"He died because of it," Casildo finished coldly, his arms crossed, his glare icy and condemning.
"It was an accident! I swear, I didn't mean to!" Frans cried, his voice pleading.
Galen's voice cut through the air like a blade. "Intentional or not, you're still responsible for causing someone's death."
"What did you do with his body afterward?" Arkana demanded, his tone laced with suspicion.
Frans lowered his head even further. "I panicked… I didn't know what to do… so I stayed there for hours. Then, when night fell, I decided to move his body to the cornfield and bury it there," he admitted.
The Hunt Captain furrowed his brow, deep in thought. "And the monsters?"
"They appeared as I was leaving the field. They dug up where I buried Dio's body..."
Kairav stroked his chin thoughtfully, Frans' story aligning perfectly with his theory. "It's clear now… These monsters are definitely drawn to the scent of blood," he murmured.
