Unwanted neighbour

Bai Meiyue agreed to buy the apartment. As she wanted no trouble, she paid the full amount and finished signing the contract. 

The agent was so happy after selling the apartment that he could no longer stop grinning. Bai Meiyue looked at the man who could no longer stop smiling and curled her lips in a slight arc. 

She knew that the agent was happy after getting such a good deal, and though Sunshine Deluxe apartments were really good and offered a great deal, there was a small problem. 

The building was too far from the main city, and thus, no one wanted to buy apartments here. If only they knew that one day this building would one day become the haven for many, who knows how popular it might become? 

Just as Bai Meiyue opened the door to send the agent off, she bumped into someone. Slightly surprised, she raised her head and found Lei Qian standing face to face with her in the corridor with his assistant. 

Bai Meiyue: "..." Good guy; she thought that the agent had given her a great deal. Who would have thought that he had dug a pit for her? 

"Miss Bai?" The man wearing a beige sweatshirt looked at her with a slight surprise in his eyes. 

Seeing the man stop in front of her, Bai Meiyue took a step back and wanted to shut the door in his face. What kind of messed-up luck was this? She came to this place because she wanted to nurse her pregnancy without any trouble. If Lei Qian was living right across from her, how was she going to have a safe pregnancy? Would she not die of worry every day? This man was quite a powerful supernatural being in her past life; what if he tried to snatch Xiao Cai? Or worse, get her to abort her son? 

Bai Meiyue couldn't be blamed for being suspicious and wary of Lei Qian. The last time the two of them met, this man had refused to be entangled with her. And as someone who had seen the ruthlessness of human nature in the post-apocalyptic world, Bai Meiyue had long turned suspicious of everything and everyone. 

What if Lei Qian found her as an obstacle and tried to get rid of her and her son? 

While Bai Meiyue was worrying about her future, Lei Qian had no such worry. In fact, he was really happy. Because he had treated Bai Meiyue quite rudely earlier, Lei Qian was rather heartbroken. 

He was thinking about how to make up with Bai Meiyue regarding the words that he had spoken and the hurtful things that he had said. Who would have thought that the two of them would become neighbours? 

Did he save someone from a burning fire? If not, why was his luck so good? His goddess was living right across his house! 

Lei Qian did not notice Bai Meiyue's vigilance; he looked at her with a friendly smile and asked, "Are you moving here?" 

"No," said Bai Meiyue. 

"Yes," said the agent.

The two of them spoke at the same time, and the different atmosphere made the atmosphere quite subtle. 

Bai Meiyue turned to look at the agent, who lowered his head. 

Lei Qian pretended to not notice. He knew that Bai Meiyue must be angry with him after the things he said to him, so he tried to suppress his excitement and said to her in a pleasant voice, "You have made the correct decision. Though this place is a bit far from the city, the scenery here is good. And there is a small park downstairs; there is also a pool court, and we can also have a barbecue on the ground floor." 

Listening to the man chatter, Bai Meiyue could not help but turn and look at the agent. 

Did he not say that this neighbour was not nosy and talkative? This was not being nosy and talkative. 

The agent, of course, understood the look in Bai Meiyue's eyes, but he had no words to defend himself. He was greatly wronged! The last time he met with Lei Qian, the man only glanced at him when he greeted him.

Who would have thought that he was this chatty!?
