After a few moments of silence, Bo Qiang finally spoke into the phone, "Hold on for just a minute; I'll call you back."

His secretary, noticing that her boss seemed a bit distracted, replied, "Okay."

Once Bo Qiang slowly hung up the phone, he turned his attention to Lina, a hint of curiosity flickering in his eyes. "So, are you interested in coming to the party with me?" he asked, gauging her reaction.

Lina's face lit up instantly, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she eagerly nodded her head several times. It was clear that the thought of spending time with him thrilled her.

However, Bo Qiang found her enthusiasm somewhat puzzling. "But don't you have classes at college today?" he asked, genuinely curious.

Lina confirmed that she did, but quickly added, "I only have one class today, and the party isn't until later tonight, right?"

He nodded, taking a moment to process her words. "Are you absolutely sure about this?" he inquired, wanting to ensure she was committed to the idea.

With a playful glint in her eyes, Lina replied, "I can't let my dear brother attend the party without a date. Who knows? Someone might try to kidnap you because you're just so handsome!"

Bo Qiang, who had maintained a serious demeanor until then, couldn't help but burst into laughter at her cheeky comment. He affectionately ruffled her hair and said, "Keep joking like that; it really suits you."

After their light-hearted exchange, Bo Qiang picked up his phone again to dial his secretary and update him on the new plans for the evening. Yuan, the secretary, was taken aback by the unexpected news and thought to himself, Why does this seem so strange?

However, being quick-witted, Yuan swiftly confirmed that he understood the new arrangements and began making calls to organize everything. He wouldn't fully grasp the significance of this moment until later, when he saw his boss dating Lina, realizing how all these changes had come to be.

Once they finished breakfast, Bo Qiang drove Lina to college, gradually growing accustomed to this new routine that felt oddly comfortable. The drive was filled with easy conversation, laughter, and a sense of connection that was beginning to blossom between them.

Once they arrived at the campus, just before Lina hopped out of the car, Bo Qiang paused for a moment and said, "I'll arrange for my secretary to pick you up after your classes. He'll take you to the salon for hair and makeup, and our family stylist will meet you there to help you find the perfect outfit."

Lina stopped and thought for a moment, her brows furrowing slightly in concern. "But what about you?" she asked.

Bo Qiang considered his agenda for the day before responding, "I have two meetings scheduled today, so I won't be able to pick you up from college. However, I'll have Secretary Yuan take you directly to my office when you're finished, and then we can go to the party together from there."

Lina's face beamed with happiness at his words, and she nodded enthusiastically. "Thanks, Bo Qiang!" she exclaimed, stepping out of the car with a bright smile. In her excitement, she even forgot to call him "brother." Unbeknownst to her, Bo Qiang noticed this slip and felt a twinge of discomfort, yet he couldn't help but enjoy the new dynamic. She should just call me by my name, he thought, feeling a slight conflict within himself.

As Lina waved goodbye and walked away, Bo Qiang buried that fleeting thought, forcing himself back into his usual composed demeanor.

Watching the car pull away, Lina let out a sigh of relief. "I'm so glad he agreed to this. Now I just have to make sure they don't cross paths." Her mind raced with excitement and anticipation about the upcoming party, making her feel a bit giddy as she hurried off to her class.
