Five years before the Lich bomb
Deep within a forest, a baby human can be seen, wrapped in leaves and left all alone. She was left within a weird clear area within the forest. That area had no trees or bushes around the center for 100 ft. in each direction. The baby in the middle of that clear area was sound asleep despite the rustling of the trees and the screams of the animals around her.
That baby stayed there, sound asleep, snoring a bit with some drool going down her mouth. That was until the sun fell and a deep chill filled the air. The only light coming from the glowing moon in the sky.
In the forest surrounding the baby, something lurked in the shadows. The rustling of the trees got louder and louder as the creature approached. Sticks snapped as a bear appeared into the clearing.
It looked around and approached the sleeping girl. When the bear got right above her, the bear knelt and smelt the girl and even tasted it with its tongue. It was then going to go and try and take a bit of the baby when a loud bang was heard throughout the clearing.
Looking at the bear, blood could be seen dripping down its face from the large hole in its head. It then promptly fell over barely avoiding squishing the baby in the grass.
From the tree line, smoke could be seen coming out from the side of a gun that just barely poked into the field. The rifle slowly went back into the tree line and from that spot, a woman appeared. She came out from the tree line and walked towards the baby and the bear. On her back, the rifle used to shoot the bear could be seen.
Once she reached the center of the clearing, she looked down at the baby and then picked her up.
"Now, what do we have here" she says while looking at the baby. "Who in their right mind would just leave a baby out here all by themselves?"
She then went on to poke the baby a few times because despite the loud gunshot the baby was still asleep. After confirming the baby was still breathing, she put her down, cut out some of the meat from the bear she had hunted, and strapped it on her back.
She then once again took the baby and said to her. "You are one curious lass aren't ya. It's too dangerous to leave you out here all alone so you are coming with me. I will name you Ivy".
And with that said for the first time the child opened its eyes and stopped sleeping. She looked into the lady's eyes and giggled. The lady was shocked that not only had the child opened her eyes, but she also laughed instead of the usual infant crying.
The lady, too tired to deal with this issue in the dead of night, decided to head home. So, she started to walk out of the clearing with the baby in her arms with only the moon lighting her way.

4 and a half years later
As the sun rises over the horizon a small little hut can be seen on the outskirts of a tiny village. Inside said hut two people can be seen. One an older woman who seems to be getting on in age, the older lady is currently working on making something by a grill. The other human seems to be a small girl with dark green hair and pale white skin. She is seated hunched over a desk and seems to be writing something in a book.
Pov- Ivy
'Dear Diary' I think while I write it out. 'Today marks my four and a half years old birthday. Mom gave me this book earlier as a gift and told me to write a diary to have because apparently when I am old, I will look back at this and feel a great amount of something called "nostalgia" or something like that.'
As I am writing I can hear my mother off in the background singing as she cooks. "Baking pancakes, baking baking pancakes ..." She sings and continues to sing as I zone her out.
'My mother is very weird' I continue to write. 'I know that she is not my biological mother because she has told me the story of how she found me many of times but despite that I still think of her as my mom.'
As I write those words I turn around and look at my mother who is singing and dancing while making breakfast for us.
I turn back around and continue to write. 'Even though I am often sad that she is not my real mom, at moments like this I am often glad that she isn't because it means I have a chance not to inherent her weirdness.'
After shaking my head to remove the image of my mother I continued. 'Enough about my mother though, more about me. As said before today I am 4 ½ years old, although this is a rough estimate because I don't know how long I was sitting there. Anyway, some facts about me are that although I am very young, tomorrow marks the day I start 2nd grade. Since I was born, I have always been very smart, although not the best with English, the rest comes naturally to me. Due to that fact I have skipped a few grades and am ahead of my peers. Though this does often lead to a bit of loneness due to being much younger than everyone else but it's fine, I am getting through it. Another fact about me is that my favorite thing to do is be outside due to how natural it feels to me. It's almost like I can hear the voices of the trees and ...'
Just as I was finishing my thoughts my mother called to me, "Ivy, it is breakfast time."
As I heard that I set down my diary with a bookmark on the page and over for some food. As I approached, I hear my mother say, "I made your favorite, pancakes and bacon."
I groan while I hear this. "There not my favorite mother" I replied, "The are your favorite, I like waffles and eggs, remember?"
My mother looked at me with a curious expression, "Are you sure they aren't your favorite? When did that change?"
"Yes, I am sure mom, and it has never changed. Pancakes and bacon have always been yours favorite." I replied gently. 'My mother has been like this for as long as I have known her. She is getting quite old into her 60s now.'
I then looked over at a picture on the wall, on it were three people, one with very similar looks to my mother before me, only younger. There was also a man hugging the two people with a long beard. Finally, there was a young girl who seemed to be around 10 to 11. 'Although this is the only way I have known my mother, she apparently much different before the accident' I thought. 'She has been experiencing memory issues ever sense the car crash taking both her husband and daughter.' I look down sadly when remembering this. 'Although there is the good thing that her memory issue led to her thinking, she was still into hunting like she did when she was young. That lap in memory led to her finding me.'
As I was thinking all of that, mom had already started digging into the food on her plate. She then reached out and stole a piece of bacon off my plate and ate it as I stared in shock.
After eating it she grinned at me and said, "You snooze, you lose sweetie. Remenber to always protect what is important to you, even if it's just a piece of bacon." With that said she reached and tried to steal another before I snatched it away first.
I then glared at her and said, "I swear, one day I shale get revenge for that bacon that you ate." I then kept glaring at her and in return, she glared at me. We stared right at each other, no one looking away until.
"Hahahahaha." We both laughed out loud and with that laugh we went back to eating our food and having a good time. With that our breakfast passes and we can start our day.
