The words of the brown-haired lady who grabbed his hand sent Dusken's mind racing with thoughts and one of them was... resignation.
'There is nothing I can do,' he though with an inward chuckle. The lady before him was a level 5, a being that had awakened a runic core.
He could feel the energy she exuded into the air, a sign of the core.
Dusken knew that dealing with her was a fantasy, based on his current methods.
Even if he possessed the Abyssal Flame, so what? He could barely match a level two with it, and his life was still threatened by the commander of the Althea nation.
Compared to the armoured lady before him, that level three commander was an insect that could squashed easily.
His thoughts churned rapidly as the suffocating stench of blood permeated the air, accompanied by cries of agony from soldiers who clashed while running.
