The door opened slowly and Lia stepped in. She bolted to a stop as she saw Lunari buried in an embrace with Ace and she swallowed hard.
She decided to give them a little koee time, but she never retracted her steps. Her eyes were calculative and they never left the two.
Ace, who had seen Lia walk in and mount to a stop in surprise, removed his unhinged hands from his pockets, wrapping them around the princess while his gaze watched Lia keenly.
He pulled Lunari to himself and whispered some words into her ears.
"How long have you known Lia?"
"Why are you asking?" Lunari returned with a question, a little surprised he was suddenly asking.
"She seems a little different from regular elfs. No wings like yours."
"She got into an accident that claimed her wings when she was little… so I was told. She has also seen a sliver of what happens later today. That's her special ability— the gift to see the future.
