46. Wolf Cubs of the Stark Family

The director, introduced, "This is Miss Sansa, the eldest daughter of Lord Eddard!"

Jason Liu smiled and said, "Your beauty is impressive, especially your long red hair that shines like satin." He had read many Western-themed stories and knew how to offer a compliment in that style.

Sansa, who was only about 13, was indeed beautiful. It was easy to imagine that she would grow into an enchanting woman who could turn heads everywhere.

When Jason Liu complimented her, Sansa couldn't help but smile shyly. Her delicate face lit up, and she replied, "Thank you for your kind words, Mr. Jason. You are quite handsome yourself."

Jason Liu was surprised. Was he really handsome? It wasn't common for someone like Sansa to praise him.

"This is Miss Arya, the second daughter of Lord Eddard!" Wei Yang continued with the introductions.

Arya had dark hair and did not have the same beauty as her sister Sansa, but there was a boldness about her.

With a curious look, Arya examined Jason Liu and asked, "Are you the noble from the foreign lands everyone is talking about?"

"Arya—" Robb, her older brother, shot her a warning glance.

This was their first meeting, and Robb wanted to ensure that their family made a good impression. He didn't want anyone to think the Stark family was rude.

Noticing Robb's glare, Arya realized her mistake. Despite her dislike for stiff formalities, she had grown up in a noble family and knew better than to act disrespectfully.

Straightening up, Arya said, "Welcome to the North, Lord Jason. We hope you enjoy your time in Winterfell!"

Jason Liu smiled and nodded. "Thank you for the invitation, Miss Arya! I will definitely visit Winterfell to see Lord Eddard and Lady Catelyn when I have the chance."

Finally, the director introduced Bran, the second son of Lord Eddard.

"You can call me Bran, my lord. That's what my father, mother, Robb, Sansa, and Arya call me!" At not even 9 years old, Bran was already quite charming, and he spoke with a confident air that belied his age.

"Of course, it's a pleasure to meet you, Bran!" Jason Liu replied warmly, noticing how adorable the boy was. "You're the most handsome and lovely boy I've seen!"

Bran didn't react much to the compliment; he was used to being praised. Everyone in Winterfell knew he was cute and charming.

Robb, Sansa, and the others felt happy about this. Bran was the favorite child of their family, even more so than little Rickon.

It was a bit sad for Rickon, the youngest, who deserved affection too, but he wasn't as good-looking as Bran.

"Such a shallow society!" Jason Liu thought, shaking his head inwardly at the obsession with appearances.

After introducing the young members of the Stark family, director went on to introduce Boris, the assistant to Maester Luwin, along with his daughter Jenny, who served as Sansa's maid, and Harris, one of Lord Eddard's bodyguards.

Once the formalities were done, Jason Liu instructed Lena, Susan, and the others to move the chairs and invited the Stark children to sit around a table inside.

Venissa and Bella brought in trays filled with bright and juicy apples, pears, grapes, toffee, and cookies.

These treats were purchased by Jason Liu and were intended as snacks for everyone.

Lena, Venissa, Bella, and Michal loved these snacks, and even Robb, Sansa, Arya, and Bran were amazed to see such vibrant red apples.

They were aware that these large, beautiful apples were cultivated for hundreds of years in the modern world.

In contrast, the apples in Westeros were usually small and green, as they were often picked before ripening, making them taste bad.

The pears were shiny and golden, the grapes were a deep, clear purple, and the cookies were cutely shaped, far better than anything typically available in Westeros.

Bran was especially drawn to the bear-shaped cookies. When Jason Liu encouraged everyone to try the treats, Bran eagerly grabbed a cookie and devoured it, crumbs scattered across his happy face.

Robb munched on some sweet, crystal-like grapes and thought to himself, "Lord Jason truly is as remarkable as the rumors say. He must be a high-ranking noble from the far East."

After all, no ordinary noble could afford such luxuries. The Stark family, rulers of the North, had never enjoyed such fresh fruits and delightful snacks.

Due to poor transportation conditions and long travel times, maintaining the freshness of fruits was incredibly costly. Most noble families in the North could not indulge in such extravagance.

Boris, the assistant to Maester Luwin, wiped his mouth with his sleeve as he held a big red apple, unable to contain his curiosity. "Lord Jason, how did you manage to help little Lillian with her illness? I saw her condition myself; it was quite serious, and I doubt the local healers could have treated her."

"Little Lillian had a bacterial infection that caused her body to heat up, leading to a severe inflammation. Luckily, I brought along a very effective medicine from my homeland specifically for treating such inflammation, which helped her recover."

Jason Liu quickly explained, wanting to clarify that he didn't possess any special medical skills.

He didn't truly understand medicine; he had just happened to have the right medicine with him.

So, if someone came to him for help in the future, he would only provide the medicine, not offer any guarantees.

"If it works, great; if not, it's not my fault," he thought. "I'm just a supplier of medicine."

Boris was intrigued by the medicine that had cured little Lillian. He assumed that his master, Maester Luwin, would also be interested.

Maesters usually assisted lords in managing their lands while also studying various subjects, including unconventional healing practices.
