really understand what it feels like to lose your inheritance, your reason for living?
