Reincarnation?!

Reincarnation?!

Christopher died.

He knew he had died because his vision went black and he lost all feeling in his body. Just like how people always speculated.

In the brief instant before death, he wondered what would happen.

He wasn't particularly religious, so he doubted he'd end up in whatever paradise was there. If there was one anyway.

Then there was also a very popular theory that was reincarnation. That if someone died they would be reborn as something else, maybe human, or some other animal.

Christopher had no idea which one awaited him, so he just hoped that whatever it was, it would be good.

So when darkness fully engulfed him, his soul that was invisible to everyone left his body.

It floated upwards beforehand shooting out at a speed that far suroassed light. Out of the Earth's atmosphere and into outer space.

At impossible speeds his soul flew, passing by planets, stars, galaxies, galaxy clusters, and galactic filaments.

It passed by all of these until, in just a few seconds, it left the boundaries of the universe.

Still, his soul didn't stop and kept traveling. And as it did, it passed unimaginably large bubbles that represented other universes, and as it moved, other souls could be seen near it as it appeared that they had a similar destination.

His soul moved, and the souls around it became more and more until and entire river of souls shot through the empty space between universes, and their destination was somewhere that many individuals couldn't even fathom.

At the end of the massive ocean of souls, there was a structure so massive that it seemed impossible for such a thing to exist.

A massive gold and white palace appeared with its size dwarfing hundreds of universes. And at its massive front, a door that was made up swirling light could be seen, and all the souls passed through it.

It was through this door that the various souls would be inspected before being reborn.

Christopher's souls, a small white orb floated amongst its peers and moved towards the door. The moment he passed through, his memories would be wiped and he would be reborn as a completely new entity.

That was how it was supposed to be, that is.

Christopher's soul was about halfway towards the massive gate when a phenomenon occured.

Far in the distance, a light flickered. And then far faster than the souls were moving, it shot towards the river.

It didn't seem to have a specific destination as it just flew in a straight line leaving a streak in its wake as it flew so fast.

Even though the soul river was in front of it, it didn't change its direction and just zoomed. The moment it reached the soul river, it impacted the soul that was in its way. And this soul, happened to be Christopher's soul.

It hit his soul, but there was no impact. Instead, the light fused with his soul and settled in the very center.

After that, not happened for a moment. And then, the light began to shine and proliferate within Christopher's soul. And then, it vanished.

Like it was never there, Christopher's soul disappeared and a soul quickly took its place.

This phenomenon didn't alert anybody, hence no one would know what had occured. However the implications of this phenomenon would shake the very fabrics of reality on an unimaginable scale, and no entity would be unaffected.

However, that was something that would happen far in the future. For now though, we'll turn our focus back to Christopher's soul and where it disappeared to.

In a world an incalculable distance away from earth, a figure could be seen face down on the floor, his clothes tattered and bloody. It didn't take a genius to realize that he was dead.

However, at that moment, a small orb invisible to the normal eyes suddenly appeared right above it before sinking into the body's chest. And then amazingly, all the wounds on the figure's body began to heal rapidly.

In no time at all, the the broken bones and torn skin had been healed, and there were no scars whatsoever. The only indication of injury was the blood on the clothes, but that was all.

A few seconds passed, and then the figure's chest rose.

"Ugh!" With a groan, the figure shifted before rolling into his back. And shockingly, the person's face looked exactly like Christopher. And it was.

"What happened? Where am I?" He asked to no one in particular as he sat up and rubbed his head that was throbbing.

"The last thing I remember was…!" At that moment, memories of what happened flooded Christopher's brain. His eyes widened in shock before he blinked and blew out a breath.

"Right, I died." Then he looked around in confusion.

"But if I died, how come I'm here? Wherever this place is anyway." He was about to get up a a sharp pain suddenly assaulted his brain causing him to groan and clutch his head.

Then, memories, ones that he was positive didn't belong to him flooded his mind. He closed his eyes and gritted his teeth through the pain, trying to comprehend what he was seeing at the same time.

Nearly half an hour later, the pain stopped. Christopher's eyes opened, however his gaze was filled with shock.

"I… reincarnated!?" He mumbled as that was the best explanation he could think off.

The memories that filled his brain just now came from the body he was in. He was in a completely new world named Altrea, and the body he was in, actually was very similar to his own, nearly identical.

The person was also named Christopher and from the few memories where he looked at a reflective surface, he noticed that he looked the same as well.

Even their last was somewhat similar as the Christopher was also an orphan who, upon reaching adulthood, loved a very unfulfilling life. However, this one never met anybody like Joan, and what pushed him to death was that he'd gotten so tired of his situation that out of desperation, he ran into the forest with a knife wanting to strike it lucky and harvest a rare herb.

However, this desire didn't last very long as soon after entering, he was chased by a pack of wolves and got to the edge of the cliff. And in the hopes that he could survive the fall instead of dying to the wolves for sure, he made a gamble and jumped.

The gamble failed.

This Christopher died almost instantly, and the one now in his body entered and took over.

"There are numerous degrees of messed up, and this is on a whole nother level." Christopher shivered, feeling uncomfortable in his own skin. But was it really his?

He shook his head, dwelling on that wouldn't do him any good. Instead, he focused on something else in the memories that really caught his interest.

This world had magic.

It sounded insane, but then again, so did him reincarnating.

He sighed. Magic or not, this body was just as miserable as he was in his past life. Even if there was magic in the world, this one couldn't use it.

Christopher was about to mope when he suddenly felt a vibration at the back of his skull giving him a strange feeling.

Before he could dwell on the feeling though, a holographic screen suddenly appeared in front of his eyes.

<System calibration complete. Welcome master> A monotone voice filled his mind.

"Huh?" Christopher let out incredulously.

<This is the master's System. It named 10,000× Dimensional system.> The voice said, answering Christopher's question before he could even think to ask it.

<The system's main priorities are making the master stronger as well keeping him alive.< p>

<The system is not a construct made by any being or entity, so master has no need to worry about controlled forced yo do someone else's bidding.>

<The system was created after absorbing the energy required to generate universes for billions of years. And it initially had no primary use, but fusing with master's soul, morphed create what is now known as 10,000× Dimensional system.> In quick succession, the system answered all the questions that were forming in Christopher's mind.

Christopher blinked.

"Okay, what exactly is your primary function?" For the first time, the system actually allowed him to ask what was on his mind, seeming to sense his irritation at getting his mind read.

<The system's primary ability lies in the fact that through master's efforts, he can create a dimension whereby anything is put inside be enhanced by ten thousand times. And after reaching certain size as well fulfilling prerequisites, will evolve and everything undergo another times enhancement.> The system paused and Christopher was stunned, but it wasn't done.

<As for its growth limitations. There are none.> It hit him with a final bombshell and Christopher felt his heart pound in excitement

Just from the memories of the previous holder of this body, Christopher knew how insanely dangerous this world was. But with a system like this, maybe, just maybe, he could protect himself.

He knew he shouldn't trust its words, but he didn't exactly have a choice. Thus, he just rolled with it and hoped it was legit.

"Can you like, ascertain my stats or whatever?" Christopher asked. He didn't play many games, but that was because of his ability to get them. The few he did play held a deep place in his heart.

<Of course.> The system replied.

<Name: Christopher< p>

Race: Human

Rank: Rankless

Affinity: None

Physique: Average

Bloodline: None

Dimensional abilities→ >

Christopher saw the screen and his eyes gleamed. He was sure that by this world's standards, he was complete trash. But he knew it wouldn't remain that way for long.

He focused his haze on the dimensional abilities and a new window opened.

<Time Dilation: 1:1< p>

Dimensional Enslavement (Level 1)

Dimensional Management (Level 1)>

Christopher saw the abilities and his eyes glittered. Time dilation was self explanatory, he reasoned that the ratio was one to one because his dimension was still at level one.

As for the other abilities, he wasn't too sure.

<Dimensional Enslavement: When a living being is brought into the dimension, as long they are weaker than master, will instantly become master's subordinates.>

<Dimensional Management: The master can freely control the dimension and its environment. Whether it be changing landscape, managing creatures inside, or dictating laws within. All these are under master's control.>

"... Woah." Was all Christopher could say at the moment. The first ability literally did what its name said which was insane as it meant that if the lifeform was even a little bit weaker than him, he could just chuck them into the dimension and they'd automatically become his subordinates.

And the second ability, pretty much just made him a god as long as he was inside the dimension. So even if he pulled in someone stronger than him, he would still have the absolute home advantage.

"System, take me into the dimension." He commanded while suppressing his excitement. He needed to see exactly what he was working with first.
